I didn't laugh at this submission, but is it immature if my friends and I burst out laughing at the actual scene because of the terrible acting, and awkward "Oh Nooo!" cry he gave Carl like he was mocking him.

I wasn't in the mindset for that episode. It started when Michonne and the Governor went back and forth about the "soldiers had guns", "walkers are tough", "bullet holes in truck", etc...bounce back 3 or 4 times with the Governor still playing it stupid like he didn't know Michonne was on to him. Sometimes the writing in this show can be terrible, but I still love it.

Glad I'm not the only one who heard the "oh noooo" as mocking. I think his acting after that point was amazing (the crying, falling on the ground, etc). But the delivery of that one line... it sounded like it could've been followed up by, "You gonna cry about it, Carl?" or "Boo hoo!" or something. I don't know. It was off, somehow.

Have you ever heard a person cry out or try to speak after finding out someone close to them has died? His delivery of that line was absolutely dead on and made me feel really uncomfortable because it was so realistic. Of course, this isn't true for everyone, but when some people are so overcome by pain and grief, they lose the ability to say words or to speak in an appropriate tone.

I don't doubt I will probably laugh a little at that scene after seeing all these captioned versions, but while watching it the first time, I was blown away by the quality of Andrew Lincoln's performance.

Sense of humor is not dictated by age. Maturity would be not laughing at this in public, because you know it's socially unacceptable. Not laughing at this in private just means that you don't find this funny, not that you're becoming an "adult."

I used the "becoming an adult" phrase very tongue and cheek. The main point was that this wasn't all that funny.

Eh, I don't think this is very true to an extent, younger people are more inclined to low-brow, slapstick and/or toilet humor. I know I certainly was during adolescence.

I did not like how he said "Oh No" the first time. He says it as he leans down and says it, in like this weird voice, and I know its not intentional,but it sounded like he was mocking Carl.

I think after the initial "Oh No" it was very genuine acting, and very well played out. I've hunted up the clip on YouTube to see if others noticed and it seems to be a common complaint. It was bad enough to take me completely away from the crazy emotions I was going through while watching this episode.

I actually laughed when I watched this for the first time. I just found the sounds he was making funny, but at the same time it was excellent acting. I could totally imagine that being how someone would sound after losing a loved one.

When he turned to Carl and said "oh no!" he sounded sarcastic, at least to me. It kind of ruined the moment for me. The first part of the scene when he just calmly asked where she was sent shivers down my spine though.

I dunno. That kind of reaction seems way over the top for me. I think its the way he crouched, looked at Carl and said "Ahhhhhh noooo!" that I found just plain weird. It sounded like he had pity for Carl or something.

Yes ive had close family die, ive also seen my aunt's reaction to my uncle dying of a heart attack out of nowhere. And yes, he would have pity for Carl, but thats not the point of the scene at all, otherwise he wouldn't just curl up in a ball on the floor crying.
