His facial expression is about what I would have guessed for a person living in the narrowest house.

[–]kellykebab 18 points19 points ago

Even that multi-colored designer Hang-It-All coat rack does nothing to ease his pain.

[–]amoorefan2 10 points11 points ago

That's the face you get when you never have company over.

[–]JunkDestroyer 604 points605 points ago

There's barely any room for activities

[–]gdsoccer11 201 points202 points ago

Unless your activity of choice is climbing stairs :S

[–]KiPhemyst 144 points145 points ago

or reddit

[–]Eric_Wright 124 points125 points ago

or masturbating

[–]fintorro 60 points61 points ago

Residential agents rarely bring up an apartments wankabilty, it would be a tough sell.

[–]Eric_Wright 42 points43 points ago

Not for about 98% of redditors.

[–]kowalofjericho 6 points7 points ago

Where there is a will there is a way

[–]centipedeseverywhere 44 points45 points ago

I could not hula hoop in this house.

[–]jjh6x2 20 points21 points ago

That's why he needs bunk beds

[–]zogmuffin 353 points354 points ago

Is it really a good idea for Bruce Banner to live in the world's narrowest house?

[–]castleclouds 59 points60 points ago

He could expand it if necessary

[–]No_Name_Ideas 25 points26 points ago

I was thinking that he looked like M. Night Shyamalan

[–]Early-Cuyler 22 points23 points ago

...waiting for the plot twist where the house is a key part of the universe, saving all of mankind.

[–]pimpin8ez 29 points30 points ago

This wouldn't be so bad if you lived alone.

[–]firefae83 8 points9 points ago

For real. It already reminds me of an ant farm. Doesn't need any more ants to make it more realistic.

[–]mountaincyclops 12 points13 points ago

Bachelor level: Master

[–]Soonermandan 61 points62 points ago

Convenient: It has a window so you can kill yourself after living there for a week.

[–]jooliver 17 points18 points ago

If you could fit through it~!

[–]themauwinator 232 points233 points ago

I would actually love this

[–]Big_Adam 29 points30 points ago

I suggest giving Relax Shacks a look then - http://relaxshacks.blogspot.co.uk/

[–]Mamy2237 4 points5 points ago

I want one of these! But it's too cold here to bother building one...

[–]Skvid 20 points21 points ago

I thought so too but i reconsidered. Its too damn narrow it would start driving me mad after a while. If it was twice as wide it would be fine.

[–]aksid 20 points21 points ago

I agree, but it would be a badass city house if you lived a couple hours away. Staying here over the weekend wouldn't be too bad.

[–]Abndak 35 points36 points ago

Well that was fucked up, thanks.

[–]Derpy1derptrololol 3 points4 points ago

Now try Gyo!

Enigma of Amigara Fault was a bonus story in this

[–]autechr3 16 points17 points ago

almost didn't read it, was not disappointed

[–]Letenje_kurac 7 points8 points ago

What in the actual fuck...

[–]April_Fabb 5 points6 points ago

I always wondered why that place doesn't make it easier to actually read the comics.

[–]No_not_the_monkey 4 points5 points ago

Drr drr drr...

[–]mrthbrd 3 points4 points ago

It's slowly coming this way!

[–]activeoctopuss 2 points3 points ago

Good thing I didn't need to sleep tonight.

[–]evilwithasmile 2 points3 points ago

What the fuck am I doing here

[–]mrs_awesome 2 points3 points ago

No. That gave me nightmares the first time. Never again.

[–]Vekete 6 points7 points ago

Pussy.

[–]daviddavidjon 44 points45 points ago

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/19/narrow-house-opening-as-a_0_n_1987050.html

This is Etgar Kerets house. He's a somewhat eccentric israeli writer and his short stories are more than WTF worthy.

really, read selections from "Suddenly, A Knock on The Door" - SO MUCH WTF

[–]GeneralEvident 6 points7 points ago

Huh, this was unexpected. I've met him, got him to sign my copy of that book. Did not recognize him at first, then I saw your comment. Regarding the short stories, I can really recommend "Fatso". It's quite beautiful, in that strange sort of way. If it hasn't been taken down, you should be able to google it.

[–]PisangGoreng 51 points52 points ago

Cannot be into fat chicks when you live there :(

[–]bliz_ 19 points20 points ago

Not only that, the walls are all translucent.

Where do I masturbate in this thing?

[–]Yabbob 23 points24 points ago

The more jizz on the walls, the harder for them to see you.

[–]Kpayne78 118 points119 points ago

This is actually a poor use of space. If you were going to live in such a narrow and small building, maximizing that space would be key.

The stairs down, which I assume come up to make a floor is a giant waste. Put in a circular staircase that goes all the way up and you have a ton more workable floor space.

[–]Phiction2 39 points40 points ago

It'd be a friggin' tight spiral! How about a ladder for up, and a fire pole for down? That'd be fun.

[–]pornmonger 128 points129 points ago

I've got another idea. How about we refurb and old building or tear one down and build a better one? If this asshole fills up all the alleys with narrow homes, where am I supposed to get a dirty blowjob?

[–]herrakonna 43 points44 points ago

Not to mention the waste of vertical space from that slice / triangle shape, rather than utilizing all of the space between the two buildings.

[–]xpis1 34 points35 points ago

I think the point of that was to get light in the house, but even then it seems like it would only be liight for like one hour per day

[–]tomdarch 24 points25 points ago

That's a good thought, but it's too narrow for a functional, let alone code-complying circular stair. Another meter in width, and it would probably be possible.

[–]nativefloridian 12 points13 points ago

I wish one of my colleges would have listened to you...the spiral treads were literally 1'6" wide. Moving in was a bitch.

Edit: http://uwf.edu/housing/images/southsidespiral2.jpg

[–]Bitter_Idealist 15 points16 points ago

What is that a picture of a spiral staircase for ants, for ANTS?

[–]QuasarsRcool 309 points310 points ago

Not wtf

[–]cbanana 74 points75 points ago

Yeah, I'm subscribed to r/roomporn, thought this was on there...

[–]lia_sang 20 points21 points ago

I thought this was from /r/tinyhouses

[–]LookLikeJesus 2 points3 points ago

/r/roomporn for the lazy.

Ok, for me. I'm on my phone and lazy.

[–]ZeGoldMedal 21 points22 points ago

I suppose my claustrophobia is worse than yours, because I've rarely been this scared looking at a WTF post.

[–]pornmonger 31 points32 points ago

In this case, it means "who the fuck would live in a hallway?"

[–]NismoJase 5 points6 points ago

I guess that's one way to really get the point across of the whole "No fat chicks" point of view.

He must really not like the fatties.

[–]kels_o 42 points43 points ago

okay but wait, how the FUCK do you get to the bean bag chair?!

[–]classic__schmosby 28 points29 points ago

Look at the 5th picture: the door closes and becomes more floor.

[–]itshotinmycar 12 points13 points ago

"the door closes and becomes more floor"

I'm not even going to look at the picture because I DONT WANT TO KNOW how a closed door becomes more floor.

[–]oysterpirate 3 points4 points ago

The same way you make a better door than a window.

[–]grecy 6 points7 points ago

Came here to ask, found answer.

Have an upvote.

[–]austeregrim 14 points15 points ago

You worry about the beanbag chair??? How would you feel about shitting in the shower?

Never mind, I kind of like that idea.

[–]fennekeg 5 points6 points ago

close the hatch and walk over it

[–]mekranil 4 points5 points ago

Valid question

[–]SupaSonicNigga 11 points12 points ago

Claustrophobia kicking in...

[–]Ettery 40 points41 points ago

The architect must have been narrow-minded.

[–]thebyurokrat 2 points3 points ago

Hope he doesn't read this. He can be a bit thin-skinned.

[–]hardxstyle 25 points26 points ago

My brain keeps trying to process this as if it's in a 2D platformer. I keep imagining myself in the house, limited to a single perspective, and 2D plane movement.

[–]I_have_no_username 4 points5 points ago

Your video games would be limited to pre-N64 stuff.

[–]akuta 9 points10 points ago

I love this idea; however, it would be a bitch to get out of in a fire...

[–]re-run 9 points10 points ago

Imagine trying to get to your bed while sozzled.

[–]happy_otter 91 points92 points ago

This person has no clothes?

Not /r/WTF , more like /r/ArchitecturePorn...

ps: it bothers me to no end that the desk is flipped in comparison to the 3D plan.

[–]Ronnie_James_Diode 21 points22 points ago

And where's the shower?

[–]bangonthedrums 19 points20 points ago

On top of the toilet - it's a wet room

[–]eviltwinskippy 3 points4 points ago

There's no closet space and you can't get to the bean bag "living room." I call B.S. on this being a complete house.

[–]Crasha 10 points11 points ago

You can get there by closing the hatch to the stair, see picture 5.

[–]good_dog_Cujo 2 points3 points ago

There's a trap-door that can cover the stairway to get to the beanbag. I'd say it's real house for sure.

The whole 'actually living there' though? I doubt it. Even David Blaine would go nuts after a week there.

[–]Christinadruck 5 points6 points ago

That looks like it would be absolutely miserable to live in.

[–]drageuth2 8 points9 points ago

I think my most major complaint is that the toilet is down a ladder from the bedroom. If I get up in the night and have to piss really bad, I don't want to have to navigate that in a hurry in the dark.

Other than that, no storage capacity for clothes, and very little for food. And no washing machine. And it would appear that the toilet is in the shower.

Also, I imagine you are going to have a problem with stubbing your toes. A lot.

Edit: Actually, now that I think about it, the shower-toilet doesn't seem like a bad idea. You could use the shower to help clean up the toilet (it appears to be on a hose) and you wouldn't need toilet paper any more since you could just clean up with soap and water.

[–]Trainturtle 7 points8 points ago

Now only one zombie can get in at a time. Good job man, good job...

[–]CapnScumbone 6 points7 points ago

i could not live there at all. i need room to flail around wildly while pooping, and i'd just end up bruising myself here.

[–]SuperHorribleGaming 8 points9 points ago

Claustrophobic heaven....

[–]Eab123 5 points6 points ago

I would actually hate the fuck out of this.

[–]desquibnt 5 points6 points ago

Narrowest house? This person has clearly never seen a dorm room

[–]Dick_Dickly_Dickson 5 points6 points ago

Forever alone house.

[–]Vexxicus 4 points5 points ago

Repost, and not really wtf...

[–]14jewarts 4 points5 points ago

Read this as the worlds narrowest horse so I tried to find the horse in all the pictures but not-surprisingly couldn't. I was semi-disappointed when I found out it was worlds narrowest "house".

[–]crack-a-lacking 24 points25 points ago

Looks cozy, unless your claustrophobic

[–]cubistpanther 19 points20 points ago

I didn't think I was but this house makes me a feel a bit sick, strange feeling.

[–]missmichellini 8 points9 points ago

Me too! I felt like I couldn't breathe...

[–]LeftHandedFapper 4 points5 points ago

Yea. I dig the concept but I would need a few extra feet to the left and right

[–]wha7thmah 4 points5 points ago

Or fat.

[–]insidiousFox 7 points8 points ago

Slender Man's house.

[–]IvanPistoff 3 points4 points ago

I would not want to be there during an earthquake.

[–]smaffron 3 points4 points ago

Who wants to throw a single-file party?

[–]ToxicMonkeys 3 points4 points ago

Why does it feel like everything I see on reddit, I see at least twice the same day these days.

[–]thrownpillow 3 points4 points ago

I misread this as "The World's narrowest horse" :(

[–]EpicJ23 3 points4 points ago

Why is this in r/WTF?

[–]cheezburglar 3 points4 points ago

It's in Warsaw, Poland.

[–]circuitbomb 1 point2 points ago

I'm sure a person who has spent time in a prison would find this house more than accommodating.

[–]Ionlyacceptdownvotes 3 points4 points ago

What is this?! A house for ants!?!

[–]epicforlife 3 points4 points ago

This isn't wtf worthy you should put this on r/pics

[–]lefondler 5 points6 points ago

His face pisses me off...

[–]trainertaryn 5 points6 points ago

Am I the only one that looked at it, and wanted to live in it?

[–]HFHash 2 points3 points ago

Sex in this place is for creative people only.

[–]samuraimonster 3 points4 points ago

No refrigerator. That s my biggest concern.

[–]urbangentlman 2 points3 points ago

Yahoo beat you to this...that should say something

[–]SoloWing1 0 points1 point ago

You could have fit much more if you uses a ladder through the entire house instead of stairs.

[–]Randumbthawts 2 points3 points ago

Just don't get fat.

[–]bravemicrowave 2 points3 points ago

so, yahoo articles are making the front wtf page? that's more wtf than the house.

[–]Jyon 2 points3 points ago

why

[–]mankindislost 2 points3 points ago

Dude, i have a shoulder width of more than 90cm.

Man i would burn this whole thing down in a week, out of pure rage.

[–]harbinger_117 2 points3 points ago

I don't know who wouldn't want this, its brilliant!! Small Enough to live comfortably and not have a million rooms, but big enough to have every room you need. ALL MY WANT

[–]utnow 2 points3 points ago

Why wouldn't you build on the ground floor? The largest bit of floor space is down there and gets consumed with the stairs.

[–]yudhamica17 2 points3 points ago

Saw this on yahoo like a few weeks ago

[–]bustedknees 2 points3 points ago

If I get a boner in this house, i have to walk backwards just to go back where i came from.

[–]ColRockAmp 2 points3 points ago

I would definitely spend all my time wedged between the walls climbing around my house like some sort of spelunker.

[–]althalus 2 points3 points ago

Imagine if you broke your leg or something - how much would that suck.

[–]LGV_123 2 points3 points ago

Stressful as fuck.

[–]panga 2 points3 points ago

How are you supposed to access the bean bag?

[–]Jenna07 2 points3 points ago

I think I would rather live in my car.

[–]chemchik900 2 points3 points ago

The bedspread reminds me of angel food cake with the confetti sprinkles in it :)

[–]TerdSandwich 2 points3 points ago

Why would you choose to live in a dorm room.

[–]MSaunders12 2 points3 points ago

So... Neat!

[–]thecreator666 2 points3 points ago

As a claustrophobic fat person i can say that this is my worst nightmare.

[–]wepa 2 points3 points ago

What is this? A house for ants?

[–]Dankdub69 2 points3 points ago

Sponsored by ikea

[–]hairyassandballs 2 points3 points ago

If someone I knew bought that house, I would get them a hula hoop as a housewarming gift.

Rest in peace, sweet prince.

[–]buddybiter 2 points3 points ago

Can't even breakdance in there! Well, maybe the worm.

[–]Beano92 2 points3 points ago

Anyone else find it funny that all the photos were vertical?

[–]Llama_fo_yo_mama 2 points3 points ago

Fixed worlds narrowest house.

[–]juliegotaunicorn 2 points3 points ago

It's Slender House.

[–]rsdtriangle 2 points3 points ago

I like doing karate kicks in my apartment way too much to ever live there.

[–]redditwinsinternets 2 points3 points ago

[–]jspeights 2 points3 points ago

NO SEX WITH FAT GIRLS

[–]killnorphan 5 points6 points ago

You stole this from the TIL. Down vote for you.

[–]texasjoe 10 points11 points ago

What are the first two rules of downvote club?

[–]Nigelwethers 3 points4 points ago

And the previous person stole it from elsewhere. So trivial.

[–]DutchingFlyman 1 point2 points ago

[–]Ranunculus_Auricomus 1 point2 points ago

I would like it... about that much.

[–]Tsenraem 1 point2 points ago

Guy looks really happy to be living there.

[–]DNA84 1 point2 points ago

World's narrowest house probably rents at 3000 a month.

[–]Masshole3000 0 points1 point ago

Great concept when you think about the amount of people who populate the world now.

[–]NRMLkiwi -1 points0 points ago

THIS!!!!!! is actually quite a brilliant idea, would be great for 1 and a cat.

[–]with_explosions 0 points1 point ago

I bet it still costs and arm and a leg.

[–]csaliture 0 points1 point ago

I would be able to throw parties here and totally pack the house... I'm lonely.

[–]thisislaffable 0 points1 point ago

Obviously this is awesome, but I would feel so claustrophobic if I lived there.

[–]view1234 1 point2 points ago

bored. no room for friends to come over. can hear the next 3 layers of 'houses' having sex. feels like a tent. fml.

[–]derrida_n_shit 1 point2 points ago

Imagine the kind of house party you can have.

[–]GaroLord 1 point2 points ago

i want that house

[–]re-run 1 point2 points ago

Making a bed in this place would be a real bitch.

[–]Danzaemon 1 point2 points ago

I would totally live in this.

[–]serosis 1 point2 points ago

I think I would rather enjoy living there.

[–]chelseamene2 1 point2 points ago

This wouldn't work if you were tall, overweight, or just naturally broad.

Still, the concept is fantastic.

[–]hooksforfeet 1 point2 points ago

So many fire hazards.

[–]thewhere 1 point2 points ago

wtf is with the bed

[–]rebint 1 point2 points ago

What's with the bean bag?

[–]buttertictic 1 point2 points ago

That guy has the perfect attitude for "i live in a tiny space".

[–]ophello 1 point2 points ago

This would slowly drive me insane.

[–]messedhobo 1 point2 points ago

Someone buy this man a poster!

[–]Hulemann 1 point2 points ago

Fuck you fire safety.

[–]Hypomanic_Poet 1 point2 points ago

I can't decide whether I'd love living here or hate it...

[–]Cupig24 1 point2 points ago

This brings a new meaning to "forever alone"

[–]tdwinton74 1 point2 points ago

I believe this is in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

[–]r3turn_null 1 point2 points ago

Cool, and yet terrible.

[–]eCaravanier 1 point2 points ago

[–]Svenchen1429 1 point2 points ago

I thought this was the world's narrowest house?

[–]StacyD86 1 point2 points ago

this should be in /r/forever alone

[–]Raknith 1 point2 points ago

The only time ever that vertical iPhone pics are actually okay.

[–]Aquanaut38 1 point2 points ago

I think I would develop claustrophobia in that place.

[–]PortixArsenal 1 point2 points ago

It seems surprisingly bright and cozy
