I guess he might hear the rasp of glass-on-glass as he pulls the bowl out, followed by the click/pop of the jar opening, and then the clink and scrape of the grinder... but yeah, if you can hear the actual packing, you got some Spidey-senses there, man.

This reminds me of my grandmothers old candybowl. Glas one. She had it out and filled with candy all the time - you know - grandma' style.

Us kid would always try to sneak up and try and open in without it making a sound. This isn't quite easy as you might figure being a glassman yourself. The trickyness of the situation was only enhanced by all mothers having extremely good hearing - so she could always tell. When she passed my mother and her brother came up with the idea of sharing the bowl a year at a time. When it was at our house I would continue to try and sneak candy out of there, but my mother would always hear the slight "schlink" of glas sliding. I finally mastered it though.

dunno why I wrote all this. Got kind of good high and just had my first chocolate icecream tacothing. awesome.
