PROTIP from someone who lives in tulip-land: the Keukenhof (even though it can be extremely crowded) is a good destination, it is pretty and well done, etc etc, however: I personally prefer the raw display of quantity in the commercial fields. Forget all those lovely arranged displays in the Keukenhof, it's standing in those monochromatic mega-fields of RED, then YELLOW, then PINK, that will bring you real joy. On most days you'll only see a few clever (or lost?) Japanese tourists snapping pics with their grandkids and the odd local photographer on a bicycle.
