i've already been wrong once in this thread, but unless everything i knew about frogs and toads was a lie then this is not true. Frogs require a source of water to live, or at least a very moist or humid environment. Without this source of moisture, a frog's skin is especially vulnerable to drying out. Toads are much more resilient to this sort of threat and can travel much further from bodies of water because of it. Toads also have a tendency to store poison in their skin, and licking them can cause hallucinations. There are some exceptions to these rules too, like the poison dart frog that lives in the rain forest and could get you sick from just touching it, you'd be dead if you licked that one.
