Where the fuck did Alaska go?

[–]ishitmypants2 316 points317 points ago

This actually is the worst part about living in Alaska.

[–]matap821 114 points115 points ago

Really? Not the six months a year without daylight or that the most only famous person from your state is Sarah Palin?

[–]SpaceOdysseus 77 points78 points ago

Commander William T. Riker of the USS Enterprise would like to have a word with you.

[–]Doctor_Insano_PhD 35 points36 points ago

Picard/Riker 2012! MAKE IT SO

[–]chriswastaken 22 points23 points ago

Yea but let's get serious here, 23rd century North America is completely different. I mean, in the 23rd century Iowa exports starships instead of tractors and corn.

[–]SabreDeC 8 points9 points ago

TIL: Starship = fancy tractor

[–]Nadiar 7 points8 points ago

We've got some porn stars from here (Mia Rose is probably the most famous of them), several professional sports players (including Curt Schilling, whos getting singled out for his video game shit), some musicians (and other than Jewel, we'll even admit they come from here), Margaret Ogden (author Robin Hobb), and Christian Allen (a Lead Designer on Ghost Recon and Halo: Reach).

[–]talan123 3 points4 points ago

I like that you went with the porn star first.

[–]ssjaken 4 points5 points ago

Don't forget jewel! She's from here

[–]matap821 84 points85 points ago

The website was made before 1959

[–]Zaboodable 3 points4 points ago

How? Electricity didn't exist back then.

[–]int1 8 points9 points ago

Notepad ++

[–]LadyTittyBang[S] 42 points43 points ago

It's on Jimmy John's website, so Alaska is missing. It works 99% of the time, unless they have some sort of random islands at the top. I just noticed that today as I ordered food.

[–]ihatewomen1925 25 points26 points ago

Alabama would still be before alaska

[–]SyxxPakc 43 points44 points ago

Sometimes, these drop-down boxes place Alaska ahead of Alabama because the abbreviation AK comes before AL. I don't find this very often but it does happen from time to time. Being from Alabama, I find it irritating when sites do this.

[–]arms_of_a_bear 27 points28 points ago

The rest of the country has no idea we all know the alphabet here.

[–]RonWisely 2 points3 points ago

Let's not jump the gun now.

[–]Doctor_Insano_PhD 3 points4 points ago

Hah, the Jimmy John's site. I think a year ago, I found out they plaintext their passwords. I'll bet their site is also vulnerable to SQL injection. It's probably better to call in to their store rather than use their site.

[–]Captain_Kuhl 12 points13 points ago

There are actually a few missing. From the picture alone, Alaska, Connecticut, Delaware, and Hawaii are missing. The ones there, also, are not in any distinctly alphabetical order.

[–]h34dhun73r 12 points13 points ago

and Connecticut, and Delaware, and Hawaii...

[–]pencilbagger 4 points5 points ago

Not to mention, they seem to make an effort to make the list in alphabetical order but if you actually look at it there's tons of states that are in the wrong place.

[–]KidQuantum 0 points1 point ago

On about half the sites I go to, Alaska is before Alabama (AK>AL).

[–]SilentSacrifice 99 points100 points ago

Also, not living in Mississippi.

[–]flyfer 54 points55 points ago

At least we're not Mississippi.

[–]bearbackpack 13 points14 points ago

Words I live by.

[–]TheNerfBat 10 points11 points ago

I live in Mississippi :(

[–]boossaa 32 points33 points ago

Not true. We also created this.

[–]raen929 12 points13 points ago

you just haaad to bring that up

[–]flyfer 13 points14 points ago

There's also this.

[–]mcguire 6 points7 points ago

Hey, that link shouldn't be blue. I know what it is before I click on it.

Edit: And I was wrong. I thought it'd be Antoine.

[–]JacksonHannan 7 points8 points ago

Also, hide ya kids...

[–]underwateremu666 29 points30 points ago

you seem to be forgetting the leprechaun.

[–]Fallenpoet 47 points48 points ago

I grew up in Mobile. I went to Baker and Murphey. I got my BA at South. I actually miss the city. Beautiful and full of life, albeit very hot, Mobile was good to me. The only thing I missed was a music scene. Otherwise, it's got all the goods, especially food. I know it takes all kinds, like my grandmother said, but I always feel the need to speak up for Alabama. Funny, but it's got pretty much what every other state has got. Maybe some people just don't want to see what exists in their home state. Grass is always greener, right? Find you some love for that good ole Bama.

[–]Neven87 20 points21 points ago

Indeed, I'm from Mobile. After traveling quite a bit, I've come to appreciate it much more. People who automatically have a hate for living in Alabama usually haven't lived anywhere else and assume it sucks because on what they see TV/internet.

[–]Fallenpoet 11 points12 points ago

I admit it's a very hot and humid place to live, which really sucks when you're a teenager having to cut the grass. I wanted to get away after college, which I did. I'm glad I left because I met my wife, but I learned to love what's left. Growing up is tough, and it's easy to wear blinders regarding where you grew. I appreciate the post. If anyone can travel, I recommend it. Seeing things from a different perspective can bring out amazing color in what I think has been ordinary, though I'm still a Roll Tide kid. Bama!

[–]Muddie 10 points11 points ago

I just recently spent 3 weeks on business in Mobile. Being a filthy yankee myself, I thought it was quite lovely. Tons of things to do, it was big but not too big, easily accessible (except for your fucking service roads. Those things are just a calamity just waiting to happen!) and the food was fantastic.

Not being a football fan, I don't think I could live there, but goddamn you guys know gumbo, grits, and oysters.

[–]LlamaCee 8 points9 points ago

I grew up in Mobile too. I always try to tell people Mobile is a little different from the rest of Alabama. I like to quote Eugene Walter about it..."If, as a child, you saw, every Mardi Gras, the figure of Folly chasing Death around the broken column of life, beating him on the back with a fool's scepter from which dangled two gilded pig bladders, wouldn't you see the world in different terms too?"

Still glad I don't live there anymore though.

[–]Ququmatz 2 points3 points ago

I always try to tell people Mobile is a little different from the rest of Alabama.

It's the leprechauns.

[–]GROGtheVIKING 2 points3 points ago

Grew up in Orange Beach/Gulf Shores. I never thought there was anything wrong with Alabama until I ventured off our little island community. I do love the football, food, and the forests and wildlife here are beautiful, not to mentetion our beaches.

[–]CivilCat 41 points42 points ago

And space rockets.

[–]JacksonHannan 26 points27 points ago

Huntsville's a pretty nice place to live.

[–]Steph1423 9 points10 points ago

The college I go to is right beside the space center. The rockets and shuttle are completely visible when coming and going here :,) It's beautiful.

[–]theirishrogue 5 points6 points ago

I go to UAH too. Well hi there.

[–]smagic 3 points4 points ago

My home town...also Antoine Dodson's.

[–]RollTides 12 points13 points ago

Huntsville space camp was the highlight of my Elementary school career.

[–]vulpes_occulta 40 points41 points ago

There's some great fishing in Alabama. Lets not forget that.

[–]Ikarus3426 39 points40 points ago

OP is actually a fish. Way to be insensitive.

[–]IAmAParadoxJk 8 points9 points ago

Lake Guntersville is like 20 minutes from my house. Love it.

[–]enazatol 7 points8 points ago

Smith lake and logan martin.

[–]jQuackAttack 3 points4 points ago

Lake Eufaula or DIE.

[–]Apollo2112 36 points37 points ago

And NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville.

And the medical research at UAB.

And Books-a-million, which is a Birmingham company.

And Alabama College football. (Or Auburn if that's how you do things in your private life)

And the award winning Railroad Park in Birmingham.

And the largest cast iron statue in the world, Vulcan.

And being able to comfortably ride a motorcycle in November.

Or doing anything outdoors in general.

Speaking of that, the beaches in Gulf Shores are gorgeous.

And gawwwdddd... the seafood......

And the slew local beer breweries.

And of course, the J Clyde in Birmingham where you can drink of said local brews.

edit: missed a few.

[–]arms_of_a_bear 8 points9 points ago

Ctrl-F "Birmingham"

Was going to mention dat Vulcan ass on Red Mountain.

But all that stuff you listed is good, too

[–]sknolii 5 points6 points ago

Since you're giving props to Birmingham, AVONDALE BREWERY AND BOTTLETREE I LOVE YOU

[–]CysFibAL 1 point2 points ago

"local beer breweries"

Probably 49th/50 per usual.

[–]ifyoucandonatenow 2 points3 points ago

I love the J Clyde, Vulcan, Crimson Tide football, all of it. Having just moved away from Alabama recently, it is definitely a lot more precious to me now. I don't even mind it when people make fun of my accent.

[–]bcrabill 99 points100 points ago

I love Georgia because I can usually just hit "G" and it'll take me there. Unless FUCKING GUAM is on there!

[–]Bleeeh 42 points43 points ago

This is also the worst thing about living in England.

United Kingdom, nope

Great Britain, nope

British Isles, nope

Britian, nope

England, Ah! There we go!.

I've see all of them as a selection at one time or another.

Heh you said sorry after mentioning Canada! Are you Carlos Mencia's writer?

[–]crackshot91 65 points66 points ago

How the fuck does "Guam" come before "Georgia"?

Who the fuck alphabetizes these lists??

WE NEED SOME GODDAMN ACCOUNTABILITY.

[–]bassgoonist 2 points3 points ago

Some do it by postal abbreviation, some do it by full name. See also: Iowa vs Idaho (IA vs ID). Really annoying.

[–]crackshot91 4 points5 points ago

Well, even so. The abbreviation of Georgia is GA. What is Guam's abbreviation?

This is utter lunacy. bcrabill, you need to tell people who did this to you. They need to be brought to justice. Guam before Georgia is fucking anarchy. We as a society can not let this continue.

[–]SwimmerFan 13 points14 points ago

Yeah same for Ohio! use it ALL the time.

[–]LittleWhiteGirl 5 points6 points ago

I moved from Ohio to Tennessee, still the first one of my letter!

[–]jreatherford 9 points10 points ago

Having moved form Tennessee to Alabama, these are both awesome...

...except, you know, the parts where I live in Tennessee and Alabama...

[–]zalone 12 points13 points ago

Same for Pennsylvania. Just hit 'P'

[–]dnbeyer 19 points20 points ago

Well that's how it was until some asshole added Palau.

[–]Meanest_Phlebotomist 18 points19 points ago

Fucking Palau

[–]GuitarFreak027 8 points9 points ago

Unless fucking Palau is in there.

[–]UnoDosMoltres 3 points4 points ago

Love it.

[–]asdfcasdf 11 points12 points ago

Yes, that must be awful.

"Oh, I guess I'll type in the rest of 'new'"

[–]CowFu 9 points10 points ago

Missouri, hit "M" ~7 times.

[–]kawfey 4 points5 points ago

As a missourian I feel your pain.

[–]pigeoninabox 6 points7 points ago

Gotta love that "a" that comes after the "w" in "Washington"

[–]SHES_A_WITCH 6 points7 points ago

Wisconsin here...I hate you.
Not really....but, you know.

[–]kcheezy 31 points32 points ago

Wow I didn't realize there were so many self-hating Alabamians. I actually kinda like living here.

[–]Neven87 11 points12 points ago

It's the popular opinion, so people fall into who haven't lived outside of Alabama.

[–]hochizo 16 points17 points ago

Yep. Grew up in Alabama. Bad-mouthing it was like a defense mechanism. Just make fun of it before someone else can. I moved to Louisiana a couple years ago and will never bad-mouth Alabama again. Nice roads, reasonable traffic, people who actually practice Southern Hospitality, decent businesses, Yeungling, Zaxby's, Publix, the list goes on and on....

[–]blexipro 7 points8 points ago

I think the people who haven't left Alabama are the ones that hate it the most. I'm from Daphne and I've traveled the world a little bit and lived in Atlanta for 5 years. I was always fiercely protective of Alabama when I met new people. I considered myself a sort of ambassador to show other people that Alabama could actually be awesome.

I just moved back to Daphne from Atlanta a month ago. I miss Atlanta a lot, but it's nice to be near the Coast and to my family.

[–]knightskull 14 points15 points ago

Scroll Tide!

[–]youhaveissuesman 11 points12 points ago

I love Alabama. Nice mild weather, hot summers, beautiful pine trees. Neighbors who will actually talk to you. The first in the drop-down thing is just one of many perks.

(I haven't lived in Alabama since the 80s, though. Maybe things changed, who knows.)

[–]Hegro 89 points90 points ago

Alabama college football, if you are into that kind of thing. Can't think of too much else though.

[–]paraprosDOPEan 25 points26 points ago

remember, half the state are Auburn fans tho... That's why they're so angry; basically nothing to live for but drop down lists.

[–]jaynay1 22 points23 points ago

Bill Nye made fun of our football program. Bill Nye. Let that soak in for a second.

[–]Ikarus3426 35 points36 points ago

Hey, we have a tiger as a mascot. That's pretty cool.

[–]elzeppo 31 points32 points ago

War Ea..er..hmm I forgot how it goes. Not much practice this season.

[–]66triple846993 11 points12 points ago

skip game, go directly to skybar

[–]JayTS 13 points14 points ago

I'm an Auburn fan and alum. As much as it hurts my soul to see Alabama dominating college football again, I do have to admit I'm proud of the state, we have the last 3 National Championships, with a good chance at 4 in a row, even if my team only got one of those and now looks like a second string high school team.

[–]tidderwork 2 points3 points ago

We had a good time out there!

/Aggie

[–]The_Bald_Eagle 13 points14 points ago

Difference is Auburn students get the fuck out of Alabama after graduating.

[–]bearbackpack 7 points8 points ago

I do not believe that to be true...

[–]WhiteWidow 7 points8 points ago

College football fans, come check out /r/cfb!

[–]ArrPeaSea 22 points23 points ago

Why is Arkansas before Arizona...and Idaho and Iowa...IS THIS IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER OR NOT

[–]deadXed 24 points25 points ago

It's sorted by state abbreviation.

[–]thetsk 8 points9 points ago

but .. they don't even show the abbreviations

[–]nolefan33 2 points3 points ago

They're probably alphabetized by the postal abbreviations. Or they just randomly grouped states with same first letter.

[–]ThePeskyWabbit 21 points22 points ago

o_o I live in Daphne... Stop it internet! stop coming into my real life

[–]LadyTittyBang[S] 9 points10 points ago

[–]MoLevine 7 points8 points ago

I live in Foley. Fuckin creepy!

[–]minahkyu 14 points15 points ago

There ARE redditors around me?

Oh no.

[–]CarnivorousAvenger 8 points9 points ago

Lambert's is good, I'm down your way a lot. Good part of the country.

[–]LadyTittyBang[S] 5 points6 points ago

/r/MobileAL or /r/BaldwincountyAL welcome you as well!

[–]EvaHayden 3 points4 points ago

I live in Daphne too!

[–]TheJucheisLoose 8 points9 points ago

How about the fact that your state football team is crushing the shit out of everyone in the NCAA?

[–]tubbstosterone 8 points9 points ago

So far, I have lived in: Texas, California, Kentucky, Kansas, Wurzburg (Germany), Schweinfurt (Germany), Heidelberg (Germany), Virginia, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, back to Virginia, and now Tuscaloosa, Alabama. With the exception of Germany, Alabama has to be the best place I have ever lived. I love this place.

[–]SAExpar 6 points7 points ago

The only good thing? How can you forget Saban???

[–]mycroftx 42 points43 points ago

not the only good thing, there's also football... RTR

[–]boppamowmowmow 9 points10 points ago

RMFTOTA!!

[–]ihatepageantmoms 4 points5 points ago

YES! RTR!

[–]tadowguy 4 points5 points ago

You don't need to scroll, you can just start typing. For Colorado, I just hit C twice and boom. For Texas, you just type T twice.

[–]DrFirstBase 4 points5 points ago

Hey, don't forget about Hopjacks. Do you have any idea how much minneapolis would love to have one of those around?

[–]sniper_lad 5 points6 points ago

HuntsVegas Rocks!

[–]SergeantSquiggs 44 points45 points ago

Roll tide.

[–]GeekyAine 12 points13 points ago

I would usually respond with "Tiger Bait" but, after this weekend. I'll just sit here with my shame. GG Bama.

[–]enazatol 4 points5 points ago

Roll tide, nick saban and baby jesus.

[–]tubbstosterone 4 points5 points ago

Roll tide, nick saban and 8 lb 11 oz baby jesus.

FIFY

[–]damn_you_malcolm 2 points3 points ago

A post showed up on my news feed on Facebook yesterday in which someone explained their intricate argument for why Nick Saban should be the president of the United States of America. I nearly cried for our state as a whole.

[–]pay_the_snucka 2 points3 points ago

Tide bless you.

[–]JacksonHannan 3 points4 points ago

Hail Saban!

[–]bowchika 1 point2 points ago

Currently going to UA and I approve this message

[–]Jack_Of_Hearts21 12 points13 points ago

Roll Tide.

[–]dabezian 24 points25 points ago

Alabamian here.

Fucking truth.

Other than legally owning switchblades and stilettos. And guns. And moonshine. As long as it isn't in too big a container.

Roll tide bitches.

[–]aetheradept 1 point2 points ago

Yes, i was looking at ar 15s in alexander city wallmart last night. I was going to buy me a ak in wetumpka the other day. 'Bama...

[–]_Cpt_Yesterday_ 3 points4 points ago

You also have your leprechauns!

[–]Oltima 3 points4 points ago

Who wants to see a leprechaun yall?

[–]Llamatoe212 3 points4 points ago

I guess you've never had soul food.

[–]MericaMan4Life 3 points4 points ago

i'm from alabama, and when i have to choose my state and alaska is listed above i get very mad.

[–]Strobepomf 3 points4 points ago

Alabama also is home to Horse Pens 40, one of the best climbing areas in the world.

[–]Recarta 3 points4 points ago

Mobile and Baldwin counties are the crutch of Alabama. The port and tourism.

[–]ASubtleName 3 points4 points ago

I'm from west Mobile :o

[–]treedick2011 7 points8 points ago

Also, guns and deer. :)

[–]DidntClickGuy 8 points9 points ago

I'd like to add one thing: the black community of Alabama is made up of the kindest, most generous, warmest, and most welcoming people in the world. I have never been treated with as much decency as a traveler than in Mobile, AL. I'd say that's a pretty nice thing about Alabama.

[–]Nerosinfalo 3 points4 points ago

You need to visit Fairfeild.

[–]RecoveringLurkaholic 10 points11 points ago

[–]ljg2108 4 points5 points ago

They have a few of those. RTR

[–]RiceCooker15 4 points5 points ago

Only good thing? Nah you guys got the Alabama Shakes!

[–]Mojoojom 0 points1 point ago

Haha heck yeah I love when that happens

[–]DESTROYER3264 2 points3 points ago

I hate fucking scrolling all the way to fucking Michigan! I usually pass it too, and then I have to scroll some more. Fuck!

[–]mspigglewiggle 2 points3 points ago

I'm only in California but I still envy you haha.

[–]lowery007 2 points3 points ago

and college football lol

[–]KoDj2 2 points3 points ago

North Alabamian here, the trees during fall are beautiful

[–]DELIGHTFULWHITEMALE 3 points4 points ago

what about all the gold that comes from frequent leprechaun sightings?

[–]slipn 3 points4 points ago

Bama football I would think would be the best part of living in AL. My boss is from there and almost freaked out the other day when they played LSU.

[–]IBrokeBenjamin 3 points4 points ago

That and the absolute best college football team EVER!!

[–]agnotastic 2 points3 points ago

Jimmy John's! I miss that place :(

[–]WhyteHouseCasino 0 points1 point ago

Does anyone remember when the "United States" shows up on top of the "Select Country" context menu despite the alphabetical order?

Those were the days.

(bracing for non-American downvotes)

[–]Extra21stChromosome 0 points1 point ago

Alabama's Top Ten

  1. Jesus
  2. Crimson Tide

  3. Nick Saban

  4. Guns

  5. Trucks

G. Hunting

  1. Auburn

@. Nascar

  1. Tobacco

%. Sudafed

[–]someomega 0 points1 point ago

It also works out well if you live in Louisiana. You just press "L" and it jumps right to us because we are the only state to start with "L".

[–]Romblen 0 points1 point ago

This sort of reminds me of living in Wyoming. Just scroll until you hit the bottom of the list.

[–]POWERGULL 0 points1 point ago

since Rhode Island is the only state that starts with a R, all I gotsta to hit is R and BOOM there she is.

[–]IamSando 0 points1 point ago

This is like living in Australia...except it´s not the only good thing about living in Australia, merely an added perk.

[–]JimBroNeal 0 points1 point ago

I hate when you are signing up for some things, and you have to scroll all the way down to "T" or "U" for the United States. First world problems...

[–]SojuSojuSoju 2 points3 points ago

Try being in South Korea and never knowing if it's under "South Korea" or just "Korea."

You always guess wrong.

[–]bolt289 0 points1 point ago

Luckier than us in the UK. Sometimes it's listed at the top, other times it's United Kingdom or sometimes Great Britain or sometimes England.

[–]thepseudonym12344 1 point2 points ago

Also the only good thing about living in Select State:

[–]KarmaKel 1 point2 points ago

i wish i knew that feeling...I live in Texas :(

[–]jellofiend84 1 point2 points ago

Living in Washington, D.C. is the worst. Is it DC? Washington, DC? Oh this website was created by somebody's 13 year old nephew and DC isn't even there at all...

[–]norse77 1 point2 points ago

Wisconsin here, hits W, still has to scroll. Dang you Washington, West Virginia.

[–]dewitnow -1 points0 points ago

In a related note, why do people not re-order the list of countries to include USA at the TOP of the list? Just speaking from a usability standpoint, the most selected options should be located at the top of these drop down lists. If your IP address has you located in the USA, then the USA should be on the top, similarly is you IP address says your in Russia, Russia should be on top.

[–]Irrelevant_muffins 0 points1 point ago

I always just hit G

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points ago

I don't know, Mardi Gras in Mobile is pretty awesome.....and thats about it. but if you ever feel the need for a moon pie, we have you covered!

[–]lozzaBizzle 0 points1 point ago

Motherfucking Indiana! Always forget that little guy when I play name the states. Yes I'm from England.

[–]TinglyThing 0 points1 point ago

I lived in Washington D.C for a while. It's in the "District of Columbia", and not a state, so it doesn't even appear on some of these pull-down lists. I also had a credit application for a mortgage refinance rejected because I failed to list the "state" I lived in.

[–]dupontcircle 0 points1 point ago

You know what sucks about DC? You don't know if it is under D or W, and sometimes they completely forget it.

[–]z3r0gk 0 points1 point ago

I HATE having to scroll down, unless I'm in a FPS game and unless it's for "Science" purposes.

[–]dorsin4 0 points1 point ago

AKA worst thing about living in Wisconsin

[–]dupontcircle 0 points1 point ago

You know what sucks about DC? You don't know if it is under D or W, and sometimes they completely forget it.

I want to be just like Alabama Man!

There's the built-in benefit of living in a shitty state; cheap home prices.

[–]JagTror 0 points1 point ago

Every email account of mine ever: Birthdate: January 1 State: Alabama

Quick pro-tip for Marylanders: When you click the drop-down, type M then the down arrow key once. Should save you a vital 5 seconds.

That's what's nice about living in Wyoming too. You can just scroll all the way to the bottom without having to look.

I find it odd that this list is not in alphabetical order....

As someone who lives in Austria stuff like this always gets complicated.

Most the time websites show all countries with their english names, that's easy.

Some websites show the countries in their own languages, in that case it really gets weird. Austria in german is Österreich, so usually i check for Austria, if that's not there i go to O because quite often Österreich is in there. If it is not i have to scroll to the very bottom where Österreich will be thanks to the 'unknown letter'.

One of my favorite life experiences has been witnessing a jubilee. Only in AL has it been recorded to happen on a somewhat regular basis. Wikipedia mobile bay jubilee, and I have pictures if anyone is interested.

I'm such an entitled American that I get pissed when United States isn't listed first in a list of countries.

Yet another reason that Arkansas still sucks... :'<

[–]akasyap 0 points1 point ago

Indiana is the triple click I after tabbing. You get used to it after a while.

The day I realized that I could just hit the letter my state begins with and it would take me right down to that area on the list...good fuckin' day.

[–]DR_JIM_RUSTLES -1 points0 points ago

Please don't let this become a 'thing' where there are about 10 [FIXED] versions within the day on the front page...

[–]Dynamo-Hum 0 points1 point ago

And that list says "FUCK ALASKA!!! Just FUCK THEM!!!!!"

[–]CasualPolarBear 1 point2 points ago

I wish I lived in Select State. I hear it's pretty easy living over there.

As a Virginian (formerly a West Virginian), I can confirm this.

Who else realized the missing states by singing the states song?

[–]meatwad75892 1 point2 points ago

Until you come across a list of two-letter state codes.

Things I liked about Alabama:

  1. Gator. Seriously, I'd never had it and Stuart McCleery's dad made some for me when I was, like, 10. It was fucking baller.

  2. Bugs. I don't know if you're into them. I am. I like to collect them and they are ripe for the pickings.

  3. I can literally get away with wearing anything.

That said, I like living in fucking California.

I own an Acura. Same thing when buying anything car related.

[–]tridentloop 0 points1 point ago

I hate country lists..

well the ones that don't default the us to the top. Especially on sites that are pretty much US related.

[–]Knight0fSpades 1 point2 points ago

I feel the same way about Colorado, except we have mountains and shit to. Mountains fucking rock.
