one thing i have been wondering for a long time, dont subways use that one electric rail to power themselves? you know the one that has a bunch of warning signs saying it contains deadly amounts of voltage etc etc. well, water is conductive, wouldnt the electricity from those rails spread out pretty far to wherever the water is concected? sorry if its a dumb question.
do they turn it off or do the rails just not conduct electricity that way?

the N doesn't stop at 86th street in "southern brooklyn" aka bay ridge.
the 86th street station, which only supports the R train, has it's platform in the middle of the tracks, not on the outsides as seen here.
