Yeah, I did. Here's my philosophy on reposts.

There's the saying that everything on reddit is a repost. If you go back far enough, someone has probably posted it before. So someone who has been on the site for 5 years probably browses the default subs and thinks, "God, there are nothing but reposts on this site anymore!"

But the people who have only been here a few months see the exact same default subs and think, "Wow, that's funny!" because it's the first time they've seen it. Not because they're stupid or ignorant, and they shouldn't be ashamed. It's just because they're new.

And therein lies the beauty of reddit. Those little arrows on the side are to help the userbase enforce content quality. If the community did not think this was worth their time, or if they were upset that it was a repost, or if they just ate too much cheesecake and felt bloated, they would have downvoted it and it would not have been welcomed like this. But, as you can see, the majority of people who have seen this post liked it enough to upvote it. That means that either reddit, as a whole, doesn't care enough about reposts as much as you do, or it means that there are enough new people that this isn't as much of a "repost" as you think it is because most people haven't seen it.

TL; DR: Don't deprive new users of old content just because they're new and it's old. Let the users decide what users want to see. Upvotes and downvotes do their job.
