I was opening it in GIMP. If it were animated, it would show up as multiple layers.

I have tested this statement in 3 ways.

  1. I took a picture of my computer screen while I was in fact not looking at it. The image that appeared on my phone was still in English.

  2. I separated myself from the screen, holding a piece of blank, white 8x10 paper in front of the screen. As the light from the image projected through the piece of paper, I was able to observe that the picture was in fact, still in English.

  3. I stood behind my computer screen, holding a mirror in my hand and held it at such a level that the mirror would reflect anything that appeared on the screen. Again, I was able to observe that the sign was still in English and not in Spanish as stated.

From my experiment, I was able to conclude that the picture is in fact lying and does not in fact turn to Spanish when not being looked at.

  1. You're just seeing the picture, not the actual sign. Also, the sign treats the camera like an eye.
