Wow. That is really odd, but I find myself oddly curious as to your condition. Do your nipples ever get in the way, like breasts when cooking or a limb that causes you to suffer from paresthesia? And when do you first remember their abnormal length? I imagine that this didn't happen abruptly, but if it did, then it's quite fascinating.

The neatest thing about this is that when people crack jokes about poking an eye at, you may have had first-hand experience. That is, if you don't live alone, you may have accidentally poked someone in the eye(s). Not to sound like a creeper, but has such a thing ever happened? And more importantly, have you spoken with a doctor?

Suddenly I wonder if your condition is hereditary. If you have kids, and they're born with a similar condition, I think the doctor may be more surprised than I.
