Hispanic here and I can confirm on this.

Grandpa did a little to harsh, you have to do it so where it doesnt damage the cake. Just enough so one's face is covered in whipping.

I am a white male raised by a Mexican family (major family problems) and every birthday they would say something really fast in spanish and then say face in the cake and push me in. I have pictures of me too. It got quite embarrassing at around 15
