The best part of this is Doc Rivers yelling "Rondo!" constantly while he was doing that.

I personally love this. It was not during a timeout or anything so it was fair game. If he had been over there during an official time out I wouldn't agree with it.

And he certainly would have gotten a technical.

I love Rajon Rondo for this. There is no rule in the NBA that says you can't listen in on a huddle...espionage is important. Also, this is probably the reason the celtics have beaten the Heat every game they've played this year.

You actually can not listen to another teams huddle during a time out, but because this was a stopage due to official review it's allowed. They spoke about it during the game when this was happening.

Best PG in the NBA!

You may want to look up Derrick Rose.

Chris Paul is better. CP3 is #4 in the league in PER (24.5) while Rose is #11 in the league (23.3).

Chris Paul is also #1 in Win Shares and Win Shares/48 minutes despite his team having fewer wins. Rose is #6 in Win Shares and #12 in WS/48.

Chis Paul's net on-court / off-court net plus-minus +12.6 vs +1.2 for Drose.

Derrick Rose is a great player, but the media and everyone else is too quick in saying Rose is the best PG in the league. I've also heard people regard Rose as the best player in the league, which is ridiculous.

but he's not up for an mvp? D. Rose baby

I'll admit, Rose is greater offensively, he can carry his team and take them to a win. But Rondo is a different type of monster. His defense and passing can greatly influence the flow of a game. Both Rose and Rondo are in a team that run more of a half-court type game and Rose thrives in that by being able to weave his way through traffic and cut to the basket in a very calm manner, but Rondo turns his team into a great transition team because of his ball control, in combination with being a great half-court team.

All in all, they're both great PG's but I just love Rondo. Rose may be up for MVP but that's because Rondo does a lot of things for the Celtics that don't show up in the stat-books which pretty much kills his chances of being an MVP.

rondo isnt even on the same page as williams or rose. he cant shoot for the life of him and turns the ball over waaaaaaay too much

Hey why is your name freshjive?

[–]freshjive 0 points1 point ago

Freshjive is one of my favorite clothing companies. Don't know why I got down voted for stating a fact; rondo cant shoot and does indeed turn the ball over a lot. That being said, he still is top 5 pg's in the league.

Ohhh you like freshjive? That's dope, I work there. :D

Chris Paul is in a league of his own when it comes to PG. Rondo can't score for shit and Rose can't play D or pass as well as Paul. Williams is probably the second best, but he just isn't as good as Paul at really anyhting.

I like when people write ridiculous, subjective things and pose them as if they are fact.

None of these statements are really that ridiculous. I agree that CP3 is the best point guard in the league.

Chris Paul has the highest PER of any point guard by far and is #1 in the league in win shares.

Rondo is not a consistent scorer. He's been averaging <40% FG% recently and only averages 10.2 points.

Rose's defense is slightly above average at best and definitely isn't as good a passer as Paul. Paul's on the All-NBA Defensive team and averages way more assists than Rose in fewer minutes.

Chris Paul is better in almost every statistical category versus Deron Williams. Dwill has CP3 beat this season in points, but CP3 takes far fewer shots and is definitely capable of averaging more points than Dwill as he has most of his career.

I disagree that Dwill is 2nd best though. Drose, Westbrook, and Steve Nash are all better than Dwill.

Well I don't really know the context for this but what he did was childish. Although it isn't against the rules technically, it's still very bad sportsmanship.

Basically the Heat and Celtics have a bit of tension (Both eastern conference teams that meet in the playoffs often). During this game, Rondo was being a defensive machine against the Heat and he loves to annoy ball-handlers during defense. (He plays 1-man full court press and constantly pokes at the ball while they dribble). To continue being annoying to LeBron he kept trying to get into their huddle. It was pretty much him trying to get into their heads.

Seems to be a bunch of Celtics fans here who feel like they must protect their team through down voting.

It's not the NBA, but I wonder how these Boston fans feel about A-Rod's yelling at an infielder in an attempt to make him drop the catch. Not against the rules, but unprofessional and childish.

Rando is a gnat. And is overrated, you would never see Drose playing those games.

This was a dick move. Not a Heat fan myself, but like Wilbon said at the time, Heat players could just as well have shoved him to the floor and the officials would have to call a double technical if anything.
