DISPLAY ONLY.

As a Californian, 25¢ per round actually isn't that bad for what appears to be 9mm and .223...

[–]thomas849 1 point2 points ago

If they toss in a dispenser for FGMM .308 I would be a head.

Fuck paying $1.30 a round.

If I lost all organic material below my neck I would be a head.

Just wait till the zombie apocalypse! This will turn out to be a stroke of fucking genius, at least to the survivors who carry loose change.

[–]countryboy97 1 point2 points ago

I knew keeping every bit of change I got in my truck would come in handy for something.

I hope those aren't live rounds. Storing ammunition properly is serious business.

[–]BobKelsoMD 1 point2 points ago

WTF ever... I have thousands of rounds sitting in bins in the bottom of my closet. Unless you live in an area that's EXTREMELY humid, you're fine.

[–]DeepFriedChildren -3 points-2 points ago

I seriously doubt the pictured containers are adequately sealed against temperature excursions and humidity, and it really does matter because I bet those rounds have been sitting around for ages and will probably do so for quite a while longer.

[–]BobKelsoMD 1 point2 points ago

Mine aren't sealed either... they're in open bins... And most ammunition has a pretty long life. I've shot ammo 15+ years old with no problems.

[–]DeepFriedChildren -2 points-1 points ago

I've seen a hole that you could look through in a stack of mess kits that was made by a 50 caliber round going off prematurely. Safety first.

[–]BobKelsoMD 0 points1 point ago

So you were in the Military. Congrats. So was I. I fail to see you're point beyond "you weren't there, man!!!".

[–]DeepFriedChildren -2 points-1 points ago

Haha actually I just lived in Louisiana. Gun shop there was run by a couple of redneck guys who had 50 cal round laying around, and the humidity started getting to them. The way I heard it, when it happened the shop was closed but it scared the crap out of a couple of dogs who live there.

[–]BobKelsoMD 0 points1 point ago

You just lived in Louisiana??? So did I!!!! Bro-fist!!!

go fuck yourself

considering bullets don't really do much unless they are chambered, im calling BS. they will just kinda explode and do nothing if they aren't.

and my friend has 3000 rounds+ under his bed, some 20 years old, all fire fine.
