False. Sharks don't lay eggs. Sharks incubate their eggs internally and have live births. This bathroom wall is filled with lies.

A quick look at wikipedia says you're right. There are other very large sharks, though, so I wouldn't rule out the possibility.

Edit: Since I'm now researching, it seems people are claiming the largest egg specimen was recovered from a whale shark, which is probably a misunderstanding of the term "laid" since the egg was just retained in the sharks' body. Oviparous sharks do produce fairly large eggs in some cases, although most of the largest sharks are ovoviviparous (at least the ones I brainstormed quickly and checked.)

It's not necessarily misinformation. Some sharks are ovoviviparous as federalmng described, but others simply lay eggs. federalmng is wrong because he/she/zhe/hir/it has claimed there are no exceptions to ovoviviparity in sharks.
