Definitely simulated, as the place was apparently never finished being built.

The official website says to "Check back after Sept 15, 2009"... I'm guessing things must have fallen through.

Yes Nanuya is the best accommodation your likely to get in the Yasawas. Octopus however is very popular among families and very touristy, if you want a more unique/Fiji experience, try something else

Well definitely go to the Yasawas if you really want to see the more remote islands. This group of islands are really great and the kind you would see in photos and such. The accommodation here however is basic and more for backpackers. If this doesn't bother you, they do some great dives at coral view resort. They also have shark dives and a great underwater cave system. If you really want to see the most of the pristine islands you really need to go to the Yasawa group. There is only one major boat operator that goes up there and that is Awesome Adventures Fiji which operates out of Denarau. Hope you have a good trip.

The image is fake, sadly. The bigger fish on the left is a a blue-striped grunt, a Caribbean reef fish. The black and white fish on the right are bannerfish, a Pacific reef fish. These two species would never be seen together.
