    A little known fact is that the salute that is associated with Hitler was very common throughout the world at the time. There are pictures of many famous Americans doing it in the 30's.

        I hate this kind of post because it's karma whoring in a multitude of ways:

        1. The OP has done nothing of value by posting this, but claims that he has. It's not that the post is worthless, but that the message is stupid.
        2. In order to make himself feel important, OP took the actions from another man out of context and posting them as a "motivational" message which is really just bullshit.
        3. "Be this man" in this context could mean "go against authority and risk death" or in other words "conforming is never worth it" even though there are several cases where falling in line has a better tradeoff than the punishment.

        Overall, it's just a bullshit post that holds very little substance.

        The context of this picture is really important. This could be during World War II and this man could be standing up for his personal beliefs against the evils of Hitler, or this could be during the time of Hitler's early rule, where he unified Germany after the disastrous World War I reparations Germany had to pay, where the people needed a champion to get out of a time when money was literally worth more as fire wood, and this guy is just mad that his politician lost to Hitler.
