I have pretty much never not had this problem. Thoughts are much quicker than words, and there is some crazy disconnect between my brain and my mouth. I have been told I'm very smart but I'm also always told 'I can't hear anything you're saying' because I'm quiet as well. Pretty much worst combination ever. I have no friends.. I'm surprised I can keep a job.

I'd say the majority of people I know experience this.

Often, these people believe that they're the only one, or are in the minority.

Naturally, there's the possibility that of the people I happen to associate with, they all exhibit this trait. Regardless of how intelligent they are.

But it wakes me wonder if it's something of the human condition.

I've found I get into either of these mindsets:

Observing every little detail and start over analysing the shit out of everything, having discussions with my self, doubting my self, thinking everything is too fucking complicated or has some hidden meaning. Result is me saying fuck all
Observing every little detail, but using the knowledge to exceed at a task having no doubts, super confident, everything is simple...basically the exact opposite of #1. Result is me having confidence in what I'm saying

I much prefer #2 but #1 seems to be happening more often recently which is very annoying. Got high recently; last time it put me in state #2, but this time I wound up in state #1.

I tend to think of these negative thoughts as graffiti in my brain and that I'll eventually walk past them.
