Pie, eyeball, and dynamite.
[–]Novacula 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago
The Eyeball of Observation, the Pie of Opportunity, and the Dynamite of Unintended Consequences.
[–]fakealgore 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago
I came here to report the same thing. I think it's blueberry pie.
[–]bobethy 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago
This will be in the next National Treasure movie.
[–]Ohsin 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago
sigh No body cares about the god..
[–]Kado_Isuka 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago
Well, pie is more important than imaginary friends in my book.
[–]mquane 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago
SKY PIE!
[–]longshot 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago
What the fuck? Did this appear in an issue of Scholastics or something?
[–]fani 72 points73 points74 points 2 years ago
God didn't create Man in God's image.
Man created God in Man's image.
[–]exscape 58 points59 points60 points 2 years ago
I saw this version a few days ago:
Man created God in his image: intolerant, sexist, homophobic and violent.
[–]Cyrius 22 points23 points24 points 2 years ago
"You can safely assume that you've created God in your own image when it turns out that God hates all the same people you do." -- Anne Lamott
[–]validuserer 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago
That's a really good quote. I'll have to make sure I remember it.

"Man made God so God could make man / man made the devil so that he can understand / why it is that everyday / always turns out this way" - 'Fated' by Matthew Good
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago
You just need to look at the old testament to confirm it.
[–]Palin_Beck_2012 -6 points-5 points-4 points 2 years ago*
Yes, we should believe someone called fani [SIC] over and above the word of the Gospels. Before you insult our Lord any further, let me utterly destroy you with one single question.
How could man have created God who created the whole universe, if man himself (as your own Theory of Evolution says) is the product of the nature of a world in this universe? Isn't that a logical paradox? How could man have been created if God wasn't there - which proves man couldn't possibly have created God.

I LIKE TURTLES
[–]sotonohito 8 points9 points10 points 2 years ago
Excellent use of a novelty username, I approve sir/madam!
[–]gmcdonald93 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago
Why don't you get the message yet? Your are a terrible example of trolling and your comments are not funny at all.
This is why you're my current favorite redditor.
[–]lungfish59 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago
Let's have a troll-off. I know pitofdoom has been in a slump lately, but I think he could beat PB2021 heads up.
Here's an idea. We pick a topic. Flip a coin. And they start responding to each other. The first one to hit -100 karma points wins!
[–]monesy 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago
I am very surprised that you have the brain power required to turn on your computer. Talk about a paradox...
[–]auriem 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago
Do you play with your testes while typing garbage like that ?
I thought about responding to your vitriol with some inflammatory comments and insensitive photoshops of Beck and Palin, instead I decided to reply to each and every comment you make with this message.
[–]IConrad 3 points4 points5 points 2 years ago
I'm just going to go ahead and ask you if you comprehend that the guy is one of those novelty accounts.
I know that everyone wants to believe it's a novelty account, unfortunately i'm pretty sure that it isn't.
[–]sotonohito 6 points7 points8 points 2 years ago
Poe's law in action.
I take him as a novelty account with a very good act. I hope I'm right.
[–]auriem 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago
Hadn't heard of Poe's law before, interesting read, tks.
Given the fact that the Palin/Beck candidacy is essentially a physical non-possibility, I don't think there's much to worry about there.
Also, if we consider the reddits this guy's in, he's basically just an obvious troll. I.e.; a novelty account.
[–]missioninfinite 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago
I agree. He puts way more time and energy into his posts than the average novelty account redditor. If it is a novelty account he's the most dedicated troll I've ever seen.
[–]enkiam 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago
Dear auriem,
auriem
Signed, common sense.
[–]auriem 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago
I respect your opinion and hope that you are correct.
[–]Grus 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago
Seriously? No one with those beliefs would actually hang out on Reddit all the time, especially not with that name.
We would like to think so, however you can't apply rational standards to fundies.
[–]ColdSnickersBar 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago
Because only humans can create fictions.
[–]pdinc 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago*
There may or may not have been an Omega, but Alpha is man's creation.
EDIT: I dont know where I read this, but for clarification -
Omega = Entity that may have created observable universe.
Alpha = Entity that behaves like the public perception of God, with involvement in daily lives.
EDITx2: Above points from Arthur C. Clarke , may have been original research on his part.
[–]IConrad 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago
Well, I don't know where you read that, but it's straight-up wrong.
Alpha == beginning Omega == end.

[–]fani 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago
whats wrong with "fani" ? Its not even pronounced as "fanny". Its pronounced sounding like "funny". And why is "fanny" bad as evident by your [SIC] ?
btw, your sarcastic logic is applauded.

Pleasure, the sites definitely got some good content. Enjoy.
[–]Dawn_of_the_deaf 5 points6 points7 points 2 years ago
I've hardly ever seen a post with so many upvotes and so few comments (177 vs 8 com.)
I guess there's not much else to say.
Brilliant.
[–]mdm2266[] 2 points3 points4 points 2 years ago
That's exactly what I was thinking. It's concise. Not much else to say!
[–]TheDentite 3 points4 points5 points 2 years ago
No, there really isn't anything more to discuss. I agree that the picture speaks for itself.
[–]OwlSinger189 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago
Yeah, there is definitely nothing else to discuss.
[–]whatispunk 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago
Nothing to see here. No further discussion necessary. Move along people.
Not one more thing anyone could say that would add to this.
[–]blackskull18 4 points5 points6 points 2 years ago

I always figured god was more of a frontal lobe thing. Could be temporal if you're hearing things, I suppose.
[–]engmusician 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago
Fantastic!
[–]offat9 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago
Shouldn't it be in the frontal lobe?
[–]dbz253 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago
actually, it would probably be closer to the prefrontal cortex.
[–]sexyspam 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago

Christian God = The Brain
God = The Heart
[–]platotld 0 points1 point2 points 2 years ago
Wow, reminds me how years ago I wrote on the whiteboard of my future parent's in laws "God is in the minds of men!". They are hard core 7th day. To thier credit nothing came of it.
[–]blufr0g -3 points-2 points-1 points 2 years ago
Is there any evidence pointing to the brain being the id? or do we just assume because it's behind our eyes and we don't know much about it? My theory is the brain is like an fm transmitter, the data is stored elsewhere. Where? I don't know.
[–]RMessmann 5 points6 points7 points 2 years ago
It would be more accurate to call that your "hypothesis". Coming up with hypotheses are fun. The brain as an FM transmitter with data stored somewhere else? Sweet. But there is no evidence that supports or suggests this. Anything can thought of, but just because it can be thought of does not make it true.
I have a hypothesis that black holes absorb matter and energy, and the "other side" of the black hole is a different universe that is about to begin. A singularity, just before the big bang, waiting to explode just as soon as the black hole has gathered enough of what it needs from the other universe.
But it is just an entertaining thought that I do not take seriously at all.
[–]blufr0g 1 point2 points3 points 2 years ago
Yes, indeed, an entertaining hypothesis. Unless I'm reading in the wrong places, I can't find any evidence about the brain to support any hypotheses aside from command and control for normal body functions
