I think the grey water from the washer is used to flush the toilet so that way you aren't using clean water to flush your shit.

[–]CareerSavingAccount[S] 0 points1 point ago

I assumed that was the case but the drain hose is hooked to a proper drain pipe. The other is a fill hose connecting to cold water taps, the same line as the toilet.

[–]Rudy69 2 points3 points ago

Plus if that was really the case you would need somewhere to hold the grey water, it can't stay in the washing machine

[–]Sir_Lord_Bumberchute 3 points4 points ago

It's going to be loud when it fails.

[–]mjrlz5 3 points4 points ago

both

[–]Isthisnametakenalso 8 points9 points ago

I can only imagine how many socks I'd have to dish out of the camode!

[–]JeremySmile 2 points3 points ago

Thought the same thing. They need to invest in a lid

[–]Mrubuto 2 points3 points ago

well it's better then the other way around.

[–]Koyoteelaughter 2 points3 points ago

at least he has air freshner

Um, those machines have anywhere from an 800rpm to 1,800rpm spin dry...

And LG is known for having really bad shaking in their machines, so that they "walk across the floor" even if they've been levelled properly.

Add to that the fact they have concrete counter-balances in them, so once they're filled with a load, you've got about a 100-150kg sheer weight, vibrating due to an 800-1800rpm spin dry...

In short, that fucker is going to go crashing off the wall the first time you have an unbalanced load of towels.

[–]Rudy69 1 point2 points ago

unbalanced load of towels

isn't that pretty much any load of towels?

[–]Antarius-of-Smeg 0 points1 point ago

By the time it hits the spin cycle, yes.

But then there are the towels that have severe mental health issues and refuse treatment and medication.

Those are the ones that'll kill you. Watch out.

This is actually a great idea! As long as it holds!! It is going to be very heavy

[–]pumpmar 0 points1 point ago

up until it falls down, it was a good idea

[–]Gringostar87 1 point2 points ago

Portal anyone?

[–]GMonkey123 1 point2 points ago

Reminds me of This [NSFW]

[–]AlanBn 0 points1 point ago

Space? The house probably doesn't have enough space to put it anywhere else lol!

[–]Multimind 1 point2 points ago

If it is secured properly, it is a great idea. But, it seems somewhat weakly constructed. I would at least not used the toilet when the machine was running...

100-150 kg? This looks like a normal machine for home use. I've seen a skinny guy carrying one on his back into the 4th floor. I think it should be rather around 80 kg.

[–]Mondoshawan 0 points1 point ago

Yup. The only way this could be safe would if the metal "arms" were twice as long and built into the load-bearing bricks in the wall and if the feet of the washer were strapped to the arms to prevent lateral movement.

[–]Firefly45 0 points1 point ago

My first thought was you would have to be pretty tall to use the knobs on the washer.

[–]twcw 1 point2 points ago

I'd still be nervous poopin under it while its on spin though. That aside, not a bad idea!!

[–]emul8ter25 0 points1 point ago

Amazing idea! Efficient use of space and no long queues for the toilet! Ain't nobody gonna be taking a long relaxing poop in there!

[–]Bmxuoe 0 points1 point ago

This would be an AMAZING idea if they were using the waste water from the washer to flush the toilet.

[–]neorra 1 point2 points ago

Shitty way to go..

[–]siledas 0 points1 point ago

I'm not sure I'd be cool with lint balls falling into my shit. Something about looking down and seeing furry crap gives me shivers.

[–]TerminalD 1 point2 points ago

Convenient when you shit your pants.

[–]Dublin1996 1 point2 points ago

Ahhh, the trailer for Final Destination 7. Looks amazing!

[–]itsfreshlyshorn 0 points1 point ago

I'm not sure about LG, but a whirlpool front load washer weighs 298lbs dry, straight out of the box.

Add 10lbs of clothes and 50lbs of water and that will fucking kill you.

[–]farmerfound 0 points1 point ago

I always wanted to be crushed while taking a dump. I just imagined it would be by a fat guy that was too big to notice I was already on the toilet.

[–]gkiltz 0 points1 point ago

Neither, just incompetent plumbing and a big sewer gas leak right into that nice washer.

[–]GeneralJPatts -1 points0 points ago

a good idea for the next final destination

[–]inventedJerseyshore 0 points1 point ago

I would go to the toilet faster than I have ever done before.

[–]gemafreemusic 0 points1 point ago

Russian talent for improvisation.

[–]Japwoman 0 points1 point ago

10 out 10 for sheer stoopidity

[–]kevans2 0 points1 point ago

If you need to poop you are going to have a bad time.

[–]Gas_Devil 0 points1 point ago

I'm pretty sure that the neighbour will not like the noise transmitted through the wall...

[–]radiohatkid 0 points1 point ago

This is efficient use of space AND water.

[–]bigdaddyabomb -1 points0 points ago

This is not a great idea at all... I am very skeptical about the securing method of this. MAINLY, the drain is tied directly into a pipe hoping it was a waste stack. There is no trap on the drain so good chance of sewer gas as well it's tied in below the flood level so if there is ever a sewer backup they could have a washer full of shit. Because of the direct connection and location of the washer you have a potential (and very likely) cross connection to your potable water. This is why places like home hardware should not sell plumbing parts.

[–]bhogala 0 points1 point ago

Somebody should have told him that he could freshen his washroom with "fresh laundry" febreeze instead.

[–]wtfmanquestionmark -2 points-1 points ago

They should flip the design so the shit is shaken out of you.
