Yeah, PETA probably won't care, but the cops sure will.

Especially since possession* of that is itself a crime, because federal law requires fake guns have a 6mm orange tip.

Edit: *As Chicken-n-Waffles so accurately points out, the law specifies transport rather than possession. Whether walking down the street carrying one is "transport" is between the DA and your defense attorney to work out.

You are correct.

When my girlfriend and I moved in together years ago she brought a cat with her who was afraid of all my guns. She was shot by a pellet gun as a kitten and never forgot. Of course, a few years of living with me she wasn't afraid anymore but I'll never forget how she acted.

Let me repeat this since you didn't get it the first time: PETA doesn't run shelters. They run a humane animal euthanasia service to make sure it is done right. They are open about this, its not some conspiracy.

Yep, they say having a "companion animal"(they don't like the word pets) is cruel and that all pets should be put to sleep.

Personally with all the warm shelter, provided food, play time, treats, love and attention my dog gets he has never seemed too upset about it. Although he does get a bit cranky in the morning when the other dog wants to go out and wakes him up.

You're thinking of Animal Abolitionist groups, such as the ALF (Animal Liberation Front), which believe animal ownership is a form of slavery.

PETA falls under the Animal Rights group, which believe that animals deserve rights [right to die humanely (which is their first goal before the eradication of all systematic breeding for consumption), protection to certain extents, animal welfare, and health services].

I believe what you are referring to is their belief of an animal's right to die humanely. There is an animal overpopulation problem, PETA knows this. Their solutions: Everyone owns a pet (you can't force people to own pets), house them all (they'll keep breeding), or euthanize as a last resort (in a humane fashion).

Still animal rights. Even if you don't know what animal rights means.

PETA believes that euthanasia is the most humane method of dealing with animals forced to spend a long time in cages in shelters or who have certain kinds of illnesses.

No, for fucks sake will you fucking listen to what I am saying. Ingrid said in no uncertain terms that all animals are better off dead than as companion animals(pets). It has nothing to do with shelters or breeders or humane kills(which they have been busted time after time killing animals in non humane ways). They have also said they would rather see a pet euthanized than adopted out.

They site cannot be trusted, PETA has been caught over and over again flat out lying and doing things that don't agree with the BS propaganda they push out. Don't be such a sheep.

They are and have always been against selective breeding, but not adopting animals.

They do look easier to hold, but the leash is bound to be that short with the lack of space left for it to reel-in. I guess current retractable designs are as compact as possible.

I once had a Doberman Pincher that would freak out at the sight of a toy gun. He was abused by a previous owner for the first year of his life and he was apparently traumatized by a gun somehow. Let's just say, I wouldn't of last to long with this leash.
