actually what scares away birds is bright colors and moving objects. If you want a true and blue scarecrow attach it to something similar to a Wind Vane (with obviously a light humanoid-esque scarecrow if you will.) and attach a couple balloons to it.

They do it at vineyards (least the ones I've visited.) as well as use large/cheap nets to cover most of the harvest. They never have problems.

Any normal stupid bird will think thats just a tree. It'll probably scare stoners away though or people tripping on LSD so kudos.

I don't think OP understands where the name scarecrow came from. I very much doubt a crow would be afraid of an odd-looking tree. Then again, there are no visible crops of any kind, so I doubt a crow would really give a shit about a random dead tree in the middle of a field.

But, yeah, I wouldn't enjoy running into it at night.
