I'd leave it. The last time it was posted in /r/funny and had even a slight chance of reaching the front page was 9 months ago and it very likely didn't reach the front page. Even if it did reach the front page it was not while american redditors were on, or for an extremely low amount of time.

My general rule of thumb is 4 months without front page in the same subreddit, though everyone has different rules. You're well in the clear in my opinion.

I know, but there are no acids "in" DNA; the bases in DNA are what matter, and differences in the base sequence can cause variation in an organism.

The phrase in the comic just bothered me because I think it means to refer to the sequence of bases, but instead says acids. I'm a stickler for details, sorry. XP
