Not true that's Long island New York that's my house ... Bohemia NY

Real post: http://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/12aos6/long_island_ny/

[–]bige693[S] 17 points18 points ago

My local news said it was Milford, but I guess they were wrong. My bad.

[–]MrSwarleyStinson 18 points19 points ago

I'm from Milford! and I can verify that they were saying that the pic was taken here. I have no idea where it really was taken, just backing up that bige693 wasn't making crap up.

[–]StaticSlaps 5 points6 points ago

Yea apparently there was a mix up. That is indeed the side on my house in Long Island NY

[–]siegewolf 1 point2 points ago

So someone in Milford did a real life repost. Wow.

[–]sgrace693 -1 points0 points ago

Same here!! I was proud to finally have something on reddit from milford......guess not

[–]dukeslver 30 points31 points ago

go home, you're drunk

[–]jonnybmdub3 0 points1 point ago

Yea, I'm in Wethersfield. Saw the same pic on eyewitness news.

[–]StaticSlaps 3 points4 points ago

[–]hiero_ 0 points1 point ago

Hahaha, do you know who's trampoline that is?

[–]mewhitenoise 0 points1 point ago

There's a guy from CT claiming that he took the photo, because it popped up on my local news (ch 7 Boston). I guess it was a redditor.

Edit: Nevermind, you posted it on reddit after it was sent in.

[–]jazzrz 0 points1 point ago

Well ain't that some shit.

[–]Kage2021 134 points135 points ago

Somebody deserves to be beaten for not chaining that down. How many trampolines do you have to see flying through the air before you realize "Hey, these things can be hazardous during a storm, maybe I should do something about that"

Irresponsible.

[–]gergsie 19 points20 points ago

I know. My neighbors have one in their backyard and I'm just waiting for it to fly away.

[–]majikmixx 54 points55 points ago

Don't. Go over there (if it's still safe to) and tell them! Flying debris is extremely dangerous to everyone in that area! (including you)

[–]Pryach 37 points38 points ago

He's probably waiting for it to fly away so he can put it in his backyard.

[–]listofdemands 15 points16 points ago

Who would could say no to a free trampoline in the current climate....?

[–]hereforthemoney 24 points25 points ago

Personally I'd jump at the chance.

[–]GoReadEmersonAgain 5 points6 points ago

I'd just take the thing and bounce

[–]xNaquada 1 point2 points ago

I would hop to it!

[–]Slightly_Lions 3 points4 points ago

I want a trampoline and would perform actions that one might perform on or in the context of a trampoline.

[–]craniumonempty 0 points1 point ago

I think we hit a spring.

[–]OneHungJedi -1 points0 points ago

[–]PraetorianFury 1 point2 points ago

More likely he's waiting for it to fly away so he can take a picture of it for karma.

[–]2GateProxyCannonRush[!] 1 point2 points ago

Dangerous, but exciting.

[–]drnkrthanjacksparrow 9 points10 points ago

Although real life karma doesn't par up with virtual karma, You should still advise them to chain it down if it's not too late and for future storms.

[–]hbrew24 2 points3 points ago

Aaaaand it's gone.

[–]OneHungJedi 1 point2 points ago

We used to have one as kids in Ohio, and my mom would have us disasemble it whenever there was a big storm coming. Needless to say, we didn't have it very long.

[–]LtCthulhu 0 points1 point ago

I remember taking our trampoline completely apart before each of the 3 hurricanes in FLorida, 2004.

[–]MythOfLight 3 points4 points ago

goddammit

[–]77captainunderpants 0 points1 point ago

ok..Hurricane Bawbag?

[–]The_moderaper 8 points9 points ago

The thing is, I know who's trampoline that is.

[–]Kage2021 7 points8 points ago

It's yours isn't it?

Get the pitchforks guys!

[–]RubenLWD 3 points4 points ago

scumbag redditor rather goes on reddit then hooking down hes trampoline

[–]jazzrz 1 point2 points ago

Pitchforks and trampolines don't mix well.

[–]Kage2021 1 point2 points ago

Apparently you attended my sons 3 year old birthday party.

No hard feelings, hope the oxyclean removed the blood spots.

[–]greenspank34 2 points3 points ago

is it the guy who runs the 518 page on FB?

[–]jeangenie18 1 point2 points ago

My neighbors trampoline flew out of their yard earlier and almost hit a van. Luckily a cop car was right behind it and put it away in the yard and threw crap on top of it.

I hope he comes back and gives them a fine for endangering people. They weren't even home.

[–]Ziczak 2 points3 points ago

What fucking assholes! Trampolines are nothing but danger. That will take down power for the whole neighborhood

[–]PostalPenguin 0 points1 point ago

And if that thing snaps the power lines, they'll be responsible for taking down power to their neighbors.

[–]prisonmsagro 1 point2 points ago

While we're at it, lets also tell folks to make sure to chain down their homes!

[–]cypriss 1 point2 points ago

upvote for ridiculousness downvote for title

[–]Inamo 22 points23 points ago

[–]drnkrthanjacksparrow 19 points20 points ago

looks like someone ran out of sneakers

[–]outOfNameSpace 39 points40 points ago

Why do people think it is a good idea to leave these out in a hurricane?

[–]spartan4333 16 points17 points ago

You try fitting that in a garage.

[–]angertrain 9 points10 points ago

They disassemble.

[–]AdmiralSkippy -4 points-3 points ago

In a hurricane I'm not going outside to disassemble my trampoline.

[–]lifetothefullest54 8 points9 points ago

it's not like the media has bombarded us with news about hurricane winds for the last week...

[–]siegewolf 1 point2 points ago

I didn't know until Saturday night.

[–]DarkRider23 0 points1 point ago

Then be a responsible adult and disassemble it a few days before. The amount of stupidity in leaving a trampoline assembled during a hurricane is astounding.

[–]phqu88 0 points1 point ago

Oh shut up. Chaining it down is fine. Soap boxer

[–]SpinningDespina 0 points1 point ago

I'm not an expert, and just theorising here, But would turning it upside down and putting something heavy on it work?
Edit - NVM someone else furthur down said that's exactly what they do!

[–]U-235 0 points1 point ago

You don't even have to turn it upside down, just put weights or sand bags on the legs.

[–]bobdisgea 2 points3 points ago

Here in Florida(or at least at my house growing up) we just flip it over and put some heavy shit on top of it(I also did not have a net because we are not pussies(I broke my arm getting off a trampoline when I was 10)).

Basically this is another case of Northerner's being to dumb to deal with a hurricane as far as I am concerned.

[–]MijnWraak 1 point2 points ago

[–]mewhitenoise 0 points1 point ago

Popped up in Mass. with the same info a few moments ago, so it's the guy messing around with news stations in the area. I wish I remembered the name.

[–]Neckrow 1 point2 points ago

It was on wtnh and on the news though.

[–]sarahjordan 4 points5 points ago

I was born and raised in Milford! I'm so glad we aren't there for this seeing as the long island sound was our backyard. Living in PA though so we are not totally safe

[–]digitalslut 0 points1 point ago

It was actually in Bohemia, Long Island.

[–]sarahjordan 0 points1 point ago

ohhhh, thanks for clearing that up!

Holy shit. I guess I wasn't the only one with the idea to post this to reddit... Just the first.

[–]Troq -2 points-1 points ago

I saw it in comments from another thread before this post, so no, you weren't.

[–]Dkid 2 points3 points ago

This is actually in Bohemia, NY which is on Long Island

[–]Sindaelys 1 point2 points ago

I was gonna say... Our winds have been exciting, but not quite drunken trampoline exciting. Of course, I'm nestled away from the coast on the western end of the state, so I could just be getting the "light" stuff.

[–]joewaffle1Dayum nature you scary 0 points1 point ago

Hory shet. I've seen some trampolines tip over and go maybe 10 feet away, but that's a little ridiculous.

[–]PatDuffyNewark, DE 1 point2 points ago

It's going to take a crane to get that down.

[–]damnimrunningoutBucks County PA 0 points1 point ago

So glad we got rid of trampoline earlier this year. It may have ended up a few houses down in this weather.

[–]Midlifehippo 0 points1 point ago

As a student going to school in Connecticut, I am glad I went home for the weekend...

[–]bige693[S] 4 points5 points ago

I came from school on Long Island to my home in CT... I guess it was the lesser of 2 evils.

[–]Dr_Medic345Mordor 0 points1 point ago

Same. Where at, my good friend?

[–]Midlifehippo 0 points1 point ago

New haven. And you?

[–]Dr_Medic345Mordor 0 points1 point ago

Shit. Same here, bro.

[–]breachgnome 1 point2 points ago

Now kiss.

[–]DiscountPonies 0 points1 point ago

[–]nicksatdown 0 points1 point ago

Terrible place to stand.

[–]DaveBeCrazy 1 point2 points ago

In Connecticut you don't jump on trampoline, trampoline jump on everything.

[–]Deegamah 0 points1 point ago

Wow... small world. A friend of my roommate's posted this on fb.

[–]Icypancakes81 1 point2 points ago

Oh my god, oh my god, trampoline!

[–]jeeebus 1 point2 points ago

Oh my god...Tramapoline!

[–]spacexfalcon 0 points1 point ago

If those are power lines, then that could be deadly. Be careful!

[–]roeeroee 1 point2 points ago

Wow. Just posted the same picture not knowing OP already has done so... OP and I are neighbors

[–]Screaming_Emu 0 points1 point ago

I will give you exactly 3 dollars to go jump on that.

[–]Dr_Medic345Mordor 0 points1 point ago

You know, I wish I didn't leave the rum in the fridge back in my dorm. Just take a bit home with me and drink.

[–]jrd08003 0 points1 point ago

residents of Milford, CT report in!!!!

[–]imatoofbrush 1 point2 points ago

No, this is actually from Bohemia, NY.

[–]Szos 1 point2 points ago

GF sent me that picture not too long ago and it just pissed me off to no end. Some lazy ass d-bag can't go out there and weigh down their stuff and now that trampoline could easily kill the power for an entire neighborhood if it hits the right lines.

Fucken people.

[–]Tess8609 0 points1 point ago

I saw this on Facebook two hours ago... Hello Milford trampoline!

[–]GrotyNew Haven County, CT 0 points1 point ago

I'm pretty sure this is happening in a lot of places

[–]Supaah 0 points1 point ago

If you get it down do you get to keep the trampoline.

[–]OptimusSublime 0 points1 point ago

ELECTRIC TRAMPOLINE! Both an awesome concept and a fantastic band name.

[–]VonBrewskie 0 points1 point ago

What a shocking display of irresponsibility.

[–]cornisgood13 0 points1 point ago

[–]skye985 0 points1 point ago

[–]shessna 0 points1 point ago

[–]Get_Smart 0 points1 point ago

Pro tip....take the safety enclosure off then flip it upside down and stake it to the ground.

[–]Sengura 0 points1 point ago

Milford? That's like 10m away from me =/

[–]BlazeUp -1 points0 points ago

Why are these power lines not underground?

[–]Braden22 0 points1 point ago

GAME ON

[–]Kaytee_Anne 0 points1 point ago

This used to happen to my trampoline all the time at home in Indiana. It was my favorite thing in the world so we went through like 4 of them, and pieces from others. It hit my mom's car twice, and went about 400 yards into the field multiple times. I put it back together every time. This picture makes me so sad because if it were mine, I would try to get it down, and possibly kill myself doing it.

[–]duchovny 0 points1 point ago

Downvoted for the title.

[–]MakeLikeATreeAndGo 0 points1 point ago

Why would you leave this outside and not dismantled or at the very least strapped right down?

Fucking people.

[–]El_Hamerino 0 points1 point ago

Am I the only one that wants to bounce on it?

[–]dudeedud4 1 point2 points ago

[–]crashaddict 0 points1 point ago

Jesus fucking Christ, how do you look in your backyard when a hurricane is coming and say, "yeah, were good, the trampoline shouldn't be a missile risk"? It's a large hunk of metal with a built in sail in a hurricane, this is how people die

[–]zcast 1 point2 points ago

This was on Long Island

[–]REDDIT_RAMPAGE 1 point2 points ago

No, he's not drunk, he's just high.

[–]RedditLiberals -3 points-2 points ago

Uh, do people really give a shit about this hurricane? I couldn't care less, even if half the US population perished in the storm.
