Why would we complain about America's long weekend? The only reason I can think of is longer wait times at the border, but we do that to ourselves in order to take advantage of the cheaper than usual goods.

Yeah I don't understand how our long weekend effects anyone in Canada.

They use it as an excuse to be able to tell you that they're Canadian.

As an Australian, I am very poorly informed about American long weekends.
Anyone care to enlighten me?

Thanksgiving is when us American's celebrate the marriage of gluttony and family...typically, 1 to 3 turkies are baked, fried, etc. along with 7 or 8 customary side dishes (stuffing, cranberry sauce, yams, etc.) and then eat...and eat...and eat...and watch American football. It's a 'long weekend' because Thanksgiving is always on a Thursday, so people ususally skip out of work early on Wednesday (which happens to be the biggest party night of the year next to New Years), usually have off from work on Friday, and then come back on Monday. Does this help?

As a Canadian, I apologize for the above post. We are very easy going with our "special needs" citizens. Also, I would like to ask the OP if he usually internets with an unplugged monitor? Furthermore, I just had a 5 day weekend two weeks ago in lieu of Rememberance day, so I ain't even mad! Sorry.

Either this is fake, or this man is incredibly strong, them old CRT monitors be heavy man, and he flings it with great ease.
