I think you are wrong on both accounts. If I'm not totally mistaken it's perfectly fine to use "dies" in this sentence. It just comes accross as a bit outdated as it's not that commonly used (anymore).

And (if I'm correct in the assumption that you speak about the "e" at the end of the word "meine") "meine" is totally correct, as "Wassermelone" is feminine. "Die Wassermelone". "Mein" would be wrong, as it gets used for the neuter (like "Das Haus") or masculine (like "Der Hammer") form.

For me all of the German used is grammatically correct, maybe capitalize the last "Meine"

              I showed it to a friend of mine whose first language isn't English and had to translate for her in a German accent for her to get it. Just because its a cognate doesn't mean people will understand it.

              Comedy is usually derived from the unexpected or the least expected answer. I'm not sure why I found it funny. I think it might be because 1)the cats face looks funny 2)why does he have a watermelon 3)why is he speaking German. Its probably the fact that the whole thing is a farce that makes it entirely unexpected and funny.

                              3 months since last popularly received posting? Acceptable time lapse to me. All those ones in between were not well voted or commented.

                              Now three months have passed, and quite a lot of new people have stumbled aboard reddit since then.

                              ...And I think this is a trend we're seeing a lot of in these karmadecay posts; it takes round about 3 months before a repost will generally do well. (exceptions, obviously apply, and cross posting excluded.) Obviously we all feel differently, but I think reposting karmadecay content is just as much about upvote farming as many of you think reposts are.

                                    i just don't understand who takes these pictures. the image of someone ruffling up the fur of a little kitten in a garden and placing its little paw on a tiny watermelon before setting up the lights and taking a picture. is it for the internet? what was the original intended purpose of this photo? not angry! just perplexed
