    On the halo wikia site, it says that elites are generally 2.2 to 2.6 meters tall. Average is 2.4 which is 94.5 inches or 7.8 (or 7.9) feet. So basically elites are 8 feet tall! Imagine trying to fight an elite o.o

    I just got an idea for another mode in the games.

    A survival mode...as a normal marine.

    You're not in one area. You'll play the same campaign the chief does, but alongside the chief. And just like the player, he quickly ditches you. It would be like legendary mode times 10.

    There was actually a mod for Halo 2, I believe, where you could play as a Grunt. Needless to say, turning the corner and seeing Chief everytime you spawn wasn't very fun.

      Wouldn't work; they'd just send an unending tide of jackals and grunts in and camp at the entrances until they flushed you out. If you beat everything they sent at you they'd eventually get bored and blow the bunker apart with wraiths or hunters to get at the oh-so-killable humans inside.       Yeah, also because we mainly see the elites through the eyes of master chief. If you've watched forward unto dawn, then I'm sure you'll agree that they captured the elite flawlessly and that the fear the characters have directly portrays how fighting elites may be like through a regular soldiers eyes. Think halo 3 ODST, elites were a pain simply because you couldn't run in and shoot 4 of them lol.

                i remember how exited i was about halo 2 when it first came out and also how terrified i became when i read the little info booklet and found out elites were almost 8 feet tall or something and grunts were around 5 feet tall.

                Why don't they use the same idea and make a goddamn Dinosaur? You just need to lean a little forward, add a tail and some feathers (maybe) and you are an Allosaurus. This would be way better than those other puppet like dinosaurs that have puppeteer's legs visible under them.
