    This reminds me of the time I taught my son to sign for milk. He was like a monster for big boobs (I guess being breast fed with a pair of D's gave him a complex :P) . He would get really excited when he saw a pair he liked, and would make the milk gesture and babble excitedly, while attempting to get them. It was mortifying and hilarious at the same time, especially when we were both caught checking out the same pair.

        Well here's a nice easy one: "Fuck". Make a "V" shape with your middle finger and pointer finger on each hand. Keep your ring and pinky finger down, and rest your thumb on top of them so only the "V" sticks out (sorta like the peace sign). Now stick the "V"s out horizontally and tap them together. That's the sign for "fuck." Basically think of the "V"s as people's legs and you get the picture. You can do variations for doggy (one with "knees" bent, and one vertical behind it with movement), girl on top (two fingers together horizontally, other two mounting them), etc, etc, and people will know what you mean.

        "Shit" is done by making a thumbs up sign with your dominant hand, wrapping the other hand around the thumb, and then pulling your dominant hand down so your thumb looks like excrement coming out.

        "Bitch" is done by making the sign for B (dominant hand out strait like a karate chop, except with the thumb folded in across your palm) starting on your lips and then moving sharply down.

        P.S. Sign language has all sorts of fun words. For instance the sign for "drunk" is the same sign as for "bar" except that when you bring it to your mouth you miss.

          Sign Language is more of a living language than almost any other on earth. As such, words are prone to change. This goes doubly for slang.

          When in doubt, just mime it. That's what deaf people do. I'm sure you've seen people mime signs for masturbation, and blow job (hand in "O" shape moves twoards mouth, use tongue to push out cheek). Those are, quite honestly, the signs. Cunnilingus is signed by making a "V" with your middle finger and pointer finger, palm facing you, and flicking your tongue in it. You get the point.

          My nephew (also breast fed) was obsessed with boobs. His mom was a B cup (even breast feeding) and I'm a DD... as soon as he could control his hands, he started trying to pull my shirt down any time I gave him a bottle. This was acceptable at home - I'd just move his hand away from my bra and onto his bottle as many times as it took, but it meant that I was unable to feed him in public unless I was wearing a turtleneck.

          Eventually, when he started making up his own signs, my name was the same as boobs. (Yes, the bugger made up a sign for boobs. He'd do it - a clenched right fist on his jaw - and point to boobs.)

          figured i'd answer your question since the OP isn't.

          I'm fluent in ASL so i signed with my daughter all the time and more than just 'key words.' I began "sign training" in earnest around 6 mo, watching vids and signing to her every time we BF'd or ate, read a book, etc. She signed milk at 9 mo... got a cute vid up on youtube if you care to see it. And she was definitely not signing complete sentences, she could speak many words in short sentences rather well at 16mo and could chat in full paragraphs by 2. Signing was a great tool for us but it did not replace speaking, and besides, all the hand coordination it takes to do full sentences in ASL is a bit much for youngsters.

          It truly helped communication though. Even now when she is upset she demonstrates very clearly the theory of "emotional language regression" and begins signing short words or sentences, because her mouth is too busy crying. :)

                Also even though I'm not a particular fan of Hooters, I don't have a problem with kids going there occasionally until they are somewhat older than 10. The kids don't understand the implications of the way they use their waitresses.

                What I thought was really inappropriate was my brother's ex mother-in-law would take her 19 year old son, who had the intellect of a 6 year old there regularly. He already had both behavioral problems from poor parenting and was getting an inkling about girls. Going there was hurting his behavior.
