I was golfing at Congressional once and secret service agents came up to my group and asked if the President could play through. We of course said yes and they get up to the tees while we wait. Barack hits a pretty decent drive and the other two guys in his group totally shank theirs. The President looks over to us and says, "That's why I bring them." They laugh and walk away. Pretty cool moment.

[–]cant_read_adamnthing 157 points158 points ago

Hehe, I chuckle at the thought of you guys saying no to the secret service guys.

[–]CircumcisedSpine 216 points217 points ago

"Eagle denied play through. Repeat, Eagle denied play through. Beer cart is clear. Advise."

[–]realpsych22 26 points27 points ago

Except his code name is supposedly "Renegade"

[–]Fawful 21 points22 points ago

I would like a list of presidential codenames now.

[–]WOWTHATISCOOL 218 points219 points ago

Who are all these kids in the oval office and why can't I be them

[–]SucksAtFormatting 204 points205 points ago

Because you're 25 years old.

[–]secret_hitman 102 points103 points ago

I'm only 24... Can I go?

[–]FajitaofTreason 355 points356 points ago

NOT WITH THAT USERNAME ಠ_ಠ

[–]hahagato 48 points49 points ago

If you took out the extra T in yours you'd probably get in though. I mean, who can deny the fajita of reason?!

[–]Jackstick 27 points28 points ago

Probably the children of various VIPs. Congressmen, senators, CEOs, etc.

[–]daemon14 30 points31 points ago

The kid touching Obama's hair is the son of a White House staffer who was leaving his job.

[–]BubbaWut 206 points207 points ago

Is he left handed? Also, if he keeps holding babies above his face like that, he's gonna end up swallowing some puke at some point...

[–]Zaev 160 points161 points ago

Yep. A disproportionately large number of US Presidents have been left-handed, actually.

[–]SnarkyHedgehog 77 points78 points ago

I knew there was something sinister about him.

[–]0x05 51 points52 points ago

As someone who's taken Latin:

[–]UrbanSunset 9 points10 points ago

As someone who studies organic chemistry, I also understand this reference.

[–]withateethuh 111 points112 points ago

So I have a chance?

[–]Depops_au 45 points46 points ago

That depends. Are you American?

[–]gingivere0 193 points194 points ago

That didn't stop Obama /s

[–]tellmebiologyfacts 16 points17 points ago

I thought:

1)He did eventually end up showing his birth certificate

and that

2) Trump is now on about Obama's high school grades, something about hurricane Superstorm Sandy and giving the President extra time or something?

[–]athulajp 57 points58 points ago

1) Trump is a retard

2) Trump is still a retard

That's all we need

[–]Nisas 28 points29 points ago

Trump has continually denied my demands that he let me put my balls on his forehead.

WHAT DOES HE HAVE TO HIDE?

[–]geft 14 points15 points ago

Very smart of you to put that /s tag. I forgot once and Reddit downvoted me to oblivion.

[–]wcgaming 29 points30 points ago

Hold the fucking phone....Obama is 51?

[–]I_Wont_Draw_That 85 points86 points ago

Yeah. Being president ages you pretty quickly. He was only 36 when he took office.

[–]wcgaming 38 points39 points ago

I'm...I'm.. so confused right now...I'm going to bed.

[–]ComebackShane 2 points3 points ago

I wonder if he subbed to /r/southpaws when he did his AMA.

[–]ConansBeard 2 points3 points ago

Since 1929.......Cant make that claim for all the U.S. presidents

[–]fman5k 42 points43 points ago

Did not know Springsteen and DeNiro were a couple. Good for them.

[–]Liquid_Milk 752 points753 points ago

The amount of love he shares with his wife is so fucking obvious in these photos, it melts my 31 year old man heart.

[–]shadmere 170 points171 points ago

In most of these he's being a people. He's totally being the president in there one.

[–]Fiery-Heathen 167 points168 points ago

you can tell the hardcore pictures because they are all black and white

[–]ANDpandy 26 points27 points ago

Needs more grungy film grain

[–]spazmodic- 41 points42 points ago

[–]DonnyDreamliner 52 points53 points ago

Coming this summer.... THE HUNT FOR BIN LADEN II

[–]spazmodic- 100 points101 points ago

(picture above) "What do you mean, 'clones'?"

[–]Fiery-Heathen 3 points4 points ago

Clones? i thought you said Drones...

[–]randomsnark 7 points8 points ago

They actually tried to take that one in color, but the raw force of his presidentialness knocked it into monochrome.

[–]BarbaFulva 58 points59 points ago

He's probably just mad Domino's wouldn't deliver to the limo.

[–]MonkeyStealsPeach 45 points46 points ago

"The fuck you mean you're out of pepperoni?"

"I'm the PRESIDENT!"

[–]karanj 13 points14 points ago

"Butcher a damn pig!"

[–]dorksquad 12 points13 points ago

Hard as fuck in that pic.

[–]DukeOfGeek 22 points23 points ago

No kidding, he looks like the next thing he is going to say is "Well then, you better call Snake"

[–]Drakkanrider 351 points352 points ago

As I was looking at this album, I was thinking how great it is that we have a president who is this affectionate with his wife. It really makes him seem like a real person. He always came across to me as really genuine, and I think that won him a lot of moderate votes during this election; I'm sure a lot of it is scripted, but if he is THAT good at acting all the time, he could be making a lot more money in Hollywood.

[–]Harmonie 182 points183 points ago

I love that he has a fairly young family. He's not older and out of touch with people- he empathizes with his elders, but he also looks out for the younger populations and women's rights, since he has two young daughters.

EDIT: Empathize, not emphasize. Thanks imitationcrabmeat.

[–]JefeRocha 93 points94 points ago

Sasha and Malia were adorable when he got elected

Its hard to believe in just 4 years they look so much older, kids grow fast

[–]jaycrew 113 points114 points ago

In a couple years they're gonna be really attractive and men the whole country over are gonna feel weird.

[–]JefeRocha 175 points176 points ago

Michelle Obama is the most beautiful first lady in a while

they have good genes

[–]PhonyUsername 92 points93 points ago

She hasn't had much competition.

[–]nvrwastetree 30 points31 points ago

Obama acts like a regular bro all day, every day. Most laid back chill president evar.

[–]doot_doot 28 points29 points ago

Definitely not laid back or chill. Read about what he's like day to day. Down to earth, but NOT laid back or chill. Man is driven on his fucking mission.

Edit: Apparently I struck a nerve with the Republicans and Libertarians of the group. You don't have to agree with him but if you think he's trying to hurt the country or other countries then you're caught up in a lot of absurd rhetoric.

[–]bucknakid14 11 points12 points ago

Where can I read about that?

[–]captain150 7 points8 points ago

Laura Bush wasn't bad.

[–]Fawful 33 points34 points ago

She slammed her clam on stupid though

[–]basegate 10 points11 points ago

Laura Bush KILLED a guy.

[–]tenehemia 3 points4 points ago

Dude. Dolley Madison was a stone fox.

[–]imitationcrabmeat 9 points10 points ago

empathizes*

sorry, just for your knowledge!

[–]wu-wei 4 points5 points ago

I'm going to try to remember that in my more cynical moments.

[–]yungun 70 points71 points ago

i feel the same way about the amount of bro fists.

[–]The_Bravinator 29 points30 points ago

terrorist fist bumps all over the place in there.

[–]Saiing 67 points68 points ago

FOX NEWS EXCLUSIVE: New evidence emerges on internet that president messes around all day and plays basketball while the economy crashes around him.

[–]TysGirlLola 6 points7 points ago

The saddest thing is that was actually on Fox News.

[–]Saiing 3 points4 points ago

You can't even make shit up any more.

[–]Salanderfan 68 points69 points ago

The way he looks at her is as if they're the only two people in the room. There's so much love and affection there, it'd be hard to fake.

[–]HugeDouche 51 points52 points ago

Seriously. If I could ever find love remotely comparable, I'd consider it a life well lived

[–]black19 52 points53 points ago

You won't find it. You're a huge douche.

[–]HairyPurpleApe 32 points33 points ago

It makes me melt too. I think my favorite one is when he gave her his jacket and they are sharing a moment even though others are there. I want that in a husband someday.

[–]Tastybread 813 points814 points ago

The only president I have ever wanted to meet. Wish I knew how.

[–]jsellout 386 points387 points ago

Just go to the white house, dummy.

[–]Nisas 14 points15 points ago

Go home Shaq, you're drunk.

[–]Populoner 212 points213 points ago

For your health!

[–]theflying6969 27 points28 points ago

[–]leap_barb 22 points23 points ago

[–]Wargall 11 points12 points ago

Yeah, just walk right in, they'll be okay with that

[–]ArtisticAquaMan 21 points22 points ago

I live pretty close to the white house, your telling me if I go and tell them them I'm here to see Obama they'll let me in?!

[–]InvaderDJ 93 points94 points ago

Make sure you're wearing a bulky jacket and look a little nervous, that will show you're genuine and they'll let you right in.

[–]groovemonkey 26 points27 points ago

I think a good gift for the President would be a chocolate revolver. and since he is so busy, you'd probably have to run up to him real quick and give it to him

[–]Shanemaximo 5 points6 points ago

Pull it out and scream so you're sure to get his attention.

[–]stuff_and_crap 46 points47 points ago

Be sure to wear the hood up on your hoodie too, in case it's a chilly day.

[–]Southtown85 11 points12 points ago

Also, ensure you're wearing large aviator glasses, in case it's bright and sunny. Don't want to let that UV radiation ruin your vision.

[–]swag1hunnid 12 points13 points ago

don't forget your rifle though

[–]jsellout 6 points7 points ago

Yes.

[–]CrimsonKevlar 83 points84 points ago

I got to talk to Bill Clinton about dinosaurs while he was a sitting president. You'll get your chance too!

[–]worthadamn17 47 points48 points ago

I think I can speak for quite a few people when I ask you to expand on this story.

[–]CrimsonKevlar 54 points55 points ago

I was at the Field Museum in Chicago when they were unveiling the Sue T-rex exhibit. About an hour into the event, secret service shows up and locks the place down. In walks Clinton, flanked by security and white house photographers. He shook some hands, took some pictures, look at the bones. When he stopped by me, he asked if I liked the exhibit, and we ended up discussing various dinosaurs for a few minutes. He was then whisked away into the Chicago night.

Ninja edit I Found a picture of Clinton at the event.

[–]Thegoatwhisperer69 44 points45 points ago

I got to meet Clinton when I randomly stayed at the hotel he was staying at. We rolled up and there were security everywhere. We waited up made late and finally he came. He shook my hand and then the secret service nodded at me and I got to go into the gift shop he was in, squeezing through the photograpghers. He shook my hand and told me to tie my shoe that was untied. And I got a pic with him by the white house photographer. They had such good hot chocoalte there. Had it as a fucking meal, nothing else. I was like 12.

[–]worthadamn17 27 points28 points ago

Sounds awesome and all, but what about the dinosaurs?

[–]Iknowthatpig 32 points33 points ago

Check the username. This is a different guy.

[–]LastHoboStanding 34 points35 points ago

No it's the same guy, that was just his bestiality alt that he forgot to sign out of.

[–]komali_2 13 points14 points ago

BUT WHAT. ABOUT. THE DINOSAURS.

[–]flfolks 20 points21 points ago

Pay a lot of money to attend a fundraising dinner with him as the headliner.

[–]REWK 4 points5 points ago

He was raised right. I'm proud to call him my president.

[–]Jinqs 69 points70 points ago

This set makes being the president look like a whole bunch of drinking beer and kissing babies.

[–]alexthe_ 22 points23 points ago

"Listen, I'm a politician which means I'm a cheat and a liar, and when I'm not kissing babies I'm stealing their lollipops."

If you don't know this quote...

[–]akpak 9 points10 points ago

Hunt for Red October!

[–]all_the_names_gone 25 points26 points ago

We need to shurface the shubmarine comrade

[–]flangler 87 points88 points ago

Really amazing how close we came to this.

[–]Dwight22 44 points45 points ago

I lol'd so hard. It looks like he's approaching a coiled snake or something.

[–]officerwiggum 36 points37 points ago

Some of these pictures remind me of those commercials advertising a drug, and the commercial just shows like 10 middle-aged men doing outdoor activities together.

[–]oposssom 35 points36 points ago

If anyone has anymore albums of this of other former presidents or world leaders in general, please post them, I would love to see more.

[–]CCNeverender 389 points390 points ago

I dont really support Obama, but he seems like a really cool dude

[–]cariboumustard 282 points283 points ago

I do support Obama .. but 4-12 years ago, had I seen similar images of W (however endearing), I wouldn't have been able to say the same. So upvotes for being a bigger person than me.

[–]DeathToPennies 55 points56 points ago

That's a strong picture.

No. Strong isn't the right word. Sad?

I don't know. It's a good picture.

[–]Wilmore 50 points51 points ago

Powerful?

[–]DeathToPennies 14 points15 points ago

That's synonymous with strong. It's not that I forgot the word, it's that I can't pinpoint how it makes me feel. Thanks, though!

[–]Jack_M 16 points17 points ago

poignant?

[–]hooplah 5 points6 points ago

Just to think too hard about this, I wouldn't necessarily say strong is synonymous with powerful. They kind of have different connotations, apart from the fact that "strong photo" could also be referring to the technical strength of the photo, as opposed to the "power" of the emotions it conjures.

[–]Randomacts 33 points34 points ago

kid looks scared.

[–]ComebackShane 117 points118 points ago

Likely because the kid has HIV. Bush has done a lot of work to combat HIV infection in Africa since leaving office.

[–]awesomemanftw 60 points61 points ago

He did while in office too.

[–]Cam8895 23 points24 points ago

I've heard Bush has probably done the most out of recent presidents to help combat HIV/AIDS in Africa and doesn't get the credit he deserves.

[–]flipapeno 25 points26 points ago

Presidents generally don't get the credits they deserve, IMO. We like to find someone to blame failures on and the President is the most visible face so it's easiest to pin them on him. It takes a few years to even track all the real good things they do.

[–]brucemanhero 165 points166 points ago

I had a college professor who is a semi-big deal political cartoonist. He traveled around to get a good idea of what Bush Jr. was like.

Now this teacher is one of those crazy liberals. Not slightly leaning to the left, but this kind of guy who will link an anti-GOP article all the time on his twitter account and help show how evil they are, multiple times a day. He gets really riled up! Like, "Whoa..Okay sir, breathe a bit..Calm down..."

Anyway, he said to us in class one day, "And just as much as I wanted to hear horrible stories about Bush, everyone loved him. I heard nothing about how much of a fun, charming, kind person he was. A good number of them didn't think he was suitable for president, but they liked him as a person nevertheless."

It was interesting to learn this, I thought.

[–]greenroom628 106 points107 points ago

which really makes sense. nowadays, with the 24-hour news cycle, you can't get to the presidency without being charismatic. i mean, i think one of the reasons that romney was a weaker candidate than obama was that romney had the charisma of a carrot. as much as i disagreed with w.bush's policies, looking back at him, he didn't seem like that bad of a dude. just a little clueless and way over his head.

[–]ChickendantZZZ 30 points31 points ago

"Charisma of a carrot" totally made my day :) Thanks greenroom.

[–]BeneBreadstick 3 points4 points ago

The Dalai Lama himself said one of his favorite people is President Bush. I don't care for the man's policies and I'm a die hard democrat but apparently he's a pretty nice guy.

http://piersmorgan.blogs.cnn.com/2012/04/24/his-holiness-the-dalai-lama-on-george-w-bush-as-a-human-being-i-love-him/

[–]cooley945 72 points73 points ago

i hated W as a president, but id totally have a beer with the guy, he seems like a real bro.

[–]CommentsOnOccasion 60 points61 points ago

I would love to smoke a J and then hide from Dick Cheney with him

[–]dacap00 24 points25 points ago

Except that he'd be drinking O'Douls

[–]Dylan_the_Villain 5 points6 points ago

I agree. I'd totally sit down and have a beer with Romn- no, wait...

[–]randomsnark 3 points4 points ago

You could have a chocolate milk with Romney. Seriously, that's his drink of choice. That's at least a little bit awesome. I'd have a drink with Romney just because I like chocolate milk.

[–]sammythemc 3 points4 points ago

Wow, chocolate is more than I would've given him credit for.

[–]CookieDoughCooter 9 points10 points ago

I'd like to see those pictures...

I upvoted the topic and I strongly dislike Obama. Regardless of who is in office, you need to respect the position he holds (and vice versa).

Respect ≠ support.

[–]ProdigalRedditor 57 points58 points ago

Bro-fisting that janitor. I'm a republican, but I voted for Obama.

[–]Alaskagirlskickass 16 points17 points ago

With the janitors glove ON too!

[–]Raneados 62 points63 points ago

The weighing picture is what gets me the most. It's just so completely human and playful more than any other picture I've ever seen of a president. I love it so much. More than any posed picture with any amount of smiles and more that any picture of him and his wife and kids. Even so much that it defeats any picture with service men or other kids or almost anything. It's the one picture I can always relate to because it tells me that even though we disagree on some issues and I'll never get why he does some of the things he does, he's a scamp.

He's an imp and a childish humor-based man who loves to poke.

And so am I.

His other pictures show his obvious love of his wife and his kids and the people he governs, but the weighing picture is just so pure and joyful and gleeful and fun that I can't help but love it.

[–]The_Bravinator 20 points21 points ago

Same here. I love the idea of a president playing little practical jokes on people. I mean, someone got pranked by the freaking president of the US. That's hilarious.

He also seems genuinely good with all those kids. I know the "pics with kids" thing is a really common photo op, but he just seems really at ease around them. So many people who rise to the highest levels of business or politics aren't able to make much time for family and thus seem a bit more stiff and awkward with kids, but given the stories you hear about him having dinner with his kids as often as he can, I think what you're seeing there is the natural comfort of a father who's had plenty of practice entertaining little ones. :)

[–]vandejo4 113 points114 points ago

Even though I disagree with a lot of his political opinions and views, I actually think he means well and is a good guy. It would be great to meet him.

[–]albinobluesheep 72 points73 points ago

I had the same opinion of Bush, wouldn't have minded grabing a beer with him any day of the week (as long as I got to drink any beer I wanted).

Not Romney though.

Even if he drank beer I wouldn't have wanted to get a beer with him

[–]teganthevegan 30 points31 points ago

I'd get a beer with Romney. I'd also "accidentally" spill said beer on Romney.

[–]CommentsOnOccasion 18 points19 points ago

slip him a roofie

[–]input_cords 13 points14 points ago

Hold the phone guys, smells like bravery in here

[–]albinobluesheep 7 points8 points ago

Guilty Brave as charged.

[–]IAmNotAPerson6 23 points24 points ago

Pictures like these are a perfect time to bring something up. Politicians are all people. People, just like you and me. Human beings with real feelings, aspirations, hopes, fears, etc. We have our own opinions and beliefs, they have their own opinions and beliefs. We all want to do what we think is good/best. It doesn't matter what party they belong to. Democrat, Republican (yes, Republican, reddit), Green, Libertarian, Socialist, Constitution, or whatever else. I would be amazed if there actually were politicians who did not think what they were doing is good. The results of their actions may not line up with their intentions all their time, or they might not line up with your beliefs, or whatever. But I'm sure they are just normal people who want to do what they think is best.

Nobody is the villain of their own story.

[–]Nmilne23 78 points79 points ago

Basketball picture....Dat ass....

[–]albinobluesheep 14 points15 points ago

Tagged as "Dat presidential ass"

[–]ScarletRhi 7 points8 points ago

I know. I actually said that out loud when I saw that picture.

[–]SG_Dave 81 points82 points ago

Hate to be that guy...but. Image 65, hot redhead just above grandma.

[–]mapsrfun 53 points54 points ago

Dude. I'll back you up. I noticed her to. I didn't even need to go back to image 65 to know exactly what you were talking about.

[–]Tearagion 10 points11 points ago

You have my support as well, I didn't even notice the grandma the first time.

[–]thepiiman 23 points24 points ago

You mean the one who looks all sad or about to cry?

[–]lesbianoralien 34 points35 points ago

Forgot first image in gallery is 0, not 1, so typed in 65 and ended up here. >.<

[–]-Tommy 13 points14 points ago

Hot redhead? You can hardly see her!

[–]Freak2121 12 points13 points ago

Larger Image

Hot redhead indeed.

[–]turtleshellmagic 7 points8 points ago

Chick here, I noticed her too. Pretty gal.

[–]NoOnesFan 37 points38 points ago

The little girl on the presidential desk looking up at him gave me a smile.

[–]hardlyRomanticore 110 points111 points ago

Tell that to Clinton.

[–]ehrmagerd_bernbelern 13 points14 points ago

You win, sir.

[–]BlueJayAggie 10 points11 points ago

Since when is the Oval Office a day care center?

Somewhat kidding, but I had no idea there were that many kids in & out of a place like that.

[–]Veozeak 29 points30 points ago

I really want to fist bump the president.

[–]nooneimportant555 63 points64 points ago

A lot of presidents were like this. It's really hard to win the presidency if you lack the whole being a human part. Big reason why Romney lost. I mean, just go read stories about old Presidents and find pictures. Bush Sr and Junior were both hilarious guys, and could make fun of themselves. I like Obama, and it's nice to see these pictures, but it's annoying to me that people act like he's the only human president or the only president who did this sort of thing. Don't be such a partisan bafoon.

[–]Irrepressible87 52 points53 points ago

I think it's because Romney came off as so stiff and inhuman that people like seeing Obama being human and squishy.

[–]qrtr_inch_seam 57 points58 points ago

I want to hug him. Seriously, he's hot, you know you do, too.

[–]ChellaBella 69 points70 points ago

He's crazy hot. But Michelle would have to have died and an appropriate amount of time would have to pass before I'd make a move, out of respect. Not that I've thought about it at all.

[–]diabeatles 32 points33 points ago

Whenever I see pictures of him like this I think to myself, this is like greatest husband and life-mate ever porn. But I would never, ever be "the other woman" to Michelle, I respect her as much as I do Barack, even if that means quelling my lust for that man.

[–]Roombafollower 20 points21 points ago

I have the same feeling about Portia de Rossi, I love her but I love her and Ellen's relationship too much to even imagine ruining it.

[–]L7_weenie 13 points14 points ago

I'm a straight female but Lordy is portia smoking.

[–]random_chick 2 points3 points ago

I am in love with her. Would bat for the other team in a heartbeat.

[–]ChellaBella 10 points11 points ago

Glad I'm not alone! Somehow their solid marriage makes him hotter, but you could never try anything because of it.

[–]diabeatles 8 points9 points ago

Especially because his marriage is so damned perfect (at least from the outside) and that makes him so much more desirable, but if he was unfaithful that would detract from his attractiveness so much.

[–]mnfats 47 points48 points ago

Does he even lift.

[–]albinobluesheep 69 points70 points ago

If he doesn't, Michelle does. Good God that woman has arms.

[–]dorksquad 43 points44 points ago

Bro'bama's too busy lurkin' on Reddit while Michelle is deadliftin 250.

[–]LINCKING 62 points63 points ago

As a Canadian, god damn I love your president. Harper could learn a thing or two.

[–]Jackstick 5 points6 points ago

What is wrong with Harper? I know absolutely nothing about Canadian politics. Who is this Harper guy and what's he doing to makes Canadians hate him so much?

[–]TheHonStephenHarper 6 points7 points ago

Canadian Prime Minister. A lot of people hate him because of the F-35 jet purchase and because of how they straight-up lied about some things and were very misleading about others (I'm for the purchase because we need them, against how secretive and misleading he was).

People accuse him of having a secret agenda about making gay marriage and abortion illegal (both of which are completely unfounded and these people should always be ignored). The abortion thing almost holds weight because the Conservative Party of Canada does have some social conservatives, however they are generally not vocal.

He generally supports Israel.

He has made some very controversial cuts (he did some across-the-board funding cuts recently, which caused some beloved science projects to lose funding such as the ELA).

He got rid of the long-form census, which people are pretty split on.

He hasn't legalized marijuana yet.

There have been a few mandatory minimum sentences instated for non-violent crimes.

In this term, he's pushed through two Omnibus bills, which are seen rather negatively. One of them was pushed through after a 24ish hour debate in which every amendment proposed by the opposition was shot down.

He recently passed a FIPA (Foreign Investment Protection Agreement) with China that stirred up a pot of controversy, with many complaints of how secretive it was and how there was no discussion/debate in the House of Commons regarding it (they conveniently forget to mention that FIPAs are generally not debated in the House, and they have not complained about any of the other ones he has passed recently).

While a lot of the criticisms of you see of him are valid, they're often taken much too far (on Reddit and pretty much any other site) by the partisan crowd (think of the Canadian version of /r/politics). I've also probably forgotten a few things that people hate him for, but a lot of them are non-issues and only made into issues because Harper is literally Hitler.

As a side note, I'll add that if Harper took similar stances to Obama and passed the same bills (I'm looking at you, NDAA 2012), people over in r/Canada would be having a riot.

[–]el_notario 3 points4 points ago

good summary, but one note: FIPA w/ China has not been approved yet.

[–]yep45 4 points5 points ago

I guess so, since apparently being a world leader has devolved to the level of American Idol

[–]TheHonStephenHarper 4 points5 points ago

I hope he learns how to take a more aggressive military stance internationally, continue the war on drugs, and signs a bill allowing him to indefinitely detain Canadian citizens.

[–]CervantesX 33 points34 points ago

As a Canadian, I'm hoping that once his term is up he comes up north and heads the NDP party and becomes PM.

[–]TheHonStephenHarper 14 points15 points ago

I, too, hope we have a Prime Minister that signs a bill that allows him to detain any Canadian citizen indefinitely!

Honestly, if Harper passed half the shit Obama did you guys would be rioting.

[–]LINCKING 26 points27 points ago

i just came

[–]malignant_humor 7 points8 points ago

I literally thought I was the only one. I'm not one to quickly call out reposts, but damn this really did seem a little ridiculous.

[–]eyeofdelphi 25 points26 points ago

I didn't see it then. I'm kinda glad someone reposted it. I always miss the good shit.

[–]Populoner 24 points25 points ago

Thanks for referencing the first one, glad it showed up today too though, I didn't catch it when it was first up

[–]drilkmops[S] 178 points179 points ago

Sadly, I didn't even see it on there 4 days ago. Found it on a friends facebook and was like, "i'm sure he got this from reddit, but..".

Don't even care. Man crush is showing.

[–]mjmedstarved 273 points274 points ago

Some people aren't on the interwebs all day every day....

I thank you for posting.

[–]CommentsOnOccasion 34 points35 points ago

I do spend most of my time here. Like 3-5 hours per day (college student) and this album must've slipped by me. Haven't seen it

[–]mddelisle 15 points16 points ago

Yeah, thanks for posting again and making a valid point: Not on here 24/7.

Awesome post.

[–]mswar11 11 points12 points ago

I wonder what he said in pic #63.

[–]meatloafing 9 points10 points ago

I can almost hear him saying "That constitutes a fist bump."

[–]salad10203 16 points17 points ago

Yea, if someone was ever to detain me indefinitely without a trial, thats my guy : )

[–]OriginalZombie 1 point2 points ago

It just amazes me how smiling and happy he appears. Even if all that is is appearance, it's amazing. I am a nurse and I work 12 hours shifts and when things get stressful for me, I turn into a short tempered asshole. I snarl at telemetry techs, patient care assistants and even other nurses when they're bothering me about something I perceive as less important than what I'm dealing with at the moment. And I'm not unique. We're all like that where I work and no one takes it personally and it's fine. But I'm only there 12 hours 3 days a week and then that's it. My job is stressful but it's not all the time. The president has to be on 24/7. I can't imagine how exhausting and stressful that position must be. I mean maybe he yells at people or get's snappy and the media is just not there when it happens or is kept quiet some how when it does, but I feel like if I were in his position, there would be no keeping it quiet because of the raging bitch I'd become. All the presidents are incredible to stay sane through their presidency, thank god for people better than me.

[–]albinobluesheep 9 points10 points ago

For anyone seeking pictures like this on a regular basis

The Whitehouse Flickr Feed

[–]TW00TW00T 6 points7 points ago

TIL the president is left handed.

[–]Rash_Bandicoot 5 points6 points ago

wow, he really is a people better than I do.

[–]derpinita 15 points16 points ago

I love Obama as much as the next guy, but...Cult of Personality much?

[–]blkirishbastard727 7 points8 points ago

Yeah... It gets a bit creepy doesn't it? And this is coming from a bleeding heart liberal.

[–]Bane_Meatball 11 points12 points ago

Nice album, but the whole time I was wondering "Who the hell are these people that they get to do these things with the President????" Specifically referring to the two kids looking out the window of Air Force One and the group of guys playing basketball with him at the White House.

[–]Rswany 3 points4 points ago

As far as basketball, he plays with members of his staff.

His Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, used to play basketball for Harvard and can straight-up ball

Exhibit B

[–]geargirl 12 points13 points ago

Awww!!! He makes me want to be a people too!!

[–]MageKraze 0 points1 point ago

I think this is the first time I've seen him wearing shorts.
