I dont want to ruin anyone's fun, but scientifically rainbows can only happen when the water droplets are 42 degrees between the sun and your eyes because of the angle of refraction in the light, so rainbows can ONLY be circular.

Sidenote: double rainbows happen with a more complex refraction that has an extra "bounce" which is why the colors are upside down.
