At first I thought Batman just didn't have a sense of humor, but then i realized:
Batman just trolled the Joker!
Because he's the goddamn Batman! Think about it, how else do you defeat the Joker without just giving him a batarang lobotomy? You troll the ever-living shit outta him!
TL;DR Batman truly knows how to defeat his enemies.
