It's even worse when the owners use that deodorizing spray that's supposed to cover up the smell. It'll make you hate ferrets and whatever scent the spray is. (in my case, zucchini)

My sister told me the other day she wanted a ferret and I told her they are disgusting and stink and shit everywhere. She said no they are cute and will be in a cage so they wont shit anywhere but in the cage. Then proceeded to compare a ferret shitting everywhere and smelling like ass was the same thing as my husky occasionally having an accident on the floor.

Ferrets are domesticated by definition, but, they do stink. Some definitely are potty trained though; just not the majority.

The parents in that story are total idiots, and would not waste my time defending them, but many domestic dogs and cats could be trusted to leave you and your kids be if you fell asleep watching TV on the sofa.

Bottom line is, having wild animals in a house with children is borderline retarded behavior. Rats, ferrets, and other vermin are not domesticated in any way shape or form, and they have no place in a safe home.
