            Not in the UK. Youu are bombarded with politics and world news for hours on end. Saturated with Eurozone crisis and the American election. When I was in the US, even worse, it's a 24hour onslaught of depressing or worrying news.

                                    To be fair, from the font of the text it looks like this is a photo of an mX paper. mX is a free commuter paper available in major Australian cities on the bus, train and metro, containing light news, and essentially a lot of strange stories and facts from around the world mixed in with gossip, tv guides, interviews etcetera.
