[–]Blakwulf 366 points367 points ago

Very fancy and all, but it just looks like he put his tie on backwards.

[–]eldredgeknot 55 points56 points ago

[–]baconisgoodforme 75 points76 points ago

It's the braided belt of tie knots.

[–]khold 86 points87 points ago

Looks like it's on backwards because of the weird backwards dimple. Also, that knot is too big for that collar.

[–]amolad 34 points35 points ago

Yes, yes and yes.

[–]Cisco2600 4 points5 points ago

Exactly this, also he has a fine neck which makes such a large knot look like a hangman's noose. I have an 18 1/2 inch neck and I think I would still hesitate to use such a large knot.

[–]hgeyer99 4 points5 points ago

Fellow 18 and a halfer!!!

[–]JXDB 138 points139 points ago

Yeah, backwards and sideways.

I'm sure the hipsters will love it.

[–]PoisonvilleKids 325 points326 points ago

[–]ibanez5150 216 points217 points ago

I rest my case, your honor.

[–]mr_darwins_tortoise 24 points25 points ago

Oh, I thought that was just a figure of speech. Case closed.

[–]Hezakiah 29 points30 points ago

Bring in the dancing lobsters!

[–]fabtastik 34 points35 points ago

And this is why I unsubscribed from /MFA long ago...

[–]Arcs_Of_A_Jar 15 points16 points ago

And you also have the wrong perception of MFA. For some reason you're automatically associating MFA with this picture, while I can tell you for fact that if that picture was posted there it would be bashed to hell and back for: wearing vest without sportcoat, wearing earplugs, the knot being too big for the collar, and finally the Eldredge knot itself.

[–]un1ty 26 points27 points ago

Dang.

I was thinking that MFA would be full of awesomeness, but it's just apparently hipster fashion advice.

What about the suits? MODERN SUITS, DAMNIT!

[–]Arcs_Of_A_Jar 6 points7 points ago

And you're getting trapped by the other guy's perception. I'm one of the people that's actually starting to get tired of too many suit posts in MFA, but I can fully assure you that it's a very prominent topic.

[–]b0w3n 23 points24 points ago

Clearly you should get some thick rimmed glasses, a tight form fitting shirt, some skinny jeans (wear it with your dress shirt!) and some red-orange work boots!

And a jean-coat.

Or something, I don't know the advice there is pretty terrible all around. Whenever someone tells me people look at shoes as their first impressions I just shut down. Yeah first thing I do is look down at everyone's shoes.

[–]orangejello1984 10 points11 points ago

I always notice shoes almost immediately. But...I'm also a lady. Sometimes I'll be walking with my BF and say, "wow, I love her shoes." His reply? "She had legs?"

[–]massivelydinky 13 points14 points ago

Ooh. Lets not forget how everything needs to be tailored to fit except your jeans. Jeans need to be way too long so you can roll them up.

[–]iNVWSSV 2 points3 points ago

dont forget that the jeans also need to cost at least $175. Everything else? Rubbish.

[–]massivelydinky 3 points4 points ago

"Where can I find this extremely nice $200 jacket for $30 or less? It just came out this week."

[–]iNVWSSV 0 points1 point ago

you're thinking of FMF. Better sub though, which isn't saying much, now that I think of it.

[–]mattindustries 19 points20 points ago

Many do notice your shoes right away. I have received compliments in the past when I would cycle nice shoes into the mix. Your habits in regard to observation aren't the end all be all. Also, I would like to point out most people in the WORLD understand that a nicely fitted shirt will look nicer than a baggy band shirt. Not a fan of the denim coat look, but it seems like their advice is at least a step up from Cheetos stained jeans and a thinkgeek shirt paired with a fedora. This is coming from someone who just picked up another band shirt at a show Wednesday and am wearing a terribly fit wool sweater. Time and a place for everything.

[–]b0w3n 12 points13 points ago

Cheeto stained jeans go with every look.

[–]damngifs 4 points5 points ago

Dude, Desert Boots, not "work boots". Christ.

/s

[–]CaesarOrgasmus 5 points6 points ago

Are you saying that suits should be recommended more? Because suits are worn under very specific circumstances. If you think the secret to looking good is wearing a suit all the time, you're going to look like a moron.

[–]Olyeller 7 points8 points ago

Barney would disagree.

[–]un1ty 2 points3 points ago

There is definitely a suit for every occasion - it just may not be a 'formal' suit.

[–]amberrgerr 17 points18 points ago

Fuck that this guy looks great. Reddit is just jelly

[–]Cptn_Sisko 5 points6 points ago

He is really cute.

[–]buakaw 6 points7 points ago

That dress shirt is way too tight.

[–]Drawtaru 2 points3 points ago

I laughed so loud!

[–]Stern3D 7 points8 points ago

Holy fuck, as a completely straight guy, that's one sexy motherfucker.

[–]raging_asshole 10 points11 points ago

And the tie itself looks like shit below the knot, all twisted and uneven.

I like a knot that allows the tie to hang straight and lie flat.

[–]you_sir_are_wrong 2 points3 points ago

yep, looks like ass how it bunches up at the bottom too

[–]losthoughts 4 points5 points ago

Yea its great if you feel like having people tell you that your tie is fucked up all day long.

[–]not_the_smart_one 11 points12 points ago

Looks like an upside down bamboo shoot. http://i.imgur.com/MSCDV.jpg. Looks stupid.

[–]notdez 4 points5 points ago

It looks like dog genitalia.

[–]colslaue 2 points3 points ago

Agreed. A regular knot is easier/looks better

[–]aequitas3 78 points79 points ago

Now let's see the Eldritch knot.

[–]SirBinks 378 points379 points ago

[–]zennifer 30 points31 points ago

I'd love to see this walk into a meeting.

[–]Aeolean 8 points9 points ago

Thank you for this.

[–]Aeolean 7 points8 points ago

I thought that's what it was until I reread the title.

[–]Paradoxius 4 points5 points ago

Me too. Was disappoint.

[–]timecatalyst 2 points3 points ago

I'd show you, but then my daily would be exhausted.

[–]Drunken_Economist 137 points138 points ago

That tie bar is way too high

[–]JAPH 43 points44 points ago

Seriously. The point of a tie clip is to hold a tie in place and stop it from swinging around. That's not a concern with only three inches of the tie visible above the waistcoat. Even if he unbuttons it later, the clip is far too high to do any good.

[–]Las_Vegas_Nerd 62 points63 points ago

Actually, with as much of the length of the tie that he used in that knot, the bar could very well be near the bottom of the remaining material :D

[–]Pronto_Breakneck 8 points9 points ago

I used an ediety knot last week, which is kind of similar. The narrow end of the tie was about five inches below the knot. It annoyed me for most of the day.

That said, if you're wearing a tie every fucking day, it's nice to mix it up now and then with a nonstandard knot.

[–]The_New_Flesh 59 points60 points ago

But then how would people see the gnarly skull?

[–]elcolacho 7 points8 points ago

bu- but, how are people going to see it if I clip where I'm supposed to?

[–]the_recluse 3 points4 points ago

it's prob just for decoration, I think it's cool. it makes a formal outfit less serious

[–]raddits 0 points1 point ago

It also resembles the SS skull and crossbones. I wouldn't walk around with something that could me mistaken for that, unless youre going for that metro-neo nazi look.

[–]Spacewolf67 10 points11 points ago

I'm sorry but that in no way resembles a Deaths Head (aka Totenkopf). Looks more like a standard Jolly Roger type Skull and Crossbones to me.

[–]intravenus_de_milo 229 points230 points ago

Reddit: That's different! I hate it. Be the same hipster.

[–]Simon_the_Cannibal 129 points130 points ago

Seriously. This is a cool, unusual knot (much like the Ediety Knot) and people seem to be shitting on the guy for taking the time to add a little flair to his appearance.

[–]theamazingjimz 13 points14 points ago

Does that count toward his minimum of 14 pieces of flair?

[–]rasputine 13 points14 points ago

I think most people are blasting him for doing it poorly...

The complaints i've seen are that: He fucked up the fold, he's wearing too small a colar, his bar is ridiculously high up and that's an awful shirt.

[–]thegreattrun 41 points42 points ago

Totally agree. That knot looks awesome.

See you on the 3rd, sir! :)

[–]Simon_the_Cannibal 0 points1 point ago

Looking forward to it!

[–]weasel-like 0 points1 point ago

nowkiss.jpg

[–]CoyoteStark 6 points7 points ago

I just think it looks messy and too crinkly. Stick with a double windsor.

[–]Simon_the_Cannibal 9 points10 points ago

I think the "Double" (aka "Full" or just "Windsor") looks way too fat - stick with a Half-Windsor (the variant, of course, because it's both self-releasing and symmetrical).

[–]informationmissing 6 points7 points ago

The half-windsor is lopsided, and not at all symmetrical.

[–]Simon_the_Cannibal 4 points5 points ago

Again, I was talking about the variant. See the second set of instructions here.

[–]gyro12 -2 points-1 points ago

The thing is "cool and unusual" and "formal dress wear" usually don't overlap. The only times I can think of someone doing this and I wouldn't think twice are:

You're a groom. You're supposed to be the most noticed guy there, so drawing attention to yourself with a fancy knot is okay.

High school prom. You're in high school, you're not trying to impress everyone, and can still get away with doing whatever the hell you want and using the "I was a stupid high schooler" excuse.

Most other times you're in a suit, you shouldn't really be trying to draw attention to yourself.

[–]Simon_the_Cannibal 19 points20 points ago

You sound like the kind of person who only wears a suit to job interviews and funerals. This seems perfectly appropriate to wear on a Friday night out with friends or to a casual cocktail party or similar function.

Also, this is hardly drawing attention to oneself - it's at most a conversation piece. It's an accessory, just like a ring, a watch, or dressy shoes.

[–]Houndie 4 points5 points ago

3) At a swing dance

[–]stacecom 4 points5 points ago

Worry not! Next week, every redditor who wears a tie will wear it with this knot!

[–]homochrist 3 points4 points ago

and they'll either get mad no one noticed or get defensive when someone says they're wearing it because of reddit

[–]Ashivas 49 points50 points ago

He went the extra mile to improve his personal appearance by making a decorative clothing item a little more interesting. LOL WHAT A FAGGOT. FUCK THIS GUY.

[–]Kanye_Westicles 12 points13 points ago

dude, it's an ugly knot.

[–]Measlymonkey 40 points41 points ago

You, sir, are an ugly knot.

[–]iforgotmylegs 43 points44 points ago

My attempt.

Could probably use more practice. Here's the guide I followed.

It took me a while to get it right, but I feel like with some more practice I could easily tie this in 2-3 minutes. Still probably not something you'd wear to the office every day but it would look nice at a special occasion.

[–]astronoob 54 points55 points ago

I think it looks really bad with a patterned tie.

[–]dong6 18 points19 points ago

it created a nasty crease under the knot.

[–]UNHDude 7 points8 points ago

This is the only thing I don't like about this picture. I think the pattern makes the knot itself look cool but it draws attention to the crease underneath the knot.

[–]Barnden 6 points7 points ago

You even got the beard right!

[–]Leetzers 4 points5 points ago

It's sort of cool how the lines almost line up

[–]PoliteCorp 352 points353 points ago

Call me a pretentious, douchey, cunt hipster, but I think that's rad.

[–]cocoria 25 points26 points ago

To wear this knot you require:

1) A large neck (larger than the dude in the OP, preferably)

2) A thin tie (so the knot doesn't come out enormous)

3) A tie that is flat color, or at least mostly so, as the knot looks strange with most patterned ties

If you have all 3 of those things, it looks rad as hell.

[–]KaiserHSoze 120 points121 points ago

Is there a pretentious, douchey, cunt hipster club I can join? For I too find that most rad.

[–]PoliteCorp 205 points206 points ago

Yes, it's called Reddit.

[–]rockne 83 points84 points ago

You've probably never heard of it...

[–]that057guy 16 points17 points ago

I want to get it on this solely because I've been saying rad since the early eighties. Oh and that knot is boss.

[–]pFrog 6 points7 points ago

In said boat as well, everyone else can go fuck themselves, I am learning this asap.

[–]KingOfKhan 11 points12 points ago

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5n_Sp18_Go instructional video for you sir

[–]boardin1 13 points14 points ago

The dimple being backwards bothers me, but other than that I think it is pretty cool as well.

[–]PoliteCorp 11 points12 points ago

I am going to a Harry Potter themed Yule Ball (yes, I am that kind of nerd) and I wanted something that would stand out. This is perfect.

[–]cocoria 3 points4 points ago

I honestly think "Yule Ball" might be the nerdiest part of that sentence, not "Harry Potter themed".

[–]Av3Seeker 1 point2 points ago

A perfect solution for when a shelby knot is too small.

[–]spunkymarimba 14 points15 points ago

You're a pretentious, douchey, cunt hipster.

[–]PoliteCorp 15 points16 points ago

Well, I walked right into that one.

[–]ZOMBIEWINEGUM 4 points5 points ago

I like the word rad.

[–]zutsori 85 points86 points ago

[–]dasmev0012 4 points5 points ago

He cares far too much and I care far too little

[–]needaAKA 15 points16 points ago

Tutorial?

[–]joetheschmoe4000[S] 34 points35 points ago

[–]douchebag420 10 points11 points ago

It looks like you can't tighten the tie.

[–]kris919 5 points6 points ago

When I was done with the video, that was the first thing I thought of.

[–]sexybassman 3 points4 points ago

Hold the knot and pull on the thick part of the tie. You just can't loosen it.

[–]specialkake 33 points34 points ago

"The good news is that it looks cool! The bad news is that it kills you."

[–]papermacheischewy 5 points6 points ago

Good grief, I can't handle that color tie with that color shirt. It's driving me nuts.

[–]eldredgeknot 1 point2 points ago

You're right. I'm getting better, I promise.

[–]Coop3 1 point2 points ago

I hear you, red dress shirt is a no, and the pattern of the tie with this 'interesting' knot, is way too busy.

[–]eldredgeknot 173 points174 points ago

Cough

Edit: While I don't think the look of the gentleman in OP's photo is necessarily bad, the execution of the knot was a little very lax.

A few comments in my knots defense:

[–]justjoshingyou 31 points32 points ago

go you.

[–]maleboks 5 points6 points ago

oh hey, you're the guy in the video right? Fuck em, I like the knot. Good video too.

[–]eldredgeknot 5 points6 points ago

thatsthejoke.jpg

But seriously, thanks. Fuck the haters -- Or whatever you kids say.

[–]outrunsilver 5 points6 points ago

http://i.imgur.com/jnqmG.jpg

He does look like a douche though.

[–]Paranoid_Marvin 12 points13 points ago

Blimey, you look like a cunt.

[–]LifeIsATireSwing 4 points5 points ago

It still looks awful IMO. Sorry. To each their own.

Also, I have to wear ties frequently for work. If I, or a co-worker, ever tied their tie that way, they'd probably be thought of as a jackass.

But, it's you're thing. That's cool.

Also, if that's your tie collection, while I'm jealous of all the colors you have, why are they all the same pattern?

[–]totallywontstabyou 4 points5 points ago

I think this kind of knot isn't meant for people to wear to work. It's for the kind of look the person in the picture is going for.

I think it's interesting, but is absolutely not for work or a business environment.

[–]eldredgeknot 7 points8 points ago

Simmer down kids. I wear a half or full Windsor to work.

[–]mojomonkeyfish 69 points70 points ago

I saw some crap on here a few weeks ago about James Bond disliking the Windsor, and I was like, "Hey, fuck you, James Bond, I have a large head, and it requires a large knot to balance it out."

I cannot think of any legitimate reason for this knot, other than to redirect the focus away from your gauges.

[–]soapstud 123 points124 points ago

You can't be any more right.

[–]blewisCU 77 points78 points ago

That knot is way too large for his shrunken, hipster collar.

[–]Peuned 13 points14 points ago

I dont think the knot scales with the collar and pattern.

I'd have gone half windsor ..

[–]cysgr8 36 points37 points ago

As a female, I'm going to have to disagree with this venn diagram after seeing above picture, OP looks handsome. This pic can be used for those lame "what really turns you girls on??" links that pop up every week on r/askreddit

[–]UNHDude 28 points29 points ago

Gay dude who also thinks it/he looks sexy, and I hate ties in general (at least wearing them).

Ties serve no purpose other than style, so I don't see what this whole talk of "lolwtf is the point of this" is about.

[–]thebugguy 6 points7 points ago

They are originally for hiding buttons and the "split" between the shirt halves.

[–]UNHDude 8 points9 points ago

Which is also just a style thing ;-)

[–]mojomonkeyfish 11 points12 points ago

Ties serve no purpose other than style

Come on. With deference to the fact that all human language, verbal and nonverbal, is essentially the result of entirely arbitrary choices, it's incredibly naive to say that clothing "serves no purpose". Far from it, modern attire conveys more information than at any point in history.

The krevat, far from being an arbitrary fashion accessory, is a former piece of military attire. How it is worn, how it is tied, the size, the shape, and the color, fundamentally, are meant to send a message.

I hate ties, and I hate wearing them. But, walking into a professional situation without one is like attending a formal military dinner in work coveralls. It's entirely the wrong uniform.

This knot is right up there with the piano-tie. Interesting, but only really appropriate for holiday parties, or young hipsters getting gussied up for a night on the town. This dude is probably the latter... but, damn, with a smile like that he doesn't need any help from a knot that looks like it belongs in the realm of napkin-geese.

[–]UNHDude 7 points8 points ago

Note I said "no purpose other than style. I realize that style is important, and I wear ties to interviews and other places where they are required. I don't personally like them somewhat on principal (I think style should try to be somewhat practical, and I find the sensation of having a tie on uncomfortable and therefor impractical. This is the same reason I am not a fan of high heels, though lucky for me my gender isn't expected to wear those.) They also aren't my particular style. Formal wear doesn't resonate with me as much as it does some people. I'm not completely oblivious to style, but it's important to me that the way I dress conveys my personality and I don't feel like that is the case when I'm wearing a tie, so I only wear one when I have to.

I'm just saying that asking what the point of a certain knot is is a bit silly for something like a tie. A tie doesn't serve a physical practical purpose (like a belt or watch might) other than aesthetically or to convey status or whatever, so if a person decides that this knot is what they want to wear it's serving just as much of a purpose as any other knot that someone else wears.

[–]drumstyx 0 points1 point ago

He'd be just as well off with a windsor though...

[–]futurespice 2 points3 points ago

He looks like he has an artichoke tied to his neck

[–]lukeman3000 1 point2 points ago

As a female, you have bad taste in tie knots

[–]jslondon85 0 points1 point ago

I didn't mind it in the OP's picture, but I hate how it looks in this one.

[–]aksid -1 points0 points ago

holy shit this guy looks like a douche.

[–]Gumburcules 10 points11 points ago

James Bond didn't like the windsor knot because windsor knots were a signature of SMERSH - his arch enemies. It had nothing to do with fashion.

[–]Topbong 188 points189 points ago

Reason? What would reason have to do with it?

It's a tie knot. Ties are essentially decorative. This makes it more decorative.

[–]MegaMeatSlapper85 6 points7 points ago

I've found having a unique knot at job interviews actually makes you stand out. You would be surprised how many recruiters notice small things like that which set you apart from the rest.

Edit: My personal favorite for a while has been the Atlantic

Re-edit: For everyone saying this looks like a backwards Windsor knot, this is what a Windsor looks like reversed. Not really the same, eh?

[–]cyco 73 points74 points ago

I'd have to see it in context, but from that picture it just looks like a really poor attempt at tying a regular knot.

[–]IZ3820 26 points27 points ago

I'd have to agree. It looks disorganized.

[–]OldManHenry 26 points27 points ago

If I were doing job interviews I would honestly think that was a failed attempt at tying a tie... I've neither seen it nor heard of it before today.

[–]WigginIII 12 points13 points ago

I think you need to try the Christensen or the Onasis! You can also get a tie pin and look like a bauss.

Great resource: http://dresslikeagrownup.blogspot.com/2012/08/a-four-in-hand-is-worth-eight-in-bush.html

And an entire tie encyclopedia: http://www.tcm.phy.cam.ac.uk/~tmf20/tieknots.shtml

[–]laszlomoholy -1 points0 points ago

No, this makes it look like you just kept making knots in your tie until it stayed around your neck.

[–]nolez 11 points12 points ago

Is this not the appropriate way?

...I really need to learn to make a proper tie knot.

[–]Vessix 8 points9 points ago

I'm a fire performer and we use a tie with our uniform. The tie I use always works the tail out of it's loop (proper terms for tie anatomy?). I didn't know there were ways of tying a tie so the tail isn't hanging down. With that kind of knot I wouldn't have to ruin the tie with a safety pin when I don't have a proper clip.

Bam! Legitimate reason.

[–]ManiacalV 2 points3 points ago

Bow tie!

[–]LettersFromTheSky 10 points11 points ago

My thoughts upon seeing the picture was:

"I don't know how to tie a tie - but close enough!"

[–]cathyblues 30 points31 points ago

I think it looks pretty awesome!

[–]CowtheHankDog 35 points36 points ago

In this thread, I learned that guys can be just as fussy about their clothing as any woman I know.

[–]astronoob 18 points19 points ago

[–]chadpatrick 13 points14 points ago

[–]meansoody 7 points8 points ago

I'm upset this is not a real thing. Also try r/potcallskettle

[–]chadpatrick 2 points3 points ago

Nice ;)

[–]The-Architect 1 point2 points ago

[–]heyimrick 10 points11 points ago

I've never seen a guy get shit on so badly for JUST A TIE. Sheesh, its almost like people have different things that they like and different fashion sense.

[–]bmmbooshoot 2 points3 points ago

no kidding. no one is forcing you to like it, right? i think it looks stylish. does he need a clip? technically no, but again! just a decoration. people need to chill.

[–]the_recluse 3 points4 points ago

seriously, TIL that redditors get as circlejerky at what other people are wearing as they do about atheism

[–]bmmbooshoot 2 points3 points ago

i mean who even gives a fuck.

he looks better dressed than most people i see traipsing about so i can't complain.

[–]jsnoots 5 points6 points ago

I can't tie any fancy knots because I have a large neck and a long torso. Any fancy knots makes the tie only able to reach my belly button. Not a good look.

[–]rulingclass 4 points5 points ago

don't they have ties for taller/larger people? get one of those.

[–]samuraislider 2 points3 points ago

My fingers broke just looking at it.

[–]luellasindon 16 points17 points ago

I like the knot part, but the bit that comes out from the knot would look better if it sort of poofed out instead of denting in like it does.

[–]thomsonwithnop 17 points18 points ago

knot bad

[–]R88SHUN 2 points3 points ago

(Not pictured: 4 inch tie under vest)

[–]amberrgerr 4 points5 points ago

Fuck the haters this is neat. Applauds

[–]slutsusecrutches 16 points17 points ago

This is the adult version of those kids you knew that refused to lace up their shoes like normal people.

[–]media_guru 1 point2 points ago

That pin is an interesting touch...

[–]CodyModo 1 point2 points ago

Can we get a woman's opinion on this? Personally, I like it.

[–]turtle_in_trenchcoat 1 point2 points ago

A tie to a button-down shirt? What are you, an animal?

[–]xhable 7 points8 points ago

Not sure I'd wear this! Looks a bit weird.

[–]insurgi 4 points5 points ago

This is so sexy... I'm not sure why I'm so turned on...

[–]juddnasty 2 points3 points ago

I think it looks pretty sweet...but hey, fuck me right?

[–]Browncowpotato 0 points1 point ago

i feel like this is some yale skull and bones secret society shit here

[–]vulpes_occulta 2 points3 points ago

Nice and elegant. The skull tie clip makes me think he's working in a high-end marijuana dispensary.

[–]deepfriedchimichanga 1 point2 points ago

I'm more a Pratt knot kinda guy.

[–]bmmbooshoot 2 points3 points ago

people are HATIN' up in this these comments.

also it's ironic that you're telling someone that they have a pretentious tie. like a man can't tie his damn tie however he wants, he has to do it YOUR WAY.

[–]noanesthesia 2 points3 points ago

It's no Windsor.

[–]StaleCanole 0 points1 point ago

SO many...hipsters...

[–]King1001 2 points3 points ago

I havent even met this guy and I still think that he i a douche.

[–]mjv21 6 points7 points ago

It's interesting, but it looks very very sloppy to me.

[–]AKASquared 2 points3 points ago

Define "sloppy".

[–]x21in2010x 13 points14 points ago

Not to judge the execution by this man, but the style itself present many folds that conventional/popular knots try to hide. The "guts" so to say are highly exposed.

[–]qqbronze 6 points7 points ago

see where the tie comes out below the knot? its off center and dimples the wrong way. Looks like he didn't spend any time dressing the knot

[–]Sadikonuska 4 points5 points ago

I've seen this before, but never executed so well.. That is a sexy knot.

[–]Mortmortmort 3 points4 points ago

Pointless tie clip.

[–]4ss4ssin -1 points0 points ago

looks like vagina meat

[–]TheRedArrow 0 points1 point ago

My family has always tied our shoes in a way that my mom called "The Eldredge Knot" because that was her mom's maiden name. I don't know what to believe anymore...

[–]knobrot 0 points1 point ago

You always could spot an Eldredge man.

[–]ninjaface -1 points0 points ago

It just looks like it's been tied wrong.

[–]SemiSeriousSam 0 points1 point ago

Looks odd.

[–]Letsgetacid 1 point2 points ago

Hmm. The more I look at it, the more I'm unsure if I like it. The overlay looks sort of neat, but it also looks like you tied your tie backwards.

There must be certain patterns that this looks better with.

[–]Hefeweize 1 point2 points ago

If I saw this. My first thought would be this person really fucked up ones tie

[–]rocketwidget 1 point2 points ago

If your tie isn't the same on the front and back, this will look stupid.

[–]flamedragoon345 0 points1 point ago

this isnt the eldridge, this is the braided knot

[–]savagestarshine 0 points1 point ago

my brain switches between "ooh a rose, pretty!" and "ugh a praying mantis head with an eyepatch!"

[–]thr33ve 2 points3 points ago

How to anyone? Bad video, but it does the trick.

[–]Koonce 1 point2 points ago

Reminds me of the Merovingian's tie from The Matrix.

[–]imu2 0 points1 point ago

I though it was very hot until I saw Exhibit B.

[–]Thorin07 1 point2 points ago

Looks like a good way to beat the shit out of a tie really quick.

[–]jslondon85 1 point2 points ago

The knot is interesting, but he should do without the tie-clip.

[–]outfoxthefox 2 points3 points ago

As a lady, I quite like this. At least it's something new.
