A few years go (four) I went to the Reading festival in the UK. A shit badn called "Bring Me The Horizon" opened on the Sunday, and they were standing in for Slipknot. Now, the fans were already pissed that Slipknot wern't showing (can't remember why) and then this badn comes onstage and they were shit, shit shit. So the assembled masses at the front began hurling stuff at them; apples, oranges, bananna (one of these peices of fruit struck the drums), plastic bottles, cups, and when everything was gone, woodchips.

Im no big fan of slipknot, i like a couple of their songs but wouldnt pay to see them (i was in attendance for little-known band 'metallica'). But BMTH were...aweful. It wasnt the fact the songs were crap, i wouldnt know because they sounded, physically sounded, shit. One could only hear drums and vocals, nothing else. The plain white T's played on the same day a couple of hours later and despite their non-metal flavour of music, that was a tight set. BMTH were unprepared and unprofessional, and thats why I dont like them. Because they actually sound shit.

I'm not sure who those bands are.

However, I've often been jealous of those that work security at bars and venues with live shows. I'd be requesting to work certain days just to see the shows, even if I have to spend the time watching the crowd for the kid who's lighting a joint or for the drunk fucker whose fist is lonely for someone else's nose.

Watch this video and tell me they're not garbage. Take out the horrible outfits, take out the retarded fans, take out the weak lyrics and what are you left with? Shitty, uncreative guitar lines, a bad drummer who only uses about 5 of his 15-20 drums and cymbals, autotuned vocals, and (stealing this from taylorlongboard) a bunch of Motley Crue wannabes.
