Having been to a funeral the WBC picketed, my best friend of 15 years died in Iraq, I can say that love would encourage rather than discourage. This was before a group of bikers decided to rev they're motorcycles at the funerals to drive out the hate they were spewing so each vitriol and venom fueled word was heard. Hate against hate won't work, but neither will love. The WBC are like any fundamentalists; take away cameras and attention and they will dissolve into ether and nothing. My comment earlier was a joke intended as humor, but in all seriousness ignorance and hate such as this needs to be ignored. That's not to say don't stand up to them but take away the cameras and coverage and you take their power.
