They do that with food that is too heavy and too alive to carry away. If the eagle is lucky, the goat will become bite/snack size when falling down the cliff. Is not, it will probably break some dones, which makes it easy for the eagle to tear of a leg or something. And I though taking a chicking apart was a pain..
