The colors on your girl shampoo chart do not match the colors in the girl shampoo key. Shame on you. This is unforgivable.

[–]Taliesintroll 186 points187 points ago

It's worse, I saw this on Facebook as a 9-gag link two days ago.

[–]ElGoddamnDorado 37 points38 points ago

Lots of stuff on reddit has been tagged with 9gag watermarks and posted there. It's kind of their schtick.

[–]angg56 46 points47 points ago

2 days > 2 hours.

[–]dualOWLS 22 points23 points ago

I remember a post a while ago that showed that 9gag stole reddit OC then posted it on 9gag afterwards while manipulating the 9gag time they posted it to make it seem they came up with it before reddit.

If that didn't make sense...

Steal reddit->post to 9gag->change post time to make it seem like it's 9gag oc-> ...

[–]Jakerop 17 points18 points ago

still, if he SAW it on facebook two days ago, that means it's at least that old, and that is older than this post

[–]matphoto 15 points16 points ago

I'm pretty sure it's much older than that.

[–]noddwyd 13 points14 points ago

MUCH, MUCH OLDER

[–]Irrelevant_muffins 19 points20 points ago

As a girl I can also say that the pie chart itself is way off.

[–]RutrohRihno 34 points35 points ago

Female speaking - The girl chart is all wrong.

Smell is definitely 95% of shampoo choice. Brand, quality, price, and what it does to your hair is the other very important 5%.

[–]jadeycakes 6 points7 points ago

Girl with curly frizz-prone hair speaking - I wish that were true for me :( Smell is near the bottom of my checklist.

[–]Nick_Newk 4 points5 points ago

I actually thought I was colorblind. That's a relief.

[–]kabukistar 26 points27 points ago

Price.

[–]martiiin 10 points11 points ago

Wrong.

Quantity devided by price.

[–]jordanneff 9 points10 points ago

That's just adjusted price, which is still price. You're both right, you were just more specific.

[–]1CUpboat 235 points236 points ago

AS a man, there are exactly two types of shampoo: Head and Shoulders, and not Head and Shoulders.

[–]dzagama 166 points167 points ago

Boycott shampoo, demand real poo!

[–]slefob 10 points11 points ago

Thank you for the laugh

[–]stipulation 14 points15 points ago

I'll stop caring about my shampoo when I stop snowing on things.

[–]bumpfirestock 11 points12 points ago

This. But more accurately for me, Head and Shoulders when it's cold (dry scalp sucks) and Suave in the warm months. It's less than a dollar a bottle, often I use it as body wash :)

[–]Cyber-6 4 points5 points ago

My girly locks love Suave shampoo and conditioner. There are entire forums filled with women with long hair who sing that cheapo brand's praises.

[–]go_go_bannananas 11 points12 points ago

AND WHAT THE FUCK IS CONDITIONER ?!?!?!

[–]447u 7 points8 points ago

It makes the hair be better somehow? Fuck if I know.

[–]B0SSARU 3 points4 points ago

It makes my hair not poofy, I just use a 3 in 1(shampoo, conditioner and body wash) and then H&s.

[–]cbs5090 2 points3 points ago

GET OUT OF MY THREAD, PUSSY!!!

[–]lurker6412 8 points9 points ago

Never wear black without the blue, Selsun Blue!

[–]jawzman 6 points7 points ago

Word of warning, when I was about 13 I found a bottle of Selsun Blue under the sink in my bathroom. My dad must have left it there for a few years before. I started using it and a couple months later my sweat started smelling like urine, and it was very strong. Just a word of warning, if it separates when you pour it out dont use it. Great for psoriasis though.

[–]ardothewan 16 points17 points ago

Head and shoulders is honestly the worst shampoo. It causes the same problem that it cures forcing you to be on an endless cycle of using it. My dandruff and itchiness has plummeted since switching no a sulfate free shampoo and banishing head and shoulders. I'm a guy btw

[–]papa-jones 12 points13 points ago

Works just fine for me, no flakes with H&S, if I use almost any other brand they come back.

[–]kensomniac 3 points4 points ago

That's what he was saying though. It supposedly perpetuates a cycle of use.

[–]papa-jones 2 points3 points ago

Not really, he's saying that it causes the same problem it cures, dandruff. If I use H&S for a year straight, I don't have any dandruff. I switch to any other dandruff fighting shampoo, and I get flakes. So whatever ardothewan is describing is not happening for me, and I'll bet it doesn't happen with most satisfied H&S customers either. Otherwise they wouldn't be satisfied. I'm sure some people just don't react well to it, maybe to the sulfates as they mentioned, and that's fine, there are obviously other types of anti-dandruff shampoos out there.

[–]red321red321 29 points30 points ago

As a man, I prefer Knees and Toes to Head and Shoulders.

[–]Fiascopia 66 points67 points ago

I mix them 2:1, Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes, Knees and Toes.

[–]FlyingOnion 6 points7 points ago

red321 sets 'em up, you knock 'em down.

[–]Avien 4 points5 points ago

More guys gotta learn about Dr. Bronner's. It's more expensive than Head and Shoulders but it works so much better, at least for me.

I haven't had any issues with dry skin, flaky scalp since I switched over.

But hey, to each his own.

[–]flutterarity 5 points6 points ago

I like reading the back of the bottle in the shower and wondering what the heck that guy was tripping on.

[–]Thaver 6 points7 points ago

Am I the only one that doesn't get dandriff?!

[–]Danno1850 104 points105 points ago

GET IT!!! CUZ GIRLS ARE COMPLICATED AND GUYS DON'T CARE!!!

[–]Alexandur 13 points14 points ago

Indeed. I will literally never tire of jokes concerning the differences between male and female hygiene.

[–]Tetha 5 points6 points ago

Don't we need to pull something funny here, like girls being all complicated about hygiene and guys being like "lolz, shower, I'm fine"? I think we do, I'm gonna get some dice with semi-funny labels on them to get this going.

[–]mattattaxx 79 points80 points ago

I'm a guy, and I choose based on brand, packaging, brand identity and scent.

[–]fancytalk 55 points56 points ago

I'm a girl and I choose based on whatever type my boyfriend has placed in the shower.

[–]Crimstone 38 points39 points ago

I choose based on whatever type your boyfriend has placed in the shower too. You guys really need to stock the fridge more often.

[–]_Linear 9 points10 points ago

You mean there are exceptions to this chart?!

[–]topdawg312 7 points8 points ago

you're a shampoo marketers wet dream!

[–]Chesner 6 points7 points ago

soapy dream?

[–]Gredenis 9 points10 points ago

Without the tears.

[–]nikitakaganovich 2 points3 points ago

yeah, me too but also price. I don't care how it smells and how much I like the brand I'm not paying more then 3 dollars. I'm just not.

[–]ZuFFuLuZ 24 points25 points ago

Guy here, I use natural shampoo and conditioner without silicons or sulfates and my hair looks fabulous. I also have really long hair. Deal with it.

[–]Skishkitteh 15 points16 points ago

I always really like picking out shampoo with my SO because he picks out the ones that smell the most like candy for us to use. He's really good at it

[–]mtd14 8 points9 points ago

Hey, I have higher expectations than it just saying shampoo.

It has to say Men's Shampoo, or at least not Women's Shampoo.

[–]therealpaulyd 12 points13 points ago

As a male with long hair, I take the time to look. The wrong shampoo will leave my hair flat and it is dweebish

[–]skinnymode 58 points59 points ago

Hooray, gender roles!

[–]buck_mcqueen 21 points22 points ago

This is a pretty dismissive comparison and I'm not into the implication that women's interests are vapid and shallow in comparison to men's.

[–]Yep_its_A 21 points22 points ago

As a male I go the extra mile as long as it says Soap it works for my hair and body!

Source: I buy body wash becuase that is soap for my hair too!

[–]voxoxo 21 points22 points ago

To be honest, that's actually not a good idea. Real soap cleans too much, it will remove all the whatever-its-called coating on your hair, making them have high friction and transforming your head in a tangly mess. Unless you have super short hair or not very efficient soap.

[–]IZ3820 15 points16 points ago

I think the word you're looking for is natural oils.

[–]KarmaAndLies 12 points13 points ago

I call it jizz. But whatever Mr. Posh.

[–]Arx0s 5 points6 points ago

Either you have really short hair, or your hair is a warzone from all of that body wash. You should really just get actual shampoo.

[–]natureruler 2 points3 points ago

I do the opposite, I use the lather from my shampoo to wash my whole body.

[–]rileyk 2 points3 points ago

It's all detergent. Do yrself a favor and get some shampoo (even the cheap stuff) and some actual conditioner, your life will be much better.

[–]Aquagoat 2 points3 points ago

I agree. Now here is my rant:

One problem I have with man brands is it's hard to find a good conditioner. For some fucking reason these brands sell Shampoo, and Shampoo + Conditioner. But no solo conditioner, what the fuck. I hate 2 in 1. That shit does not leave my hair silky smooth. And I like buying shampoo, and a conditioner, from the same brand, or the same line. It makes it feel like this company has a strategy for my hair, and I'm trusting them. Mixing and matching doesn't feel right, even if it's as effective. Sadly I have to mix and match often, as I like I said, some brands aren't offering me shampoo and conditioner.

[–]ElGoddamnDorado 11 points12 points ago

I don't bother with "for men" brands. I pick the shampoo and conditioner that works well and smells good. Don't care what gender it's marketed for, that's all background noise to me.

[–]tswpoker1 21 points22 points ago

Instead of (it says shampoo) it should say (is the least expensive brand)

[–]Houndie 11 points12 points ago

I at least check to see if it says "Shampoo and Conditioner". You only forget to check that once...

[–]natureruler 4 points5 points ago

I agree, the graph should be split 50/50 with one half being least expensive brand, the other half being it says shampoo.

[–]SpaceManAndy 94 points95 points ago

Sooo, men on Reddit complain about how they can't get girls and also talk about how they don't take the time to look good. Everything is suddenly making much more sense.

[–]LarrySDonald 41 points42 points ago

It's really more of a short v long hair thing than a male v female. Way back when I had short hair, any shampoo would do pretty much. If it's super dry, sure, anti-dandruff is needed but otherwise.. there isn't that much you can do either way. If it's really short, like 1/8-1/4 inch, even moreso - good shampoo would be whatever you use on your arm hair. Conditioner would be amazingly pointless.

With long hair (despite still having a penis) the game is different. It tangles, it dries, it oils up.. Sure, women might spend slightly more time on maintenance but really, you can't just wash it in whatever and hope it'll brush/comb out because it's not going to. Long hair doesn't even have to be that long before it hits (girls with "short hair" usually still have longer hair then an average guy) and it's time to start shopping around a bit and paying attention to wtf said hair does. It doesn't need to be elaborate and soon enough you'll find something that doesn't do too much either way and you can keep it stable there until something changes.

Oh, and everything that says "for men"? Assume that means "we didn't really try, because you know fuck-all about it anyway and you're too scared to ask your female friends what standard you should be expecting". Just stick with the female-marketed brands and stay toward the less gay scents (unless you dig smelling like vanilla orchids) or unscented.

[–]Caramel_Chew_Chew 22 points23 points ago

If wanting to smell like vanilla orchids is gay, then just hand me a gay application form.

[–]ikma 88 points89 points ago

personally, i go with the shampoo that makes my neckbeard the softest.

nothing's worse than a scratchy neckbeard.

[–]Defender 21 points22 points ago

It's like having pubes…on your neck!

[–]PandaBree 6 points7 points ago

That's where you fail. I can't believe you're using the same shampoo you use for your hair to wash your neckbeard. They're on different places of the body and different textures, so clearly they need to be different products.

[–]CloudDrone 9 points10 points ago

Because there are two people on Reddit. Men on Reddit, and women on Reddit.

Men on Reddit are lonely neckbeards, and women on Reddit don't exist.

[–]kingbot 2 points3 points ago

It can take quite a while for someone to find the right shampoo for your specific hair.

[–]lospinas 4 points5 points ago

As a man, my shampoo is also my body wash. And face wash. And exfoliater. And moisturizer. And conditioner. And if need be, it can be lube. Worst of all, I dont use a washcloth. Hands. Natures washcloth.

[–]Zero_Gravity416 2 points3 points ago

Eating lunch and currently listening to 3 black girls discuss this exact topic next to me. They're talking about all year different brands and special chemicals or some shit. Might as well be in a foreign language

[–]chris_bro_chill 3 points4 points ago

[–]JohanGrimm 3 points4 points ago

Pshh.

Pantene Pro-V bitches.

[–]vakarute 3 points4 points ago

The only time I have ever had dandruff is when I used shampoo. If I just use a bar of soap I never have a problem.

I don't know if it's legit but I have heard people say that the foaming agents "sodium lauryl/lauryth sulfate" are very drying. In any case my head doesn't itch now and always did with dryness from shampoo.

[–]Kayy- 3 points4 points ago

As a man, I actually care about my hair and know more about shampoo and what to look for in its ingredients than I should.

:(

[–]Serendipities 5 points6 points ago

than I should

there's no should here! care away! everyone loves a guy with fabulous hair!

[–]hippopotacat 5 points6 points ago

anything that is anti dandruff works for me.

[–]Wardy4705 8 points9 points ago

Or just anything shampooey looking with For Men on it!

[–]ikma 12 points13 points ago

i get all confused when it doesn't say For Men on it.

[–]guntfuddler 2 points3 points ago

For me, it is 50% it says "shampoo", and 50% for its dandruff eliminating properties.

[–]420wasabisnappin 2 points3 points ago

Woman here, I don't shampoo.

[–]physicalabstract 2 points3 points ago

My ex used to pay more attention to shampoo than I did.

He purchased the fancy teatree stuff and had favorite brands of shampoo and everything, I used dollar store shampoo.

Since then I have moved on to the suave keratin treatment shampoo. It is relatively inexpensive and makes my frizzy hair smoother.

[–]Fellow51 2 points3 points ago

Not entirely accurate, It must say shampoo as well as being on sale.

[–]Mackinstyle 3 points4 points ago

I don't even use shampoo. Though my hair is short.

Always reminds me of Carolla's line, "Wouldn't it just be the dickest prank by God to have some substance that is absolutely critical to the well being of humans, and it doesn't exist for tens of thousands of years until some shampoo company invents it?"

It's not that shampoo, conditioner, facial things, body wash, lotion, etc. are all unnecessary, but you really don't need them as much as some people think. You just need to wash regularly and have a basic soap that helps get the dirt off. If you're not doing a dirty job, you probably just need a regular rinse for sweat and dead skin.

[–]ionataan -1 points0 points ago

and it says for men, if it has anything with menthol in it would be a bouns, and if the recipient is blue... done deal

[–]kiklion 1 point2 points ago

As a male, I just cut all the hair and don't use anything.

[–]gwillyn 0 points1 point ago

I'm female and choose my shampoo based on price and previous experience. If it hasn't previously made my hair squeak like wet Styrofoam against a window, it's OK.

[–]fuelvolts 0 points1 point ago

Hell, I just use whatever is on the wall on the shower at the gym. I don't know what brand it is, but it says Shampoo/Body Wash. Good enough for me!

[–]EricThePooh 0 points1 point ago

I've gone the no-poo route. I haven't used shampoo (unless my hair was really dirty) for about 3 months and it feels healthier than ever. It's not greasy, it feels soft, and it saves money!

[–][deleted] ago

[deleted]

[–]iamsofired 1 point2 points ago

Price 100% for me.

[–]MysteriousChimp 0 points1 point ago

I just use whatever my GF buys for me. I haven't gone shopping for shampoo or deodorant in years because she just brings that stuff home for me.

[–]Sutekhy 1 point2 points ago

Best Man Shampoo: Mane and Tail horse Shampoo, fuckin huge ass bottle 2.99.

[–]Your_Favorite_Poster 0 points1 point ago

Men also be actin' like zombies in the mall.

[–]Jewstein 0 points1 point ago

Soap. It's all soap.

[–]theoneandonlypeter 0 points1 point ago

Not true. I'm a guy and I refuse to use the 2 in 1 shampoo + conditioner bottles. That stuff is whack.

[–]wrennybird 0 points1 point ago

This makes it seem so easy... What about when you get conditioner by mistake? My hair was so soft but so greasy...

[–]Always_Upvotes_Cats 0 points1 point ago

Sometimes I fuck it up and get conditioner by mistake.

[–]caulfieldkid 0 points1 point ago

The smell portion needs to be way bigger.

[–]WhatPSA 0 points1 point ago

For me its price followed by scent and nothing else matters. If its 88 cents and some crap brand but still smells good I'm buying that shit.

[–]imshane14 0 points1 point ago

I chose mine because my girlfriend says it smells nice.

[–]BornInARolledUpRug 0 points1 point ago

'Is it soap?' is my question.

[–]CommanderFeep 0 points1 point ago

Sometimes it doesn't even have to say shampoo. Body wash works.

[–]venividivixi 1 point2 points ago

HAHA men are stupid.

[–]you_wanker 0 points1 point ago

I tend to look at what the shampoo claims to offer, perhaps the brand and then of course the price. The whole caveman attitude toward male grooming is pretty tiresome to be honest.

[–]Zenyatoo 0 points1 point ago

actually hey now. As a man I sometimes actively avoid A. the shampoo with the weird bits in it and B. any mans shampoo that reminds me of cinnamon

[–]IZ3820 1 point2 points ago

I'm a guy, and I choose my shampoo based on trial and effect. I've found that Head & Shoulders is basically lotion for your scalp. Try it if you haven't.

[–]Arx0s 1 point2 points ago

It irks me when I see that my roommates use off-brand 15-in-1 shampoo/body wash/conditioner/shaving cream/wart remover crap. Am I the only guy that cares about wtf I put in my hair?

[–]TitaniumShovel 0 points1 point ago

This is true, and I still fuck it up. Suave packages their shampoo and body wash in similar-shaped containers. I just look for the shape now. I used body wash as shampoo for about a week until my girlfriend pointed it out to me. Still didn't care, it works fine.

[–]lonesome_god 1 point2 points ago

I'm a guy. I choose shampoo based upon whether it says 'anti-dandruff' or not on it somewhere, so my pie graph would look 50% regular shampoo, 50% anti-dandruff shampoo. I'm curious to know what percentage of me is vagina based upon that fact.

[–]gamfreak 1 point2 points ago

this is untrue

[–]excelcior 0 points1 point ago

Head & Shoulders and not Head & Shoulders are the only brands of shampoo that I know

[–]respectfulasshole 0 points1 point ago

not entirely true. sadly (for my age), I need to look for hair thickening shampoo. pretty sure it has no impact on preventing hair thinning but i'll pay the premium for even the off chance it works.

[–]dingoperson 1 point2 points ago

I always have a crazy hard time finding shampoo "For normal hair"

[–]lickachiken 1 point2 points ago

i'm a male and i like the minty shampoo that makes my scalp tingle. unfortunately it's usually more expensive

[–]yeastinfectionary 2 points3 points ago

Well, I have more and longer hair than the typical guy. My dad has really long hair and he chooses his shampoos carefully. Also, women are more often and more harshly judged on the quality of their hair, so they feel compelled to find better quality shampoo.

[–]raja_of_rage02 1 point2 points ago

women, they choose shampoo like this... but men, they choose shampoo like this

[–]rapscal_2002 0 points1 point ago

HAR HAR HAR MEN DON'T UNDERSTAND WOMEN-Y THINGS LIKE PERSONAL HYGIENE LOL GOOD ONE OP

[–]insaneacorn 1 point2 points ago

My choice is pretty simple - what's on sale.

[–]c7hu1hu 1 point2 points ago

Incorrect. A big part of my decision is based on whether I think I can get the bottle open without a crowbar.

Which rules out that fruit shit in the green bottle.

[–]ReggieJ 0 points1 point ago

The increasing number of obnoxious commercials for personal grooming products aimed at men seems to make a lie out of this chart.

[–]TheBlackUnicorn 0 points1 point ago

Nah there's a much better metric, is it less than $1.

[–]hIGH_aND_mIGHTY 0 points1 point ago

I haven't used shampoo in almost a year.

[–]slobmobbob 1 point2 points ago

Water is my shampoo.

[–]TrustTheTrees 0 points1 point ago

As a male with longer hair... Dove is the shit.

[–]SikhGamer 2 points3 points ago

False. The length of your hair determines what hair care products you buy. As my hair got longer I chose a separate shampoo and conditioner from Lush.

Before I used to be a Head and Shoulders whore (short hair). Now that I'm back to short hair, I've still kept up my long hair washing routine (let's face it Lush products ROCK).

And yes, I'm well aware I sound like a women. But I don't care, because my hair is FABULOUS.

[–]miradosamurai 0 points1 point ago

not true(for guys) i make sure my shampoo smells ok, because one time i bought shampoo randomly and it smelled like fucking ONIONS.

[–]cantstoptouchingit 0 points1 point ago

If I can't get a specific type of shampoo, I won't wash my hair.

[–]Gredenis 0 points1 point ago

I use Head & Shoulders because it even told me where to apply it to.

[–]mathsquirrel 0 points1 point ago

Female here and.. wrong.

[–]damajed_goods 1 point2 points ago

As a guy with very naturally dry skin I am fucking serious about what products I use to clean my body.

[–]Serendipities 1 point2 points ago

Well, for me it would just be a circle labeled "what it smells like".

[–]FFFaux 0 points1 point ago

Entirely untrue, my brother and I choose our shampoo entirely based off the smell. Once or twice we accidentally bought body wash i think.

[–]grubtubs 0 points1 point ago

Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Lavender Mint Shampoo and Conditioner.

My room mate introduced them to me a few months back, I will never turn to any other kind of shampoo.

Mint on the scalp feels amazing.

[–]thehungjury51 1 point2 points ago

Boycott sham poo. Demand real poo!

[–]fritzywiggins 1 point2 points ago

Left out coupons.

[–]LucanDesmond 1 point2 points ago

I'd also argue that we would also take low cost into account. Still fairly accurate though

[–]Fooza 0 points1 point ago

On most of my wife's bottles "shampo" is the least important word on them so I end up looking at 5 different bottles to figure out which one is actualy shampoo. Also the bottles and types never seem to stay teh same for long. Feels like I am playing russian roulete with my hair.

[–]BoricuaGabe 0 points1 point ago

I go for scent and if it gets rid of dandruff.

[–]jessicatron 1 point2 points ago

The whole chart would be yellow for me, with a sliver of "isn't herbal essences".

[–]danhendricks -1 points0 points ago

LOL SEXISM IS FUNNY

[–]Dunmor 0 points1 point ago

I must be a girl then..

[–]TheLoneWander101 0 points1 point ago

not true sulfate free over here

[–]zombierror 0 points1 point ago

Gonna be the crazy guy over and say fuck all that, use hemp soap, it's better for your hair and your scalp will love you :)

[–]Labeled90 0 points1 point ago

My best friend goes off of smell only, and every time she needs a new one she gets a new scent. I Get my shampoo by what ever isn't too girly XD

[–]TheFreeLoader614 0 points1 point ago

If it says Axe is my rule.

[–]sasa3202 0 points1 point ago

nicee

[–]_supernovasky_ 0 points1 point ago

Am I the only one that uses my girlfriend's shampoo? Shit, girl shampoo rocks. She doesn't use the fragrant kind, just some high quality stuff that I can't even fathom me ever picking out on my own, leaves my hair feeling super silky soft.

[–]scrotumranger 0 points1 point ago

I wash my hair with shower gel.

[–]firebadmattgood 0 points1 point ago

WOMEN BE SHOPPIN' AM I RIGHT FELLAS?

[–]MSDolloff27 0 points1 point ago

Whichever is the best bang for the buck....In more ways than one.

[–]namer98 0 points1 point ago

HURR DURR men and women are different, get over it.

[–]gamerguyal 1 point2 points ago

You forgot price. We also judge by price, namely which one is the cheapest.

[–]rwhite2366 0 points1 point ago

don't lie, some of us have even used dish soap when we ran out but were to lazy to go to the store just for shampoo

[–]DrCathyGale 0 points1 point ago

Though for me, replace "popularity" with "doesn't make be break out into hives." I'm allergic to certain scents, and the ingredients on the back of the bottle only ever say, rather unhelpfully, "perfume." Well, which TYPE of mothafucking perfume?

[–]poo_22 0 points1 point ago

I frequently just use the bar of soap.

[–]invincible_spleen 0 points1 point ago

And what's the deal with airline food?

[–]SnackPlissken 1 point2 points ago

Suave hair+body wash because I'm too lazy for multiple lotions but I know I need something that is at least made for hair.

I also don't use conditioner because I don't like how thin and straight it makes my hair look.

[–]Grakch 0 points1 point ago

I haven't used shampoo or body wash in over a year. Hair is healthier than it was before and I never have an issue with body odor either. Just been using a clean wash cloth. Still use deodorant though

[–]lispera8 0 points1 point ago

As a female i buy whats cheap

[–]crazyex 0 points1 point ago

I've just used bar soap for over a decade. Screw shampoo it's all just different soap.

Oh, and sometimes Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap to make my scalp feel cool.

[–]bstampl1 0 points1 point ago

As a man, my ideal shampoo is also conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, mouth wash, shaving cream, and antiperspirant

Invent that, and you'll have customers for life

[–]Ravenessa 0 points1 point ago

Price. If that shit's on sale, I'm buying it.

[–]Wonka_Vision 0 points1 point ago

heh heh heh bitches amirite guys.

[–]waterh20water 0 points1 point ago

As a man.. I need head and shoulders two in one dandruff optimally. Otherwise I could care less

[–]trilobitemk7 0 points1 point ago

I can't agree with this, where is the men's shampoo pie chart piece that says:"this is the one I used last time".

Why would anyone pick a new one, if the old one was good enough.

(note: i'm lazy so I got a 3 for 1 deal: shampoo, shower, shave)

[–]happy_now_bitch 0 points1 point ago

I just grab the one that says '3 in 1' and assume it's covering all my bases.

[–]Fuzzytigercat 0 points1 point ago

I just use whatever my girlfriend has in the shower

[–]DirtPile 0 points1 point ago

Sham poo? I want real poo.

[–]IAmThePat 1 point2 points ago

I pick the one that says its also bodywash. Nothing like cutting down on the number of bottles sitting around the shower.

[–]FindingIt 0 points1 point ago

As a dude, I choose paraben free shampoo as to avoid influxes in estrogen levels. Nothin' funny about that shit. I prefer my balls remain manly.

[–]Xuhate 0 points1 point ago

I'm a boy. I look for something that prevents dandruff AND smells good. That's two things. Chart's wrong.

[–]SimonDirks 0 points1 point ago

Unless you're a guy with long hair.

[–]Mogknight23 0 points1 point ago

Unless it smells like bacon, then that is 99.9% of what men would choose shampoo on.

[–]FreudianSlip-n-Slide 0 points1 point ago

A man who doesn't smell his shampoo before buying it doesn't deserve hair.

[–]jscoppe 0 points1 point ago

I think this is a good place to mention that Suave 3-in-1 has changed my life: http://i.imgur.com/dHuY6.jpg

Lather up in hair, rub lathered hands everywhere, done. Smells distinctively not girly, as well.

[–]TalkingBackAgain 0 points1 point ago

Reddit, how thou knowest me!

[–]neftobak 0 points1 point ago

I don't want to sound hateful or anything, but what does the gay community have to say about this?

[–]Nerzugal 0 points1 point ago

As a guy with long, curly hair: It matters.

[–]KarateKyleKatarn 0 points1 point ago

I began using my wife's shampoo the other day and, holy fuck the difference is astounding, not only does it smell better, but it just makes my hair easier to manage and it feels better. This is coming from a all time head and shoulders user, I barely knew other shampoo didn't smell like shit and burn your eyes.

[–]theturban 0 points1 point ago

As an orthodox Sikh male in his 20s, I care about which shampoo I buy.

[–]epheterson 0 points1 point ago

Color also factors in for me. The bottle must be green.

[–]Marzyx 0 points1 point ago

As a man, I use Tresemme and I'm damn sure enjoying having my hair feel good. It never feels right when I use combined shampoo+conditioner and men dont get enough choice in that department.

[–]Roach55 0 points1 point ago

...and it's on sale. FTFY

[–]mikehart526 0 points1 point ago

Mine must say 3 in 1 so it can wash and condition my hair and also be used as body wash. I can take a 5 minute shower and be completely clean by pouring some on my head and start rubbing it in from head to crotch

[–]Thaver 0 points1 point ago

I make my own. A little bit of comet and bleach does a hair good.

[–]bmacc 0 points1 point ago

Please don't let graphjam become a thing again

[–]Color_blinded 1 point2 points ago

for the men, you forgot quantity (read as volume, I'm not buying multiple bottles, but I will buy the gallon bottle if there was one). And you forgot price. The cheaper the better (and generally ties in with volume).
