My cat did something like that once. He couldnt lick it up into his mouth so he kept doing the facelick like at the end of the gif. I had a napkin nearby (was in the kitchen) and wiped his snot off his face.

He looked at me like "Thank you master" then plopped on his side. He is a lazy beast.
