It's*

[–]mungd 13 points14 points ago

CDO is an acronym for collateralized debt obligation. Now you're just talking about something different altogether.

[–]Sr_Navarre 36 points37 points ago

Here we go again with the "Organized...so OCD!" crap.

[–]JudgeRetribution -1 points0 points ago

Actually unless they have the specific compulsion to alphabetize acronymes to abate their obsessions then OCPD (Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder) is the more likely diagnosis. PsychFacts!

[–]rizwan_k 100 points101 points ago

OCD is an actual disorder that people suffer from, not some "omg, i'm so OCD look at my room" bullshit.

"Obsessive-compulsive disorder is an anxiety disorder in which people have unwanted and repeated thoughts, feelings, ideas, sensations (obsessions), or behaviors that make them feel driven to do something (compulsions)."

[–]Relvnt_to_Yr_Intrsts 5 points6 points ago

In my experience people with actual OCD do NOT want to talk about it and go through great lengths to hide it

[–]DivineRobot 1 point2 points ago

So arranging things in a certain order is a wanted behavior? Why does it have to be either you have the illness or you don't have it? Why can't it be varying degrees of OCD? How severe does it have to affect your life in order to be classified as a "real" disorder?

[–]princeelkazeme 1 point2 points ago

i think the difference that is implied here is that this person is probably arranging the pens for aesthetic reasons not because they feel that if the pens aren't 100% in the right order that something really bad will happen

[–]zaiker 0 points1 point ago

Really bad as in she will freak out and kill anything stopping her from putting the pens in the right order? Oh yeah, these people are safe.

[–]captaingobble 3 points4 points ago

Right, throwaway because I think I've kept this quite well hidden.

I'm assuming you all wash your hands, because you're not animals, and I'd imagine that you do it after the usual stuff, bathroom, gardening, etc.

Imagine getting the urge to wash your hands after everything, you shake someones hand, and you have to go and wash it. If you can't immediately wash your hand then you make a fist and stuff it into your pocket, conscious that anything you touch becomes "infected" and will need to be washed too.

You get to the bathroom eventually, after touching the collar on your nice suit, so you're going to have to wash that while you're at it. And after you get to the bathroom, there's no soap. You can't turn on the tap because other people have touched themselves before touching the tap, and you'd be touching them by proxy.

Eventually you take to carrying round excessive amounts of alcohol gel, and you wash your hands fifteen times a day already (more) so your hands start looking like a dried out desert, but you use hand cream to try and hide it.

Everything you touch while you have dirty hands, you remember, and you remember things you touched after you touched that spot. I have a mental map of my house that has places in it that I won't touch, and if I ever see guests touching that spot I have to resist the urge to shout at them to stop.

Imagine it, and then be thankful you're not living it.

[–]Kulotee 10 points11 points ago

Thank you. As someone with ACTUAL OCD, these type of posts piss me off. OCD is a living nightmare for people with it, an it shouldn't be taken lightly.

[–]haavarl 7 points8 points ago

Not since the accident.

[–]gigashadowwolf -1 points0 points ago

*and

I have been diagnosed with it too actually, but I don't think I really have it. Most of my compulsions are rarely fairly weak and usually can be ignored with sufficient effort. The only real problems are that I can't leave the house or make phone calls easily without running through a long checklist to make sure I am both prepared practically and mentally. This often makes me late for things and I put off phone calls for so long that I get into trouble.

[–]i_r_witty 1 point2 points ago

That makes me cringe, my compulsions are about not being late. I constantly check the clock to make sure I am not late. I generally have to show up to class about 30 minutes early or I get really anxious.

[–]Damadawf -1 points0 points ago

Every time OCD gets mentioned someone is always quick to jump in and say how horrible the internet is when it comes to OCD. News flash, people on the internet are cunts. Everybody gets teased about something, so just ignore the stuff that "offends" you and think yourself lucky that your life isn't worse because you don't have terminal cancer or something.

[–]Kulotee -1 points0 points ago

I just want people to know that OCD isn't "everything has to be perfectly symmetrical." it's a lot worse, and really hard to deal with.

[–]Birdslapper -2 points-1 points ago

Sorry man, I don't know how I could live with myself if I had to struggle with the urge to do things I have no interest in doing. Keep fighting man

[–]ThereAreNoMoreNames 3 points4 points ago

What people are confusing it with is Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder, which is completely different. The only similarity is that it's another disorder/disease that they most likely don't have.

[–]Zomonada 1 point2 points ago

They're very similar if you look at their actions. They both may be focused on perfectionism or tidiness. What differs them is the unwanted obsessions and repulsive thoughts.

[–]danyquinn 3 points4 points ago

Well OCD doesn't have to relate to tidiness or perfectionism. I have severe OCD, and I'm super messy. All my stuff is about preventing catastrophe.

[–]nintendoinnuendo 1 point2 points ago

I suffer from OCD and am glad this is at the top, it fucking sucks man and is nothing to laugh about.

/r/OCD

[–]lmYOLOao -4 points-3 points ago

Stop the fucking circle jerk every time OCD is brought up. We get it.

"Pregnancy is a REAL thing that REAL women go through. But all these teenage girls trying to keep their boyfriends are ruining it for us REAL SUFFERERS."

[–]davidmaravilla 18 points19 points ago

Shouldn't the shirt really say... I AEHV CDO Ist eikl CDO btu all eht eelrstt aer in aaabcehillpt deorr AS EHTY DHLOSU BE

[–]flutt3r5hy 3 points4 points ago

This guy knows what's up!

[–]davidmaravilla 11 points12 points ago

I'm willing to admit that I had to sing my ABC's for almost every word of that.

[–]flutt3r5hy 1 point2 points ago

But still. A+ for effort!

[–]Aniew 11 points12 points ago

I'm sure you can tell by the comments already, but buying a gift that makes light of an actual illness that people struggle with may not be the best idea, particularly since a shirt, by it's nature is intended to be displayed. This really just opens the door for people to make judgements about how she's insensitive. If you really think this quirk of hers is worthy of buying a gift for (and it very well may be!), I'm sure you can find something like nice pencil holders that can keep her pens divided.

[–]Relvnt_to_Yr_Intrsts 2 points3 points ago

tagging you as considerate!

[–]Jumfish 2 points3 points ago

Agreed. I think because it's not a life threatening illness, people often make light of it as well. I have yet to see a shirt reading: Let's all laugh at cancer patients. Or something along those lines.

[–]FrigidMT 0 points1 point ago

Try tshirthell.com, bound to be one there.

[–]Lululovesnachos 8 points9 points ago

As someone with diagnosed OCD, I would be grateful to have whatever "OCD" makes people only slightly anal about arranging things by color.

[–]specialservices 5 points6 points ago

Am I at the fucking mall right now?

[–]Eifandil 2 points3 points ago

The "OCD" kinda looks like a baby in a diaper.

[–]Relvnt_to_Yr_Intrsts 1 point2 points ago

[–]chuhai 7 points8 points ago

Please don't. It's not funny, it's just lame.

[–]djackson969 9 points10 points ago

OMG GAIZ look at me i like to organize im so le ocd, aren't so crazy lololol!!!! But seriously i get that it is supposed to be sarcastic and and a joke, but this has gone past the point of funny and now it is just annoying how people use it to describe everyday aspects of their life that aren't strange in the least bit and are definitely not OCD. When it has trickled down in to annoying 13 year old's facebook posts it is time to stop, i think we have beaten the horse enough.

[–]flailing_otter 10 points11 points ago

Every word in the title is capitalized. twitch

[–]Packers91 -1 points0 points ago

Is There Something Wrong with That?

[–]ChuckCharles420 3 points4 points ago

Compulsive Disorder of Obsessiveness.

[–]weezergiant 6 points7 points ago

What a funny joke. I'm sure she'll have never heard it before.

[–]Muntberg 4 points5 points ago

Great, so now she will be walking around advertising a phrase that makes light of people with real, mental disorders. Not this bullshit that you're talking about.

[–]Regrssion 14 points15 points ago

OP is a faggot

[–]Toibaobao 0 points1 point ago

But... but... but... Where does she put the pink pens then?

[–]ayuan227 0 points1 point ago

They go after purple. I would only let people borrow my colored pencils and markers in elementary school if they put them back in the right place.

[–]AgentFlynn 4 points5 points ago

I have a buddy who does this with the clothes hanging in his closet.

He also folds his dirty laundry. Another friend of ours decided to see just how bad it was one day, and decided to un-tuck on of the corners of his folded dirty laundry while he was out of the room, they watched in fascination while he took every article of clothing, re-folded it and stacked it neatly in a new pile.

We felt like such assholes.

[–]reh888 2 points3 points ago

Even if it wasn't making light of a condition that many don't think is funny, this joke is old and been around long enough it's also not funny.

[–]ceebee21 1 point2 points ago

They have to be in rainbow order. It's just wrong otherwise.

[–]dskam 0 points1 point ago

Saw "Pens In" and had to immediately double take.

[–]WhiskeyHoliday -1 points0 points ago

Don't know if it's bad that the first thought in my head was disgust at the irresponsibly lax line-heights, uneven use of caps and sentence case, and lousy kerning.

Balderdash!

[–]missllil -1 points0 points ago

You should buy her some of those gel pens that have multiple colors in them.

[–]blackishdog -1 points0 points ago

Your Link Title Has Too Many Capital Letters.

[–]t-shirt-party 0 points1 point ago

Roy G. Biv

[–]PandaPoot -1 points0 points ago

I initially read this as "organizes her penis".

[–]stilettob13 0 points1 point ago

Nothing wrong woth ROYGBIV pens

[–]clownpants29 0 points1 point ago

I have that shirt! I love it.

[–]latecraigy 0 points1 point ago

I don't have OCD, but I do the same with markers. Except instead of rainbow colors, I put them in the same order as this one package of markers came in that I got for Christmas one year.

[–]Snoorks 0 points1 point ago

As somebody with OCD, I wish all I did was organize my pens.

[–]Connguy 0 points1 point ago

Seriously, why does every halfway funny t-shirt get posted and upvoted? They're all very derivative quips and one-liners that have almost always been seen before. Also the links are never to the site of the actual shirt's producer, who deserves the credit.

Can this stop being a thing?

[–]Lulabellee 0 points1 point ago

Having OCD, I feel like I'm the only one who gets annoyed when people say this. CDO just seems too weird to me and I don't like it. OCD is what it is, it's meant to be that. It shall stay that.

[–]JoeDerivative 0 points1 point ago

It should read "It's", not "Its".

[–]btirabail 0 points1 point ago

Brain combined/scrambled 'pens in.'

I sat for a second wondering how she organized her penis in order...oh.

[–]drewster321 0 points1 point ago

Clever, but old as dirt.

[–]drewster321 0 points1 point ago

OH MY GOD people calm the FUCK down. It's just a joke. I'm gay but you don't hear me crying about every time someone calls something stupid by saying "that's gay" or uses the term "fag" in a derogatory way. Sort out your priorities, open your mind, and STFU.

[–]JBFrench 0 points1 point ago

That shirt is missing a fucking apostrophe. Hacks.

[–]aussieangel86 0 points1 point ago

You say that like your roommate is weird ... I think they are quite intelligent, it makes complete sense to organise your pens (and other things for that matter) in color order according to the rainbow.

[–]brussels4breakfast 1 point2 points ago

I read that as "her penis" and thought, wut.

[–]xboxington 0 points1 point ago

No Need To Capitalize Every Word In The Title

[–]someones_dog 0 points1 point ago

The line spacing and the font sizes are all different. O_o

[–]Ghostwoif123 0 points1 point ago

Yeah because OCD = Arranging your pens -_-

[–]relevant_t-shirt 0 points1 point ago

[–]danmickla 0 points1 point ago

Just Show Him Or Her Your Post And The Capitals Will Ensure Your Death

[–]catsinmyunderpants -1 points0 points ago

I read that as in "organizez her penises".

[–]mastermyn -1 points0 points ago

...i read it as organizes her penis ( not a pretty rainbow imho )

[–]gak001 1 point2 points ago

That lack of apostrophe and the kerning would drive me nuts.

[–]shoes_of_mackerel 0 points1 point ago

My friend tried to post this as a status update but wrote "DCO". Much confusion followed.

[–]TerriRichter -1 points0 points ago

That is a awesome shirt. My clothes that are hung up in my closet are in rainbow order... how they should be.

[–]narhwalsir334 -3 points-2 points ago

Well, I'm CDO. It's the same thing but the letters are in alphabetical order. As they should be.

[–]the-troller69 -2 points-1 points ago

THERE SHOULD BE A MOTHERFUCKING FULL STOP AT THE END OF THE 'as they should be' GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH.

[–]danmickla 0 points1 point ago

But it's ok that there's no apostrophe in its? Gah!

[–]the-troller69 0 points1 point ago

Pfft, they call them solves CDO, pathetic.

[–]Sluggedbuckshot -2 points-1 points ago

Just saying, im wearing that shirt at this moment. I got it from roadkill T-shirts
