This picture is implying that guns kill people. Guns aren't living objects, therefore they don't have the ability to kill someone without an outside force pulling the trigger to fire the bullet.

I understand what you're saying, but they do give a deadly and effective outlet for unstable individuals to cause havoc. In reality, a gun used for violence, or any other weapon for that matter, is an accomplice to an act that could potentially kill or injure someone.

In Venezuela in 2010, 13.840 people died because the use of firearms.. and here, guns are banned... People start using knives instead. Just today there was an incident in China where a man stabbed 22 kids with a knife. We'd still have the same problem, only the weapon would change.

Its doubtful the weapon would just go away either, the black market would just pick up more of the slack. There are still many firearms used in countries where they are banned. Though I agree completely that it is a problem with people, not with items.

And I'm sure more people died from heart disease eating junk like Big Macs than were killed by guns too. Handgun Control Inc., and those of that ilk, use all handgun deaths, including the ones that were committed in defense. You know, home defense, police having to use deadly force, those sorts of things.

This entire argument is complete bullshit. You will have as much success banning guns as you do banning drugs, and we know there's plenty of that shit around. The only thing you do when you criminalize it is put the money in the hands of criminal organizations. You want to really give islamic extremists a hand? Ban legal manufacturing and sales of guns so you have illegal gun markets in pakistan supplying the worlds firearms and using the money to further their agenda.
