it's a mexican artist, if I remember correctly. The dog is a real dog, which he purchased from the owner after it died. The rest is elaborated photography and photoshop work. Don't remember the guy's name, but yeah it's fake allright.

Even if this is fake it's still amazingly fucked up. This might actually be the first thing on here I've truly thought was fucked up. Idk what it is exactly - I'd have to think about it more than I want to - but this is somehow on a different level.

if you think thats fucked up...there was a performance art installation in which some asshole tied a dog to a post with a sign saying don't feed...no one did and it died after a week in agony

That was the point, to highlight the fact that the people did not feed the dog. The artist goal was to question who is really terrible ? People following a little sing and letting a dog die or him tying the dog down.

The dog could have been saved, all that was needed is somebody to feed him.

That exhibition was a hoax. It was created by a shock artist named Guillermo Vargas to draw attention to the issue of starving dogs and controversial art. He was the first person to sign his own petition.
