    Tigers are normally fearful of humans in the wild. They won't hesitate to kill you, but they'd rather prey upon deer given the option. In Nepal, people live in close proximity to tigers and forage in the same places. If 4-legged prey is about, the tigers leave people alone.

    Having lived and worked near polar bears in the wild, I will tell you flat out that as far as they are concerned - you are food. They will charge you from hundreds of meters (yards) away knowing damn well they can outrun you. They won't just do that every once in a while. If you're not in a vehicle and they see you - you're getting charged.

    This photographer guy I knew via a mildly popular polar bear website i ran years ago, well, he used to go on the buggy tours in Churchill quite a lot to take photos of the bears...

    One time he told me about this dude who argued with the tour operators that his kid wanted to ride one (a bear) or go out and play with them and hug them cos they were so cute. He was insisting he ought to be allowed to let his kid out of the buggy to go play with the bears!

    He apparently couldn't accept the fact they were genuinely dangerous and insisted that since he had paid good money to come out on the buggy tour they ought to let him and his kid do as he damn well pleased.

        FUn fact: polar bears are one of the only animal that has to be killed On sight after escaping captivity, because it is impossible to read it's expressionless face, so Danger is virtually undetectable, this bear is just as likely to be cuddling the camera, as it is to be trying to maul the camera man.

        Many people may think that bear is so cute, however, does anyone think that is respond to a problem of global warming? Ice is melting in north pole, so many polar bear have less land to live. Meanwhile, less ice also means less food to capture, gobal warming really let the animal facing the crisis of death. I think the photographer wants to warm us the problem of global warming!

        Stood about a foot away from one of these (behind a cage obviously) in the back area of their enclosure at Sea World on the Gold Coast. Best $60 I spent last year. Amazing animals.
