I don't see how that is possible at all unless it is intentional. Maybe if they were mangled into one baked mass but the even separation makes me think it wasn't actually an accident at the factory.

Pay close attention to the left side of the bottom-most pretzel. You can see a clear line where OP has broken the pretzel to weave it into the others, and then, presumably, used his saliva to moisten the ends and stick it back together.

Also if you look at the second pretzel (clockwise from the top) you can see similar breaks at the very top of the pretzel (where it crosses over and is hanging onto the first pretzel) and the very bottom.
