I'm going to be downvoted regardless of what I say at this point so I might as well throw this out there - self promotion is the only promotion I can get at my level. I understand that there is some sort of taboo about this sort of thing because it feels cheap, but I don't understand it. If the content is bad, it will be downvoted. It's just because I, on a whim, decided to share an (albeit lame) joke of my own with this community that I frequent that it becomes something shameful. If you don't like the joke, say so. It's understandable. Like I said in another comment - this won't make it into my act. I don't care if you don't think I'm funny, I care that you're this agitated because I make a self promotional post. I didn't try to disguise it, even. I was up front and honest about it being my own thing.

Either way this is remarkably trivial because its not even that good of a joke and you hating me for posting it isn't going to keep me from booking shows or anything. I had no need to type all of these words. Sorry I annoyed you briefly. I hope you have a great holiday.
