I dont care if i get downvoted, this is one reason why I'm pro-choice. This poor baby probably suffered so much after birth. This just makes me so sad.

[–]BobaFetty 8 points9 points ago

If I had to guess, I'd say this resulted in a still birth. But I agree that this awful.

[–]MrKrazybones 5 points6 points ago

I dont think it can breathe

[–]bbristowe 5 points6 points ago

I don't think it can live.

[–]all_the_names_gone -1 points0 points ago

So, if it's just missing a hole to breathe through, i take it this kid could live with a quick tracheotomy.

As i assume all docs know how to do this, i do and am a physics teacher, shouldn't they atleast offer the parents the choice?

[–]Airob 9 points10 points ago

That just saddens me, it´s just... so horrible and sad.

[–]cereous_business 2 points3 points ago

I shouldn't have laughed so hard... now I feel bad.

[–]WolfKingAdam 6 points7 points ago

Gene? Nonono, his father is Poisedon.

[–]gingahh 4 points5 points ago

Oh man, this made me tear up. Poor baby...

[–]Pyro1327 2 points3 points ago

One eyed, one horned, flying purple people eater

[–]goodpeopleskills 2 points3 points ago

Is the disorder fatal? If not, how does someone live with this?

[–]SoggyCheez 6 points7 points ago

I'm guessing the baby's hours are numbered. There are probably also some other major organ defects to go along with that. When there's one defect, there's probably another one. So sad, but I guess it's better than being someone who would have to live like this.

[–]tuckmyjunksofast 3 points4 points ago

There are severe frontal lobe malformations of the brain and the esophagus is not properly formed if at all. This deformity is quite terminal.

[–]cinebox 3 points4 points ago

Not the mention the lack of a mouth or nose. Even if it had a working brain and heart, it couldn't breath.

[–]tuckmyjunksofast 1 point2 points ago

that too

[–]ranchan82 1 point2 points ago

Cyclopia is uniformly incompatible with life unfortunately. Some animals/humans will be born live but live only for a few hours at most. Fetal development is one the most complex things our bodies can do.

[–]mrwhoohoohoo 0 points1 point ago

And he's blind.

[–]bigman131 0 points1 point ago

where the fuck is his mouth?

[–]Beast_and_the_harlot 4 points5 points ago

He doesn't have one.

[–]s_paperd 0 points1 point ago

Or a nose to speak of (not sure if that is its nose at the top), which makes breathing impossible. Needless to say, probably stillborn or died quickly after birth

[–]Beast_and_the_harlot 0 points1 point ago

The proboscis is the nose. People with this disorder usually die before birth or shortly after, because there is rarely any orophis to breathe from. I think the longest anyone with this has ever lived with this is two years.

[–]Beast_and_the_harlot 1 point2 points ago

I couldn't find any info on this. Link anyone?

[–]golgobot 0 points1 point ago

Any more info on this?

[–]godoffunny 1 point2 points ago

Pablo Picasso

[–]PointyOintment 1 point2 points ago

This is the worst cyclopia photo I've ever seen. Somehow, though, it still manages to be less disturbing than the one in this Wikipedia article.

[–]InkBubble 0 points1 point ago

What is this disorder called?

[–]wortime 0 points1 point ago

This kills the baby

[–]JimmyJamesincorp -1 points0 points ago

Why are this people born?

[–]Darbinator 0 points1 point ago

Is, is this real or possible?!
