For sure a repost.

Fahrenheit is just as arbitrary as Celsius. It's based off of the freezing point of brine rather than water.

Kelvin is a more rational choice.

Kelvin is just as arbitrary and somewhat imprecise (obviously only in highly technical uses) as Celsius, though because the interval magnitude remains similar is still far ahead of Fahrenheit.

it'll be better when the definition is improved

Kelvin is arbitrary, but not as arbitrary as Celsius - at least it starts at absolute zero rather than at an arbitrary temperature we've decided should be zero. For general day to day use I think Celsius is a perfectly reasonable system to use.

The null point is better, yeah

I suppose with most measurements you just have to decide on something arbitrary, given it's not particularly designed.

Well yeah, the intervals between degrees are going to be arbitrary no matter what, but we can go for systems that make a little more sense I think. Kelvin is a good start.

I get that my old country likes to do things differently than the rest of the world, but I can't see why the fuck this is in r/aus.
