The group mentality should never be questioned.

Which is exactly the response that was predicted if ObamaCare was upheld.

ObamaCare punishes businesses which employ more than 50 employees full-time by requiring them to purchase expensive health insurance plans that many businesses simply cannot afford (from Democrat Party donors, no less.)

So, of course, businesses will stop doing this, since they're being PUNISHED for having more than 50 full-time employees.

They're responding exactly as was predicted:

  • They're laying off people to get under 50 employees to avoid the punitive taxes now associated with growing your business and providing jobs.

  • They're cutting hours and eliminating full-time work to avoid the punitive taxes now associated with providing full-time employment to people.

  • The people being laid off and having their hours cut are now subject to $2,000 a year fines for not having health insurance.

These outcomes are neither unexpected, nor undesired. They were the goal of this legislation.

Obama and the Democrats don't WANT you to be able to find a full-time job. They want you on food stamps and he wants you too poor to afford a phone, so that you have to get an ObamaPhone and thus, be beholden to the Dear Leader.

This legislation accomplishes that mission.

It punishes employers who give employees full-time jobs, and it punishes employers who attempt to grow their businesses beyond 50 employees.

The power to tax is the power to destroy.

Obama knows this.

[–]BigWiggly1 19 points20 points ago

I got mad when you started saying the democrats don't want you to have full time jobs. But you still got the upvote because you helped me see the other side of the arguement.

[–]LeonardTimber 2 points3 points ago

I appreciated the change of perspective because I felt like I was learning something, but then I read the phrase 'ObamaPhone [...] be beholden to the Dear Leader' and realized that he was being an idiot. Therefore I downvoted him, so that people wont take him seriously.

[–]BigWiggly1 -2 points-1 points ago

I dont take him seriously. He only got my upvote in hopes that more people will realize that 1) there is two valid sides to the argument 2) they'll also realize that he's a republican who has no idea what he's talking about after he's made is first point

[–]clint_taurus 1 point2 points ago

If Democrats WANTED you to have a full-time job, they'd PUNISH employers who only provide part-time jobs.

Instead, they PUNISH employers who provide full-time jobs.

How is this not obvious to you?

We don't want people to smoke .. so we TAX them if they do so.

We don't want people to offer full-time jobs ... so we TAX them if they do so.

[–]BigWiggly1 -1 points0 points ago

The government charges housing tax. Better panic because they don't want people owning houses now. Most states charge sales/services tax. Shit, guess they want us to stop being consumers too.

[–]theBMB 9 points10 points ago

So close to making a decent point and creating a legitimate argument against an accepted legislation. Then you just have to throw in some conspiratorial bullshit just to invalidate yourself. This is why no one likes radical conservatives or radicals of any kind.

[–]the1grimace 4 points5 points ago

A very similar argument could be made for implementing a minimum wage.

[–]mynameisnotjonas 2 points3 points ago

You can accuse President Obama's economic policies as being ineffective, but to say that he and his party want higher unemployment is a bizarre conjecture.

[–]Datsun44 32 points33 points ago

Sir, you are the grand hero of reddit. I agree with you and am glad there is another republican on reddit.

[–]2Weird2Live2Rare2Die 1 point2 points ago

Too bad you guys didn't let him do the single-payer method he wanted, huh? Then he wouldn't have to have tried to make the moribund employer-provided healthcare model actually help people. I guess that's the grand new Republican strategy in action; block the nigpresident at every turn and then pillory him over the half-measures he's forced to take instead. Stay classy, GOP.

[–]Jigoogly 0 points1 point ago

not to mention hes a successful white business man who worked hard for what he got.

[–]taint-misbehavin 2 points3 points ago

I just hate him because his pizza is shitty

[–]ohgodusername 2 points3 points ago

By the time I figure out why we hate one group, Reddits moved onto the next group and the cycle starts all over again.

[–]darya521 2 points3 points ago

Reddit hates him because he admitted that he will pretty much find any loophole to avoid dealing with Obamacare.

[–]beastgamer9136 5 points6 points ago

Because a lot of people who use the default subreddits are ignorant pricks who find the most trivial things to pick on. This is especially strong from reddit when concerning anyone who doesn't side with Obama. Seriously, fuck the hivemind.

[–]TemporalDistortions 4 points5 points ago

Grrr

[–]MagmaiKH -3 points-2 points ago

How about... 'Fuck billionaires that piss-and-moan about $0.14 then increase their price by $0.50' to "maintain shareholder value"... no retard, you just started a boycott of your product and now you will be fired.

[–]crocs_and_jorts 3 points4 points ago

I think they raised the prices.

[–]desireux 1 point2 points ago

As a european, i found your claim kinda exaggerating

[–]MagmaiKH -2 points-1 points ago

No.. we hate Papa John now. Sell the stock.

[–][deleted] 16 points17 points ago

i thought they only put stock in soup, not pizza.

[–]Shudlin 5 points6 points ago

Fuck the downvotes, you wrote the only funny thing in this thread. Some people on a sub dedicated to meme's ought to be funny.

[–]richards2kreider 0 points1 point ago

because he doesnt agree with barack obama

[–]theGOV3NAT0R 1 point2 points ago

Because his pizzas are bad and he should feel bad

[–]Huskerheven1 0 points1 point ago

I still don't understand why Papa John's is to be condemned.... This is a very rational decision for a business man.

[–]Im_an_Owl 1 point2 points ago

I'm a democrat, and really Huffington Post? That's the Fox News of liberalism

[–]colts300 -3 points-2 points ago

Because he's a dick and his pizzas are shit. Or, they are going to raise prices and cut employees hours to compensate for Obamacare. One or the other.

[–]Biggle 6 points7 points ago

papa johns make some dank pizzas actually.

[–]zorospride 1 point2 points ago

All the rest might be true, but I like the pizza.

[–]Steph0906 -2 points-1 points ago

Coming from an ex employee, papa johns was a shitty company to work for before this.

John is a tard. Im sure if the company stopped giving out a million coupons and offers to everyone and their mother, and actually made a profit then maybe, just maybe his greedy ass would be able to afford health insurance. We would put about 7 coupons on each box, plus the coupons you can receive online, and all the mailers that are mailed out. Its quiet ridiculous if you ask me.

I would normally work a 6-8 hour shift, and literally maybe 3 people would pay for a pizza without any discounts. And thats the only reason why papa johns is still around. You can get a large pizza for 10 dollars. Times suck right now, if we weren't in a recession, papa johns would go down so fast.

Ever since the Obama care, prices have been going up and up, smh.

[–]dirtydmix -1 points0 points ago

Most companies that pay low wages and have high turnover are shit. Welcome to the world.

Retail sucks, food service sucks, digging ditches sucks, all low paying jobs aren't going to be great.

Quit your bitching and get a better job.

[–]Malaligned 4 points5 points ago

"Coming from an ex employee..."

[–]Steph0906 2 points3 points ago

I did :) hence ex employee

[–]dirtydmix 0 points1 point ago

I know, it's just funny to see people that are surprised a low paying job would suck.

[–]dirtydmix 0 points1 point ago

And good for u getting the hell out of there.

[–]Steph0906 0 points1 point ago

Well the job itself wasn't all that bad, we cooked everything in a little oven and then cut it and stood there until another order came thru, not bad for a job. The part that bugged me was when the company wanted our store to make 12,000 a week and the best our store could do on a good week was maybe 7,000 and WE, the employees, get blamed for it, really irkes me.

So many times I wanted to write a letter to someone explaining to them that if you stop being retards and maybe try and make a profit then just maybe we could meet your numbers.

And can someone please for the love of food, please tell Mr Papa john that cooking wings in an oven is gross and unless he wants to be known as the place that bakes his wings, he needs to invest in a deep fryer.
