That's why it's powered by a nuclear reactor and not solar panels and batteries: they wanted instruments on it that used a lot of power, so they had to make it a big one.

I like how they show these pics and the people work with these are on reddit and I wonder if the mars thing could be faked since we have all these "prototypes" for research. I am surprissed we arnt seeing all the tinfoil people yelling its fake. but i do find some of the tinfoil things plausabe but i am not a one of them.
