Christmas leads to loneliness which leads to lonely people which lead to rationalizations which lead to confessions which lead to all the bears you've seen today.

Also, seeing people we care about throws into contrast all the terrible things we've done to them and others.

Single people who make Christmas comfortable with 2 $10 bottles of wine, away from home with no others escapes.

Christmas can be the happiest day, or the most depressing day. Depends on who you have to spend it with.

Wise up. Christmas gets people thinking about relationships, and love, and family, and friends, the past, the future, etc., That's not always peachy for some people. It can be a very stressful time of year. Did you know AA has 24/7 sessions for people to get support around the holidays? It's a very common time for addicts to relapse.
