The technology for moving something as large as a human being has only advanced to the distance of about 1.5 mm. However, the energy needed to do this is enormous. It's a wonder that you didn't bring down the power grid while not noticing that you were moving back and forth a tiny distance. I've had a similar problem before. I then came to learn that you cannot make use of one such teleporter if another person is standing on top of the receiving end. Plus, the longer you stand on there, the more chance there is that you are tele-frying the person on the other end. Depending on how long you stood on top of it, there is a chance you tele-fried some poor homeless person to death on the other end, you cruel, selfish bastard!
